UPDATE: Those who are not satisfied with the font collection from FONOMIZE SP(only a few fonts available) can search on google "FLIPFONT.APK" and u can then just look at other threads and links to get cool fonts

So did you port this? It looks a lot like a renamed copy of whitehawkxs previous kc1 release. Im going to decompile and have a look. I sure hope this isn't like your cwm posts.
I am a little confused by your intentions.

I think this only works with HIS way of CMW. Which nobody uses except himself. So what's the point. Might as well delete this thread.

MIUI Non Japanese Themes

Is there a site or place to go dedicated to American/English MIUI themes? Every single one on the Themes app seems to be in Japanese!! Thanks!
You mean chinese?
http://forums.miuiandroid.com/forumdisplay.php?4-MIUI-Theming
A lot of the themes in the theme manager have chinese names but they wont change the language in your phone so feel free to download them.

good to know. Too bad I can't get any of the themes to work, even with the latest RG2X.... fudgesicle
If your themes don't work then u need to install the themefolder.zip. that usually fixes the problem.. of and even though the themes are in Chinese on the preveiw most of them aren't when u install them but some stilldo.. goodluck
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
If themes are not working, here are two different fixes:
If you already have a theme folder fix:
1) Open root explorer
2) data -> system ->
3) Delete the "theme" folder
4) recreate a theme folder
5) reboot
6) install theme
If you don't have a theme folder fix:
1) Open root explorer
2) data -> system ->
3) Create a "theme" folder
4) install theme
Thanks

[GUIDE] recover universal search

Hello,
This is my first guide. It's not my work but I thought I'd post it here as many people would find it useful. I found it somewhere in the sprint galaxy s3 forums a while back and I keep using it. It has worked on all the roms I have installed so far.
You will need a copy of the Google search apk with universal search. Here's my copy http://db.tt/Chg3ev9i
You will also need the app Root explorer found here https://play.google.com/store/apps/...utm_medium=organic&utm_term=root+explorer+apk I don't know if there is a free version or if file explorer with root access will work. I use Root explorer and it works. Anyways for the guide:
1. Open up root explorer and navigate to /system/app
2. Mount as R/W
3. Copy googlequicksearchbox_USA.apk and paste it somewhere safe as a backup.
4. Delete googlequicksearchbox_USA.apk from /system/app
5.paste the Google search apk from my dropbox into this folder /system/app and set the permissions to RW-R--R-- (if you don't know what it looks like, check the permissions on any other apk in this folder and make it look the same)
6. Remount folder as R/O
7.exit Root explorer app
8. Go to your settings>application manager>all and scroll down to Google search (not the one with the pic of a search bar. The one with the big "G" ) tap it and tap clear data (if this is not an option, don't worry about it)
9. Go back to Settings>application manager>all and scroll to googleservicesframework.apk, tap on it and tap clear data.
10. Reboot
11. Enjoy your universal search
If you like this guide please hit thanks

Solve this by long press menu at home screen to force search than hit the accept button at the prompt. Search widget should now work. Or just go to your apps and run search app and hit accept.

Thank you so much for this. Made me so happy to have uni search back. F'n Apple and their stupid lawsuits over stuff they stole.
Thanks again and as always...
GOBEARS!
Universal search was keeping me on the LF2 base. While I may need a good reason to come off of LF2 at least now I know I have the option.
Thank you, thank you!
I had been trying an apk that was posted for use on my GTab 8.9, but it never worked on the S3. I consider the $4 for Root Explorer a small price to pay to get this functionality back where it belongs. Kudos!:good:

For those of us on jelly bean (AT&T S3), would this process still be beneficial or does Google Now cover it all?

You can easily tell local search is in Google Now, just search for an app you have in your app drawer using it. This was for ICS when Samsung removed local search.

[How to] The only way to install FlipFonts!! Tutorial!!

As we know, installing flipfonts downloaded from the Samsung settings menu does not work. Until this is corrected this is an alternative way (without root) to do it.
Install this app called "Ifont" from the Google Play Store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kapp.ifont
Open the app after you download it then close it.
Download flipfonts. You can get them from the Google Play Store but you need to have the apk or know where it is at. The best option is to download from xda in this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=894397
Find the flipfont apk's you downloaded with the file explorer of your choice and copy them to root of the ifont folder located in your internal storage. Then click on the flipfont and install it.
Exit the file explorer and go into settings/my device/display/font style and change it to Rosemary. It has to be change to a pre-installed flipfont other than default.
Open the ifont app. Scroll to the Local section. You should see the flipfonts you downloaded. Click on the font you want to install and click set and then OK.
Reboot and bamm!! Your done.
The key is you have to let Ifont set it for you.
Found this on another forum.. just thought I'd share it with you..
That was easy thanks a lot. I can finally use the Sony sketch that i love so much

thx
good
Good find man, I saw another thread someone post asking if anyone found a way to get flip fonts to work!
Definitely going to try this out right now even though I've never used any fonts other then the stock fonts ever on any of my phones going all the way back to the G1 lol.
Edit: I saw an option to reduce font size with IFont if you have root, have you tried to see if it works? The main thing that has always attracted me to AOSP roms is being able to make the text as small as I wanted - with touch wiz the text size is massive for me lol.

Change your fonts without root :)

Sorry if this app has already been mentioned but I just downloaded iFont from the Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kapp.ifont&hl=en
It now works with the Galaxy Note 3 flawlessly and for 80p I upgraded to allow custom fonts to be installed. I now have my SegoeWP installed again and all without root access.

Well yes I think we all know that! but there are only 3 or 4 different ones to choose from built in. This app lets you download a huge amount more.

If you can find the actual .ttf font file in the zip , you extract it to the custom folder (mentioned in the help section of the iFont app) and install it from there. My favourite font (SegoeWP) was extracted and installed this way.
