[Q] brick phone (i think) - Samsung Infuse 4G

Hi all,
i have Rogers phone with stock AT&T ROM 2.3.6 not rooted phone.
UCKK3
in general the phone is working nice no issues, but i wanted to root my phone but here is the issues
SuperOneClick as all you know for know is not working so it's not an option right now
flash: when i'm trying to load into download mode i get different download mode from what i had before
Blue text
Android system recovery <3e>
tried to flash using this method i get:
E:signature verification failed
i google it, tried to fix it using root explorer but i need my phone to be rooted in order to fix it so not an option right now as well
Odin: when the phone is working Odin recognized my phone but i can't do any flash, when i'm in download mode Odin is not recognized my phone and i have drivers installed on my computer, so this method is also not good.
i wanted to restore my phone to Rogers ROM but i don't have the way to flash it to my phone...
so i'm not sure what status is my phone, even that it's working good no issues but just knowing it's brick need to fix...
please help...
thanks

Uninstall samsung driver, computer reboot and install driver again.
Change USB connection.

With the Kernel, how and what to choose there is 6 of them, how do i know what to choose

Recovery is not the same as download mode. Turn the phone off, unplug the USB cable, then hold down both volume buttons and plug in the USB cable while holding them. Do not touch the power button.

Your best bet is to try to reboot a few times. Then if all else fails you may have to sbf your phone.

Odin to a froyo rom that has bootloaders. Try kc1 by raver

thank you for the quick response...i tried kc1 and kd1...it wont flash...also, my phone does not show up in odin in the com port for some reason...dont even know how it was able to repartition.
Un install the drivers. Reboot. Install the drivers from the bible. Plug the phone into a different usb port and see if it reads. Make sure you are in download mode

You will live if you can get into Download Mode.

No Root

Hello All: I am heping my daughter put a custom ROM on her sidekick but I am really stuck in step 1. Shemessed it up and I did the ODIN recovery method to restore it back to usable. Now I am trying to use superoneclick to root it...I put the drivers on like 4 times and I have triple checked that there is USB debugging turned on. Plugged in the phone, launched surperoneclick 2.2 and click root. The program gives me " killing ADB server" then "starting ADB server" and then nothing...
Its not rooted, but nothing else is happening. Any guesses as to what I did wrong. Thanks in advance!
What your going to want to do is ODIN to KG2 , there are thread's in this section to help you . Once you do that reboot your PC & phone then enable usb-debugging then open up superOneClick & select psneutar exploit then it'l do it for you .

kj2 no longer exists
Anyone have kj2 odin tar file that I can use. The link on the dev page takes you to a dead link.
http://www.multiupload.com/0JGFMKW8CQ
enjoy , just uploaded it , it include's updated superoneclick for root also .
Sorry to be a pest
except the file I really need is kj2.tar.md5 or kj2.tar I have all the other compoenents.
Go get Kies from Samsung and update your device yourself. After that, root your phone.
Use Google to solve the where and how questions.
That saves us all time and trouble.
GPM Odin to KG2 then root & cwm then flash a rom .

good
Downgrade SuperOneClick
I had the same problem, and I fixed it by using an older version of SuperOneClick, It also made it so that clockwork recovery couldn't recognize the file system, and to fix that I just booted into the forced (red) mode of clockwork and it all worked from there.

Thanks i am currently looking at that but i cant connect to usb either because my phone is messed up and my laptop wont recognize it.
I can boot into the OS , like i can use the phone normally but its kind of messed up , shuts off randomly , gets stuck , makes horrible beeping noise etc etc.
So i just want this all cleared up and install a new fresh ROM
Please help
Well try to reinstall kies and all! Try to remove the sd card and inserting it to your computer trough a sd reader and put a stock rom on it, go in to fastboot (if your phone have it) then flash trough fastboot. Your phone can be saved, don't worry.

There is something really wrong with the usb settings , ive installed/uninstalled Kies several times , installed/reinstalled USB drivers several times but no luck.
I have rom manager and when i choose another rom to install it reboots the phone to get into clockwork recovery mode but instead of going to recovery my phone gets stuck on the Galaxy S start up screen
So
- No computer access (cant use odin)
- No recovery

One heck of a sentence you had there!

phone is not being recognised by the pc so how can i use heimdall
So can you not get into download mode?
I can get into the download mode but when I connect the phone there is no response from the computer
I've been trying to get people here to download mobile Odin lite and run it...send their file to chainfire so our device could get the support for it but....I guess they just don't understand what we are missing out on.
I've sent him what was asked for but if others wont jump in and do their part....I give up.
All he asks for is a .pit,a kernal, and the mobileodin.txt that is generated from the mobile Odin program
I think you need to connect your phone in download mode go into device manager and delete all the drivers under the USB section and try these steps
TwitchyEye said:
1. Go here and download heimdall suite.
https://github.com/Benjamin-Dobell/Heimdall/downloads
2. Extract and open drivers folder.
3. Connect your phone in download mode.
4. Run zadig and click show all devices, your phone should then show up in the list.
5. Click install drivers, it should say drivers successfully installed.
6. Try running the heimdall one-click of your choice.
7. Go back to step 3 and flash it again this time with bootloaders.
If it still fails, uninstall whatever USB drivers you have (one guy says he had to uninstall all of them, usually just the phone will do) reboot the pc and try again.
Actually you should go ahead and do this last thing first.
Godspeed

No its in magda623 thread in general where he claims it works on his phone .
Its basically Odin on your phone so you can flash back to stock for what ever reason....whether returning back to bml from mtd or a soft brick etc. Without having to hook up to your computer.
Lol no it won't brick you it simply creates a txt file that you send to chain fire so he can see what he needs to do to make our device compatable.
