Back Covers

I love the back cover if the infuse, but it just gets too hot. Any third party maybe metal back covers available? Kinda want to get rid of this flimy plastic.

Phone was released a little less than a week ago. their is really not any accessories for it.
maybe with in a month or so. i had the same issue with the atrix. not to many accessories for it and it was a few months old.
hit up ebay you might be able to find something there.

Gets to hot? Lol you should've tried the Atrix. Most horrible phone with heat ever!!

Just wait a bit for the Sedio extended battery. should be at least 3000Ma and will come with a back cover replacement. I am hoping it is soon!

i have the same problem that I also need a new battery/back cover for my infuse, but mine was broken into 3 halves, i've been searching in ebay and in google for a replacement and with no luck :-( hope anyone out there who have any idea where to get one post a reply in this thread

Lol they said they have no plan on doing an extended battery on the Infuse, Bella called them.

I called again today and they still say they have nothing available and nothing planned for a battery cover or battery. Hmm... Any evidence of the above? It's been 3 weeks since you posted the above and still nothing.

Not to be a hater but there is a section just for selling phones & phone related items. I know this will sell quick because i have heard others asking where they can get a backing and i once needed one as well but just trying to give you a heads up cuz more then likely u will get told numberous times that selling is not for this section.

I just called LG today and as a one time courtesy they sent me out a replacement battery cover door, I also found out that they have the battery cover doors on sale this week and purchased an xtra for 10.35 shipping included.

My wife dropped hers jogging. Went to my local store and they opened new G2x and gave me the cover and battery. It pays to have a nice working relationship with a local store.

I just called LG and ordered one. They state that the system had a glitch yesterday and that the price of $10.35 was incorrect. The real price is $21.

Screen replacement

Hello xda community!
With an unfortunate drop from my high up bed, my g2x's screen cracked.
Thankfully the entire screen still works just fine.
My question is, does anyone know where I should go to have my screen replaced? Or if anyone knows a good way to replace the screen?
Any help and suggestions will be appreciated!

I have replaced a few smartphone digitizers now and it is not that hard. Just watch a youtube video and get the right tools on amazon for cheap. I would say the skill level is 6/10.
or you could pay double that for a company to do it for you and be without a phone for a week or two...

I have a dugutuzer for sale. Brand new. Its not hard at all. Took me 20 minutes. Pm me if you want it. Ill even send you the tools needed.

In my area, if you look at Craigslist, there are so many people that offer cellphone repair services. Try Craigslist.

Amazon sells a replacement kit for about 60 dollars it has the tools and screen. I did it in under 20 min.
Just search Amazon buddy and then search YouTube for a video on how to take it apary

The only problem I have with doing it myself, is that I have tried replacing the screen on my old mt3g slide and ended up screwing up my phone, and had to throw it away.
After that, I don't feel safe doing it.

Thankfully I found this thread and went the Amazon route as well - $54 and about 30 mins of prying a few stubborn glass shards off the frame later my g2x is working flawlessly.
I'd even go so far as to say this new digitizer is a little more responsive than the original one!

Haha I know how you feel with the mt3g slide. That one is impossible because one of the slidescrews got stripped for me. Thankfully I had drill bits handy. I just replaced my aunts g2x last Monday and it is easy if you buy the digitizer with the bezel, that way you don't have to worry about prying the glass. Difficulty is like 5/10. All you have to do is take your time. If a 17 y/o can do it, so can you

I just bought one of these for about 23 dollars same seller. I replaced it but the digitizer does not work as good as the original. It is not as accurate to the touch and hardly works at all with a screen protector on it. If I had to do it over I would get the one mounted to the frame. It worked like the original.

I called my local kiosk to ask them. It will be in stock next week and whole body is 35 bucks.

Are there any pics of what it looks like?

I ordered the full carbon fiber body w/ screen protector for 29 bucks + 4 bucks for shipping. It has already been sent to me. Should get it by friday. Its an additional 5 bucks to have it installed at a Kiosk. Couldnt wait til next thursday. They have limited quantaties being shipped as well. When i have it put on, ill put up pics.

Got mine put on today at a kiosk in texas. It was $20 + tax for the front screen only. I didn't get anything else since I have the case mate tough case.
So far it is freaking awesome. You don't notice it at all by touching it and it covers 97% of the screen so the case will cover the rest.
Best $20 I have ever spent for a phone. And the warranty policy is fantastic since the mall its at is 10 min away

Look what showed up at my work today.
It came directly from HTC for specific reps who won phones from HTC in April. I'd imagine they are releasing them very shortly since we received them as prizes today. Mine should be here in a few days and I'll check software versions to see if there are any differences.

Well when i had talked to one of the higher ups at HTC in March, he said they planned on releasing the Black version at launch, but since the coating had the chipping issues they decided to delay it till they fixed it.
Hopefully this was the actual reason, and we don't have any chipping issues on these phones. I'll post some more pictures tomorrow or day after.

this sucks if I woulda known T-Mobile was gettin this color I woulda waited..I might just go ahead and swap my blue housing for black now..I bought my phone used and its got a dent on the bottom right..is the chipping on the black housing really bad?
