Hi to everybody.
First : my Android skillz are rly low, so i hope you dont kill me about the following questions
Minutes ago i've talked to sony customer service, and that good man told me to ask on this forum because they cant help me directly.
I've bought a used Arc S with installed doomkernel.
The phone is now rly slow, are laggin, freezes and more.
Apps like angry bird are lagging too.
Thats not normal with 1.4 Ghz CPU and 512MB ram.
I think the previous owner make something wrong or anything else.
( i dont use so much other apps in the background, and reset to factory settings are unhelpful too )
So my question is :
how can i flash that phone to the normal stock rom & stock kernel ?
Can somebody tell me which tools i need to flash my phone back ?
Pls remember .. i have rly low android skillz, so would be great if you used not so hard vocabulary

Sorry 'bout the n00b question - but are there any of the custom ROM's out there which can be used for the Samsung Spica? I think my Spica is so darn slow, so really want to spice it up a little.
Just come off a SE Xperia X1, and used to flash it every other day - which I kinda miss on my Android device.
So - how is my outlook here?

Not going to get much help here. After all this is a forum for HTC devices. AFAIK there is'nt a lot of custom ROm development for the spica apart from Leshak's ROM. you could google it.

1. Which of these is the PDA or CSC etc
2. what should i do..i have jc2....I cant use spica jc3.ops
3.all i want is to root my phone and use app2sd since my phone memory is always full.
I cant use LESHAKS........... lk2 mod without being on lk mod i guess...also this firmware is what i got here in dubai. please help me root my phone...I am so confused with this firmware. only after i flash a good european firmware and root it can i use custom roms right?
AFAIK, the only stable and popular ROM, is the one from Leshack.... lets hope cyanogen releases something... i think both can take profit of each other's work and release something wonderful (froyo + multitouch + overclock + 3D driver.... etc...)
Was wondering if the kernal [Ray 4.0.2.A.0 overclock Rel: V0.1 by hartej] would work with my phone model. The phone came from SE carrier unlocked & I rooted it so thats all thats bern done so far...

WOW....152 views now and buried in 3 pages of posts now... im no expert by any means so i couldnt make 10 post to help anyone right now. Id be lucky to make 10 post in 6 months. Purchased NOTE yesterday here in India & today while playing Crayon Physics it gets hot around cam area after playing for abt 10mins.. IS THIS NORMAL ?? Is this gonna happen with every game i play in future ??

So I bought this new phone from (what I think) is a new company, O+ (O plus, whatever).
I've tried lots of possible methods to root their Oplus 8.7 Android phone but alas, that's not happening.
I'm a bit inexperienced when it comes to ROM and builds, etc, but if it would be any help, here are the details that I can find when I checked Settings > About Phone.
System updates: Oplus_A100ALPS.GB2.MP.V2
Model number: O+_8.7_Android
Android Version: 2.3.6
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7
Build number: Oplus_A100ALPS.GB2.MP.V2

The farthest I have gone to "semi-rooting" it is to change the default installation of apps and games to directly go to the SD. This phone has really bad internal memory size. Anyway, let me know if you discover a way to root this. Cheers

how can i change the default installation of apps and games to sd card. I also have this phone and the only problem that i have is the size of the internal memory. pls teach me how to do the semi rooting.. tnx..

yep, have the same phone with same problems as with you guys.. though i found a different way to boot up the phone towards its "factory s
et-up" : turn off your phone, then after a while, simultaneously press volume down key and power button, it should bring you to the set-up i mentioned..im quite hesitant to tweak at the settings for it might break my phone, though i never found the "download" setting which ive seen in other phones has that setup which you could upload certain files in relation to rooting the phone.. Again i turned off the phone, this time i pressed volume key up and power button, and the Triangle sign with the exclamation point inside it (most known as the warning sign) with the android mascot beside the warning sign appearing on the screen, may be this leads to that "rooting" enigma we have.. hope this helps, im not a hacker but hope this leads to something.. keep me posted you guys.. thanks

there's this new android phone, made from usa, its O PLUS, i have the 8.7 android. Im too hesitatnt to tweak my phone.. could any of you sirs help us in rooting this phone? it costs around $120, it has a 1GHz processor, system version Oplus_A100ALPS.GB2.MP.V2, runs in 2.3.6 Android, 2.6.35.7 Kernel, custom build 120706_1607.. Im only new to this and really am relying on what i read on the forums, hopefully someone helps.. Thank you..

I have the xperia tipo with the Free Xperia Project tapioca FXP 246 and i want to know if there is a newer Kernel for my device, i'm no expert but i've flashed many phones, some samsungs,2 or 3 xperias and an LG...so i can handle some tools...
I Don't want to overclock my Tipo, i want to know if there is a way to avoid the heavy lag, FXP is stable for my, but it lags a lot sometimes, like when you want to answer a call and it hangs a lil' bit...

cyanogen mod version: 10-20131127 unofficial tapioca ss
Also i use CleanMaster and move some apps to the SD.... Xperia Tipo doesn't have much problems with the app storage, i have a lot of free space, but it's not as fast as i need it...
And finally, is there another good app for the managing calls?...

I flashed 3.0.8 , i'm going to give it a day to check if the phone works OK, also i'm going to OC it to 1.0 ghz which is the stock speed of the CPU , but somehow Sony underclocked it..
