Thanks, I see that, you too.
I had checked to make sure no-one else had posted it just before I uploaded mine. I think as I was writing the post you posted yours haha. All good, nothing wrong with multiple sources I suppose.

Nice thanks for the initiative. Anyway that you could share the ota files? That'd be great.

I've been poking around the new update. Thus far I've noticed these APK changes:
QXDM2SD.apk - com.htc.android.qxdm2sd
Not exactly sure what this is. Assuming something about the SD card?
Smith.apk - com.android.smith
New addition; unsure of purpose; likely relates to DMClient.apk (com.smithmicro.DM)?
Phonesky.apk - com.android.vending
Replaces Vending.apk, this is the new market.
Those are the significant changes I've noticed in the system/app directory. Other significant changes to take note are the new radios, new kernel, and the removal of CIQ.

Thanks for the post will download when I get home. I didn't see the new radios or did I overlook them?

I will not be releasing the new radios myself for flashing. I'm going to leave that up to Calkulin who usually takes care of that in his long running thread here.
Let me know how it goes!

Smith.apk is an HTC logging apk, not 100% but I believe QXM2SD may be related. Looks like smith has ability to move logs to sd. FYI Smith is safe to remove, typing this in ubuntu tethered through my senseless 4.67.651.3 evo. Will report back on ability to remove QXDM2SD safely.

Thanks
Glad you and Brad are already on the job, lol. This is great. I am gonna grab this as soon as I get off work. New 2.3.5 kernel?! Hell yeah!! I am wondering how the new radio is working. Has anyone tested 4G or data yet with this to see if they saw any improvements between new kernel and radio combo?

Anyone notice any improvement with the camera?

hey misery, with the 3 apk's that will not deodex, is your market showing after you flash? mine didn't as i am testing what i have just uploaded for deodex'ed.
thanks

downloaded ...
removed rosie, mms, mail, calc, browser, flikr and a few other apps from system/apps using root explorer - moved/installed go launcher, kaiten mail, go sms, wifitether, maxthon and some others.
Tried to install the quick settings zip and extended power controls - - neither work.
Will try out the existing kernel for a few days before trying something different.

Do we now have native video chat for GTalk?

hey bud, as far as mine, they did not, so i kind of compromised without sacrificing the stock nature of the rom and replaced the apk's with the latest (4.54) apk's. seems to be working fine.
i will flash yours tonight and check it out
thanks again man.

No the market does not work, and if you try and download the market.apk, it force closes upon installation.

Well, all gingerbread 2.3.4 and up have it, so since this is 2.3.5, it should...but I haven't checked it out yet.

GTalk is now confirmed to NOT have native video chat in this latest release. Sorry folks. In theory you could head over to the 3D forum and grab their GTalk apk that does support it. I'm not sure if that's been tested yet.
Thanks for the info joetowel!

[ROM] Tha Boss Rom V.3 - Froyo,Signed,Deodexed,BossMode,Scripts

This is just a basic rom for the user that wants that stock feel but wants some power out of it. There will be more to come from this rom series, it’s only the beginning.
V.1
-removed bloatware
-removed boot sound
-improved CPU Scales (Much snappier) – Thanks to BuglessPete
-Signed - Thanks to Chocmatic
V.2
Deodexed - Thanks to BuglessPete for the guide
Zipaligned all APKs
Signed all APKs
Custom bootsound and animation
added working wifi tether apk
V.3
Added SpareParts.apk
Added New SuperUser.apk
Added Script to block most ads in Apps and Browser
BossMode (Beta) - Thanks to BuglessPete
About BossMode:
Typing "BossMode" into adb shell or a terminal emulator will give access to and allow you to edit many parts of the system using any file manager.
For example, if you wish to delete system apps you can simply run "godmode", open Astro File Manager, long press the app, and delete it (don't forget to back it up first!). Also, if you wish to edit (using Astro) the build.prop, sysctl.conf, or install-recovery.sh files "BossMode" will allow you to do so. In short, "BossMode" can turn Astro File Manager into Root Explorer.Remember this is a beta so it might have a bug or two but nothing extreme. It will be out of beta next release.
-Just a side note V.4 will be out next weekend and I plan to make this rom the best rom out. Just keep your eyes peeled and keep being a boss = )

I’m surprised know one has tried Garminfone and incorporated it into a build. I love having GPS on my phone but the Garminfone has the maps preloaded so even if you loss your cell signal you still have GPS and maps on the phone. Just an idea

[ROM-DEV] HTC Sense Android 2.2.1 V8.5 Deodexed, WiFi:GPS:VVM Updated 11/20

Here is a new SenseFroyo rom for everyone from TEAM FUSPRINT.
Please take the time to read the entire post so as not to waste our time answering stupid questions. Thanks Team FUSPRINT
Ok every one this has all patches includes and has been majorly tweaked to perform as close to perfect as possible at this point. No sense resets, not bogging down while on the internet (changes to buffering) more in line with our phones.
This rom is using a custom kernel from Decadence @ 691 so run this kernel first to see what you think, i truely runs great.
Also if you want tkirtons A2SD just donwload from his thread and follow his directions for install the kernel already supports it.
MMS will only recieve and send if wifi is disabled this is due to the hack required to make it work in the first place.
Directions
You Must do a full wipe!!! If you dont, dont even post about a problem
Install the rom
do your first boot and logins
If you want Sprint VVM working then copy a backup copy of a working VVM from - data/data/ com.coremobility.app.vnotes on the old rom to data/data/com.coremobility.app.vnotes.
Then reboot. now VVM will be fully funtional.
then set your MMS follow this be FdxRider
"Need help testing this workaround for mms fix. All credit for the Mmszap.apk goes to hyriand over at htcpedia.com forums for the app,and whomever created the mms-signed.zip (if anybody kows pm me I'll add they're name).
Download both files to your sdcard, from recovery(NANDROID FIRST) then flash the signed zip and reboot.
Go to >menu>settings>applications>Unknown sources and check the box for "installation of non-market apps"
Next from a file manager install the .apk or push it to system/app if you prefer.
Next Open Mmszap>uncheck the box next to "Automatically copy active APN settings
Next delete the http://mms.orange.co/uk from the MMSC box and add this: http://mms.sprintpcs.com leave the password and username blank then delete everything out of MMS Proxy and also the MMS Port Click the back button or hit Home and it will save the settings reboot then open Mmszap again to check if your settings stuck.
mms-sign.zip
MmsZap-2.0.apk
ROM T-FUS._SenseFroyo_Heroc_V8.5.zip
What it is:
HTC Sense running on Android 2.2.1
What works:
Calls
3G
SMS/MMS (160 char limit) (Sprint MMS sizes 500k, 2Meg, and 5 megs.)
Bluetooth (does pair and connect without issue just no audio as of yet)
Accelerometer
270/90 degree rotation
Keypad leds
Light sensor
Network location/Agps
USB tether
LiveWallpaper from the Market
All HTC Sense apps/widgets
All Google Apps
WiFi
GPS
Adhoc Wifi Networks
Notification Leds
Flash 10.1 lite
Desire style lock screen
Reboot added to OS
Newest Sprint VVM
Es File explorer
and more
What does not work:
Camera (Blaack screen)
Bluetooth Audio (does pair and connect without issue just no audio as of yet)
Mobile Network settings will fc (happens in every gsm sense rom ported to cdma)
Not all Live Wallpapers will work well

[APP] Google Talk from 2.3.4 extracted: NOT WORKING, Help Needed!

Hi everyone,
I downloaded the extracted .apk from latest Google Android release 2.3.4
The .apk is atached below.
I have had no success in installing the app on my 2.3.3 ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S. I tried pushing it to /system/app via Root Explorer, but once you try to install package it just doesn't install by saying "Aplication not installed".
Im no dev or whatsoever,so I would encourage anyone who could help to make it work on 2.3.3, Google stated in Google Mobile Blog that Google Talk with Video Chat will be for 2.3+ devices, so it "should" work on 2.3.3.
Any help is appreciated! Share your thoughts!
Try pushing it into system/app and then change permissions. Reboot and post result.

That was my first thought too, but after downloading the entire update it looks like that might not be the case. There aren't a ton of changes in there, and only two updated system apps. One of which is gtalk, the other is an nfc app(for supported devices obviously). I haven't looked through anything else yet(I'm slacking off enough at work as it is), but it would appear the changes are minimal.
Edit: found a new libtalk_ini.so file in /system/lib/
That may help? Anybody have time to try?
I really wish I knew how to do this stuff. I would love to give it a try but I'm so lost! Time to do some reading! LOL
The manifest for this apk says the target and minimum sdk version is 10, which is 2.3.3....so there's a good chance that after some deodexing and supporting files this will work no problemo
That's the key. It should work on 2.3+ as stated by Google, so I think i'ts up to deodexing and adding the proper files. Sure someone experienced can do it

Generally, yes.
I got it to run, but I can't tell how to start a video chat. I pushed the apk, and odex file to the system/app directory and the jnk.so file to the system lib directory. Ran Talk and it opened fine...
HTC Hero with Cyanogen 7.0.2
Btw, its very possibly its simply running the standard install of Talk.apk instead of Talk2.apk... I'll try removing the Talk.apk...
-- Confirmed. I removed the Talk.apk from the system/app/ folder... lost my Talk icon in the launcher. Rebooting; maybe it will showup after reboot.
-- Ok, now I'm not completely convinced that you can get rid of Talk.apk when you push Talk2.apk. They both may have to be there.

