8107 Update - Reboot Loop - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I tried to apply the 8107 update yesterdayevening (Unlocked Orange Omnia 7 w/dev & interop unlock). It got to step 9 (Rebooting Phone) but at this point it got stuck in a reboot loop (white Samsung logo comes up for a few seconds, disappears and then comes back ad infinitum). I pulled the battery to shut the phone off and then looked around for a solution. The Samsung Device Update Support Tool was suggested so I gave that a shot. It applied it's update then rebooted the device and I'm back to a reboot loop.
Any ideas what I can do next? Is there anything I can try or do I need to take it to a service centre?

try a hard reset...if this not help u must flash a new rom...but first try to load the backup from zune...i dont think u must go to service center...but of course...if the bootloader is bricked u have a problem....

When I press down Camera+VolumeDown+Power to get to the format/hard reset screen, the format screen flashes up briefly and then the phone goes into it's reboot loop again. Any ideas what that means?
I can get the phone into download mode though (Camera+VolumeUp+Insert USB cable). Is there no way for Zune to restore from download mode (a la iTunes and iPhones restore mode) or is my only option now to flash a new rom from download mode?

[Q] Another Omnia 7 Bricked?

Hi. When updating to Mango at part 7 of 9 my phone turned off but after some time it did manage to reload on it's own and had the Mango update but no Samsung firmware so the screen and buttons were dead. Whatever happened had caused it to only load the Samsung boot screen and then keep rebooting as others had happen.
I flashed it as recommended but because of the constant rebooting it cannot finalise the ROM install once it comes out of download mode.
So I'm stuck as to what to try next. Nothing happens when I press vol down/camera/power to do a reset and nothing happens when i press camera after turning on to bring up the connect to a pc option to try the WPSupportToolv2.
Any ideas how to get past this and get a ROM installed or have I broken it to the point it'll need sending off to Samsung?
Cheers
Dakn
EDIT: As an update to this I have flashed using the latest patched version of WP7 Downloader 7.41 and tried using the engineer Mango update and various others. with the latest downloader it does not require a restart - infact I think I got this wrong in the first place.
But I'm still getting the same result of constant reboot on the Samsung boot screen every 2-3 seconds.
I give up.

Can your phone go into recovery ?
If not the title is misleading .
Forever living in my Galaxy Ace using XDA App
Hi,
I tried to update my LG optimus 2x to android 2.3.4 but I forgot to turn "windows
Enabler.exe" ON and "UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe" stuck on upgrade stage at 4% so I just closed "UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe" and unplugged my phone. then I turned it (I exactly followed the instruction for upgrading in website) and phone stuck at "S/W upgrade ....: window. then I downloaded and followed the instruction for flashing the phone but after pushing "flash.bat" it stuck at "nvflash started" command and didn't happen anything after 25 mins so I stopped the window. then I tried recovery (push vol_down then power and release ...) and after opening up "Android recovery utility" I could go up and down on menus but I couldn't select it. I'm really confused what to do and will be really grateful if somebody help me.

Try this, remove the battery and plug the phone into the charger, remember the battery is out of the phone. Now try to boot up. If it does not boot up then unplug the phone and try to boot recovery. If that works then pop the battery back in and boot up. Something like that happened to my G2X.

[Q] Hanging at startup with no download mode access

Hi,
I have a Galaxy S (I900) which I attempted to root yesterday. Stupidly, I used the wrong root kit and when I rebooted I was left hanging on the startup screen with the network logo (orange) flashing.
My boot menu was disabled for some reason but I could however access download mode - which I did. Whilst trying to rectify this I downloaded a couple of kernels that were recommended to fix the problem but to no avail.
Finally, running out of options I downloaded Odin3Execution v1.00 One-Click downloader, connected the phone and clicked start (which was also recommended to me). This completed successfully but when the phone tried to re-boot I was left with a flashing AT&T logo (which is not my carrier) and download mode no longer executes when pressing the buttons. Also, when I plug the charger in the screen just goes black.
I realise that this is my own stupid fault but i'd really appreciate some help on the matter.
(would a USB jig get me back into download mode?)

Samsung Galaxy S II Total OS Fail

Hello, I will try to explain how I got myself into my current situation which is kinda helpless and it ends up with the SGS II Logo on screen.
I rooted my phone - no problem
Flashed an Insecure Kernel - no problem
Flashed - CWM - no problem
Then I tryed to put the Ressurecion ICS mode.
Started CWM mode, wiped all data but for some reason soon afterwards my phone
turned off. When I started it again it always ended up at samsung logo screen :/
I can put it in download mode. I tryed to flash roms, with or without pit files.
When I do so I get this screen like terminal with many signs like "failed to load booth catche" etc, unable to mount, etc. Then I get the option to either reboot,to wipe data catche or factory reset. No matter what I choose I always end up at logo screen. Please,I beg of you help me !!

If you can enter the boot loader i.e. pressing vol+ and vol- together with power on, then just flash a stock ROM from Eternity thread.
Thanks,
I dowloaded one of the stock rom i found and tried to flash it with the ROMUpdateUtility but I got the invalid Vender ID. I will try with another stock ROM before going to HTC for repair.
Try to flash stock Vodafone rom.
Where I can find it?
Did you ever try just reverting the update attempt? Zune automatically creates a backup (more properly, a "restore point") before installing an update. To put the phone in recovery mode, turn it off, then hold the Camera button fully and turn it on. The phone will boot straight to the black&white update screen, which is alo used for recovery. Start the Zune software and connect your phone via USB, and Zune should offer to restore the phone for you. Much less hassle and data loss than a new ROM would be.
Thanks,
Done but Zune give an error saying it has no restore point.
Perhaps I I did the upgrade via Zune as guest.
Here you can find all the Titan ROMS I know ...

Could you paste the name of the ROM you already tried to flash ?
I have tried the following ROMs:

IMG_Eternity_HTC_Europe_1.09.401.02_Radio_16.23.02.09_A_16.24.00.23_Signed_ETERNITY_RELEASE.nbh
IMG_Eternity_HTC_Europe_2.01.401.04_Radio_16.23.03.17_16.27.00.23_Signed_ETERNITY_RELEASE.nbh
Any Help?
