Hey guys I have a problem with skype video calls. After about 1 minute my outgoing video turns green with like 5 small boxes on top, this only happens with the front camera. Whenever i use the back camera the video is fine, has anybody else had this problem? If so how did you fix it. I am using the latest version of skype I downloaded from the android market. The problem with oovoo is that video does not work on my end at all, and the option to toggle camera is greyed out. I cant even take a picture for my profile. I am using the latest version of oovoo downloade from android market. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

What specific version of skype are you using? Is it the version ending with 160?
How about oovoo?

yes it is the skype version ending in 160 and the oovoo version is 1.2.2.648
Anybody getting the green screen when video chatting on Skype?
To be honest, you're way ahead of me. Video Skype is non functional on my g2x.

Sorry to hear that, I'm running stock Rom with latest Skype version if that helps. The g2x is supposed to be supported by oovoo but it can't even detect any of my cams. I'm sure someone has to have it working.
I hope someone has it working! I'm stuck using Qik for video communication with family. Kinda annoying asking others do download Qik for my sake.
My skype is working okay. So as gtalk and ym video. I use ffc with bfc toggle. Havent tested oovoo yet, dont have anyone to test with.

Jose makalolot, do you get the green screen? I get it and I change back and forth between front and back cameras but it messes up again after a couple of seconds.

Nope. I just had mobile to pc video few moments ago for more than 20 mins. Only iasue I got was the hardtime taking the screenshot.

My mix is stock based.
Rooting is a risk, it's a decision you have to make...
If you decide to root and wanna try my new mix, just give me a pm and ill give you a link. The link in my sig hasn't been updated yet.

Mine splits into 12 screens its 4 screens horizontally by 3 screens vertically, the top row of 4 being normal colored and the bottom 2 rows being all green.

thanks jose I'll give it a shot, I tried weapon g2x and I could not send or receive a video image in skype. Also tried asop rom and the same thing happened, could not send or receive a video image in skype.
Ok so I just put MIUI onto my phone and I love it however I have a question I'm hoping someone might have an answer for.
When using the camera/ camcorder in landscape mode the pictures/videos save in portrait mode. Is this a common issue with ROMs for this phone maybe due to a porting issue and is there any fix that I can do? I tried a few apps but that didn't change anything either. Is my only option a return to stock?!
Btw this normally wouldn't be an issue but I just got my tickets for Armin and want some good videos.

I myself had same issue. Went in the gallery and click on the picture/video then there is a option I believe its the 3rd option on top and could rotate the image. It saved that way too. Hope that helps

YouTube and built in player doesn't work allot the audio plays but not the video does anyone else have this problem. And know how to fix it.
I am having the same issue. The only work around is to do a battery pull... and sometimes that doesn’t work either. I’ve tried factory resets, and they seem to work, but then it starts again. My issue is the video freezes but the audio is ok.
I hope there is a fix for this soon.
Seems to be persistent among all phones from reading the comments on the android Market. By the way try clicking and unclicking the hd button when you go into portrait.

Might not be related but I had this same issuse before. Turned out netflix was the culprit. After watching netflix I could no longer watch any hq videos until the phone is restarted.

anyone get a problem on the youtube app in the search//browse screen, you click on the thumbnail to watch a video...hit back to go back to the browse screen...and you can't pick a new video to watch?
after a while (dunno what triggers it) but i'd be able to again. but there's a weird period where you can't click on any of the videos. scroll works, and all the other controls work. i just can't click on anther video.

I stopped even using the Youtube app and just started using the desktop site on the tablet.
Sad to say but it's a far more enjoyable experience.
Agreed also after watching a video I can't type in the search until I go back to the home screen...

yeah i've read that on other forums, apparently its not an issue just for the tf but other android devices. some were saying it was an issue with youtube.
that problem has happened a few times already. only choice is to wait and see.
Just wondering if anyone has tried Tango on their phone? I can see people but they say I freeze within seconds of picking up...

Strangely, it works fine over 3G but as soon as I enable WiFi people can no longer see me!
You have a good wifi signal I assume? Try resetting your router.
