What is the xda policy on ppl helping out on this situation, lets say i find on xda a guy who will buy/ship it for me (with my money i sent over pay pal),
What are your thouhgts about this, what info (id, numbers) should i ask of him in order to be safe he wont scam me etc,
Any advice is welcome..

I'm not sure if it is appropriate but maybe we can have a marketplace to buy and sell phones and accessories within the xda community?

There already is one...You can't see it if you're not logged in.
I was wanting to make a app kind of like the xda Dev forum app but for reptile forum UK. I have no idea where to start and was wondering if anyone could give me a hand or some guidance?

There is already "Tapatalk"...
In fact, if your board is big enough, you could work with the Tapatalk people on creating a dedicated version.
I believe that's what XDA did.
MOD EDIT... Removed commercial advertising!

Look man, pyramid scheme was the wrong word. I understand there is a difference between MLM's and pyramid schemes. However, the fact remains that XDA won't allow marketing like this. Moreover, you have been incredibly rude in responding to objections. Being in sales myself, I can attest to the frustration you feel when a potential customer puts a wall up like I have, but you will absolutely flounder in sales of you continue to respond to responses the way you have been.

Understandable, but, calling things a scheme or scam etc.etc. before researching a subject or topic just promotes and shows ignorance. This action is offensive and rude as well. If, I was selling things or products it would be different. However, I do not sell anything. All I am doing is offering a opportunity that can change people lives and save them money and lastly lower their bill.
There is no Paying I am not asking for money but, merely informing people. Of a cheaper rate and plan.
Sorry if, you or anyone else are offended by me offering to help them out. Good luck to you in all that you do.

Thought the mods would wake up before I had to get all eloquent on your ass. XDA is the place for curious people to investigate how to get the most from their smartphones, not the place for a series of pyramid scheme hucksters to hump their off brand services. Have fun getting your thread locked. Sigh.

**NOTE TO MODS I'M NOT TRYING TO SELL THIS VIA XDA**
Ok so as most people will know xda market place is closed until further notice or it would be on there for sale. So where would be the best place to sell my s-off one s as its no longer required, is there another site like xda mp?

EBay, Amazon, etc etc...not that hard if you just search

Kinda seems like you're trying to sell it here since you didn't post your question in the Q&A forum. Hoping to get more traffic in general maybe?
Your answer is rootzwiki.com classifieds forum.

Not many people on eBay would know what s-off mean, and how much it would be worth compared to a normal one s

It'd be hard to get much more for it... Rare? Yes. Honestly that useful, worth spending significant extra cash? Not likely

I don't want no extra for it than its value. And to everyone else I'd rather it go to someone who is actually going to make use of the s-off or just wants an s-off device, which is why it's not on amazon or eBay. Hence why I asked if there was anything like xda mp anywhere

I don't see how this will work if you actually buy a phone full price and not on a contract. Because like you stated, if you buy something it's yours.
Interesting

I would understand if the device was leased..but last I checked cell companies don't do that.
If you are paying anywhere between 200 and 600 bucks fit something they will never see again and plan to switch providers but now can't afford a handset then it's bs.

wow in the UK we went the opposite way a couple years back. We totally got rid of the power to lock down devices! It just makes no sense to lock them

To be clear though the law does not outlaw unlocking the phone.
You are still legally able to unlock the device but you need to have the code from the manufacturer or carrier.
It makes it illegal to hack the phone to sim unlock like what is done with the iPhone.
If buy it on contract I can understand it, sort of...
If you buy it retail its not locked in the first place, at least not here. Hell, I dont think even contract phones are locked lol (my blade wasnt).
Americans :silly:
