Hi!
I installed MIUI firmware, everything works well but I can`t enable data transfer via 2g/3g. APN settings is right, because before flashing it was working pretty well. I had same problem with some Cyanogen mods too. I`m turning on data transfer but there is no icon of 2g/3g and no internet in browser.
I`m searching for this problem for a several days, but there is no result.
How to fix this??

and everything works so well except for the Internet.
I have Wi-Fi at home, but when I went to school today, i couldn't go on my Internet help me please? how do i get the Internet working? I have the data plan too :/

I have the same problem. I live in the Netherlands with Tmobile as my carrier, full data plan etcetera.
I installed android 2.2 my wifi works, my internet doesnt. It says 'connected', it even shows the right icons in the taskbar, but no internet.
I tried erasing my apn settings and resetting them and I tried factory settings but to no avail. I ringed Tmobile about it and (as was to be expected) they couldnt help since they suggested the above.
Help would be immensely appreciated.

First of all, make sure you're not set to a static IP (which i assume you're not).
You might also want to check a different kernel. I'm not familiar with the kernel used in your build so i couldn't tell you what to expect - but there are 2 kernels running for the HD2 (hastarin's and mdj's). you can try to use them and see if it helps. the older builds had problems with ppp which are now (more or less) fixed.
read the instructions on how to replace the kernel and let me know if you run into any problems.

While i do not share the problem of no internet access, the connection drops off regularly. Why, but more practival how do I fix it?
I can often see the signal switching from 2G to 3G to HSDPA, perhaps this has someting to do with the connection going dead. Is there a way to keep the signal fixed on 3G? Like there is an option to only maintain 2G connections.
When i go to Settings and disable + enable internet access it works fine. Sometimes the connection goes dead every five minutes, sometimes rarely.
Facts: HTC HD2 WinMobile 6.5, Android 2.3 via SD card method.
Unlimited data plan.

For no apparent reason, my Trophy no longer has internet via Verizon. I do not have HTC Connection installed. USB and wifi work, but getting the 80072FA8 error in outlook, and page not found in IE. 3G indicator gone from title bar. Did *228, popped battery, changed time zone, everything I can think of, including calling verizon to make sure the data connection was still active... Zune still works, but I can't get the 4.8 and backup util to work together...
I would hope there is a way to reset the radio? other than resetting the phone..
Or is there another backup util besides the v1.9 that will work with 4.8/mango?
UPDATE: I backed up using this tool, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346276, and then reset the phone.. Internet was back.. restored, and the problem was restored as well..
is there a way to reset the internet connection? or manually rebuild the APN? It's like it doesn't know the cellular nic exists... UGH

I installed MAGLDR_CWR_5.0.2.6_flash_5_200_5, and UrDroid_Better_Data_Connection_Files, and nothing..
I have signal, phone, sms work but data connection not..
So, if anyone have idea how to fix this, please write..

were the proper APN's for your carrier properly inputted?
I am new in all this story, a didnt do that..
So, how to do that? i hope that is a problem..
I fix connection, it was problem with my operator ,
but, i can use it only on browser phone aps, try to connect and quit..
I can use mail, android market, weather..
And, btw, no apn i select, if do that, i have no connection at all..
I just updated my Atrix 2 to the official OTA ICS 4.0.4 and after it took all day for my system to catch up with the new OS, My data is not working. No internet connective, UNless I'm on wifi. I have never had a problem before until I updated. I use Easy Batter Saver (app) and I reset the mobile network. That didn't work. I tried enabling data through the settings. That DID NOT WORK. I went to the settings --> about phone --> status and the only irregularities I noticed were
Mobile Network State- Disconnected
Sim ID- Not Available

Any Ideas?

It took a while to figure it out but this was the answer if anyone else is having the problem, It seems that the APN were deleted and the one that remained on mine after the update did not work for data connectivity. This is it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1576199
I used the ATT phone and it worked fine and if you cannot receive MMS make sure to use both of them.

ICS data Lost
i lost the data connecion suddendly one day ago, this was working good. i restarted in recovery mode and did a wipe data/cache then add the apn's and now is workng again.
same here,i can not connect to 3G mobile data unless i change to airplane mode (after enabling mobile data and change to 3G network) and then to air plane mode to off.
or to restarting mobile after enabling mobile data and change to 3G network.
i tried 4 ICS radio images,but the same issue !!
i tried stock GB rom, same issue,but i tried another provider SIM with no issues, so , this was related to my provider network.
Hi all,
I'm using Paranoid Android 4.2 beta4 and I can't connect to mobile data network. I can make calls, but no internet connection. If it matters my signal bar is orange. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? With official ROM I had network connection.
I had a similar problem on PA, but mine was more of an intermittent issue. Check your APN settings, if they're right delete them and readd them, disable mobile data then re-enable. If no good possibly a ROM issue.
Thanks for the answer. I've already did it, and didn't help. So maybe I'll try another ROM.