[Theme] Black Market 3.0.27!! Updated 7/20

This is my inverted version of the latest market. It is NOT the pirate app!!Thanks to B-boy and a guy on here that was able to find one $*@#[email protected] of a smali edit!
This is the latest version, 3.0.27... Just got it today.....
Instructions:
First, verify that you DO NOT have a vending app in \data\app!!!!! If you do this will not install!!! You will need to uninstall updates before flashing my zip... Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>"ALL" tab>Market>Uninstall Upates
Next, download the file for your phone.. I have verified the first to work for the D1 and the Fascinate. And the Thunderbolt zip has also been verified. The others are blank zips for that particular phone.. if they work for you, PLEASE post so that I can verify that they work....
Once downloaded, move the zip to the root of your SD card and flash in recovery, Enjoy!!!!
Bug?? Some people have found that this will not install on CM7 based ROMs, but it works for others that are running the same ROM so???
And always make a backup first!!!!
http://bit.ly/BlackMarket3027r1 (Verified on D1 & Fascinate)
http://bit.ly/TBBlackMarket3027r1 (Verified on Thunderbolt)
Link removed, zip needs to be fixed.. be back soon.. (DX.. waiting for verification)
http://bit.ly/DINCBlackMarket3027r1 (Verified working)
Flashes but no changes. Cm7 glacier
Check to make sure you don't have a version in /data/app. If you do you will need to uninstall updates for the market then flash the zip...

i thought this was the BLACKMARKET as in the illegal app downloading market lol
I don't understand, which database is this using? Applanet is still down as far as I know.
Its not illegal apps. Its just the market blacked out, do you people read?
You may want to change the name of the thread to "Black Market Theme"
I thought this was an alternative market to download pirated apps
Other link? Doesn't download. Any chance to.work on galaxy s2?
Do to confusion the OP title has been changed. And just so its said, this is NOT the pirate app. This is just a theme for the new market!

[Beta][Updated 8/22/12!] Google Now for the Atrix 2 (With Voice Search!!)!!!!

Warning: This is only for users who are DEODXED ( ie. Running SCV7) AND on ICS!
Good day to All!!
I can confirm that Google Now works on the Atrix 2!!!
Give a thanks to seedoubleyou for finding the original zip from the 300+ page google now port thread!

Bloatware Remover!
This is HIGHLY recommend to flash before installing Google Now. This zip will free up a lot of system space to make more room for the google now installation avoiding many errors.
This will MOVE the following apps to /data/app
Google Plus
Gmail
Facebook
Flashplayer
Warning: You will loose any app data associated with these apps!

Yeah, i'm still fighting only having 14MB free on my /system partition. Are you guys (that got it working) running a deodexed ROM or did you do something else to get more space in there?

I'm on SCV7 so its deodexed. So that gives me some extra space.

then there is the answer to the riddle... no full Google Now for me.. unless you have SCV7
This is a really great news then, and i wish the FINAL ICS coming soon.....
Appreciate for all the hard works of devs, thank you.

Good day to All!!
I can confirm (at least on my phone) that Google Now works!! I will not be posting any links until I get this approved by our devs as I've heard some phones don't have enough room in the system partition to install all the lib files. But after fiddling around with it for an hour I got it to work voice search and all. Once I get this approved I will (try to) make a full guide to get this on your phones!!

*Update 8/2/12*
Alright, now that I have approval of the devs, I will ATTEMPT to make a flashable zip. All you will have to do is boot into bootmenu and flash to get google now! This might take a couple of days as I'm relativly new to creating zips and such. IF I'm not able to make a working zip I will do my BEST to make a comprehensive guide on how to install it manually!

I got it to instal OK. as long as you follow the directions it's not too bad.
Mine is kinda laggy though. Is yours?

It can be a little buggy at times, but it works fine 90% of the time.

Existing flashable zip: http://www.mediafire.com/?p8avdan0jbjacke
I haven't tried it yet
EDIT: CONFIRMED WORKING , booted into custom recovery, flashed, rebooted...
no need to work on this one dude...its already done...
just make sure you're using SCV7 , not stock ICS as you most likely will not have enough room to install..

Again, you may want to increase the n00b filter and specify only for SCV7 users too... I don't know if my original ICS build was a fluke, but there certainly was more space in /system after I flashed to SCV7.
Does the google now voice search have a offline voice recognition language pack? I can´t seem to download any language pack like the jelly bean users can...and does anybody know what languages the offline recognition works with?
Has anyone else lost ability of speech to text? Google now world with speech but i can no longer have speech to text in my texting.
Edit: working again. Post #2653 from original thread, has help that worked for me. Voice now working for all apps.
Can you use it to open links in the browser?
Opening links is kind of hit and miss sometimes...
Only problem I'm experiencing is sometimes Google Now won't speak back but it shows the correct answers. Any fix?
