pls help me.. im a newbie here
I have MIUI 2.4.6 on my Galaxy SL 9003, when i tried to use the DSP manager it force closes especially when i tried to insert my headphone
all settings are working great except the DSP manager
I have XXKPQ with UC kernel flash with MIUI 2.4.6

Uninstall the existing dsp manager and just install dsp manager.apk as any other app.. should work fine..

the DSP manager is incorporated with the JP MIUI 2.4.6 V4 ROM(from the thread of TheFranskentain__ by gm007) i dont know how to remove that DSP file since i cannot see in the uninstallation window using the uninstaller

After flashing the zip go to system>application>dsp manager clear data.
If problem still persists use too explorer Go to System/app and remove DSP manager and install it using any apk

already uninstalled the dsp manager using astro file manager and Super manager, and reinstallation of the DSP apk, however still force closing. Problem not yet solve sir.. any more solutions>

yes sir, cleared the data as well as uninstall the DSP file using the supermanager apk. however the problem still persist

Is dspmanager.apk still in /system/app? If yes then delete it, put the the fixed apk, set permissions to rw-r--r--. If still force closes boot into cwm recovery and fix permissions.

using root explorer go to system/app and install the app galaxyics.apk or similar named app again and reboot......
Still there is no stable version of ics for fit....thats why it stops working....u can try ics styled custom roms....there are many....
Check the development section...

That galaxyics app was made by the galaxyics team themselves...but unfortunately, it doesn't work...
And there are other more important things to be fixed, so there's still some time till this becomes a priority...

It's already ported inside cm9, but if you're talking about getting it to work on cm7 or Gingerbread it's impossible !

ya in jana v5 its there but no swipe to close feature but i have tht maclw cm9 which has tht feature, i knw tht it will'nt work but how abt giving a try! !!!!

there is no taskmanager.apk in cm9 i think its a script.......tell me the file and procedure? ???i will upload it for u
Sorry but i dont know the procedure if its a script. Maybe we should just leave it to the devs.
I tried the Galaxy Y mod (I don't care about the swipe to remove) editing the .xml from framework-res.apk but I had trouble with it because I don't know what lines I should change. So, could anyone help me?
Guys just try this tweak by flashing once and I guarantee that you ll experience that so called buttery smoothness both in apps as well as games. This collection of tweaks contains all the required stuff so that u don't have apply each tweak separately.
Recommended that no tweaks are applied before. Uninstall seeder if u have installed. Entropy values should not have been modified.
Just download the tweak and flash it in the recovery. You must have at least 10mb according to the developer. I recommend u to delete some useless stuff like Apollo, android keyboard,etc. U can install those stuff like normal apks.
If you want to verify that the tweaks are working just open terminal emulator and type:
Su
Directinject
Set the min free values according to how u deal with apps by typing:
Su
Rambooster
Type the following in the same to achieve zero lag in the ui:
Su
Entro
That's it! Experience real working tweak!
Tested on cm9 build 9, cm10.1 beta1.

If you are trying to use this tweak on phones with overclocked kernels, just copy all the stuff from system folder to the respective folders in your phone and set the permissions(check all the boxes using root explorer). Use 600mhz while transferring stuff into system partition. Use any root apps to clear dalvik cache.

There's no relation between these tweaks and WiFi. Flash a better kernel or rebooting solves the Wi-Fi bug. If you are using cm10.1 b3 then WiFi hotspot won't work.

Yeah. It does work. What kinda questions are u guys asking??? There is no relation between the kernel and the tweak above. The bugs if present is are inherited by rom and kernel.

In simple words u just don't know how to flash.
Like I said around 10mb must be free according to developer. But the quality of the recoveries we use just won't fill the memory completely. So delete all the unwanted stuff like wallpaper apks, media files, boot animation, unwanted language packs, etc. Just make the ROM look slim. Flash it. If it boots then flash gapps. If it is flashed properly, then flash that kernel. If your phone works correctly without any apps force closing, then reboot to recovery and flash the stuff.
U can install all those stuff u deleted later. @everyone just don't post stuff like ROM not booting, etc,etc. First confirm whether the rom is booted and then flash this stuff.

Do you kidding me? I am not a st*p*d noob xD... The ROM has 50 MB of free space, so this isn't the problem. The ROM and kernel work perfect, mean that must be the SD card or these scripts or both...

Extract the zip and put them to their right places... Just follow the folder locations
Set Permissions for files to rw-r--r-- and for the folder, rwxr-xr-x
Delete all files from /system/lib/soundfx before replacing them with the dolby ones... Also delete dspmanager.apk at /system/app
And add this at the end of build.prop at /system
ro.config.hw_dolby=true
After installing the mod, reboot to recovery and clear cache and dalvik cache...
After that, reboot and enjoy the new sound changes
Tested on CM10.2, works great! Should work fine too on ICS and other JB roms too...

just flash it using recovery!
updated the zip file to mount automatically.. i.e it will now delete DSPmanager properly!
so, to all folks who flashed before just reflash again!
and by the way thanks for porting Dolby to Pico :highfive: :good: i always wanted dolby for ma pico cause my laptop also has it!
Edit: this works with latest weekly (cm 10.2 weekly 4.1)...
update: fixed issues with not deleting stuffs properly!... (and it works with latest weekly i.e 5 & flashed using TWRP v2.6.3.0)

may be yes!! but if you wanna use the flasher zip you must change the directories accordingly!
Creates problems with proximity sensors in ICS. It's confirmed!

to the dudes having problems and new update!!!
To the dudes who are having problems on this audio mod, make sure you delete all files inside /system/lib/soundfx before replacing them, and delete dspmanager.apk at /system/app, that conflicts dolby mod...
Also download the latest zip now, updated my post... added the apk I forgot (didnt noticed it lol) and deleted unecessary conf file at zip... again, not a flashable zip. Sorry guys, my laptop is dead
Put the files and folders on their right places
All files permission must be rw-r--r-- and for the data folder that you'll put at /system, set permission to rwxr-xr-x
Tested on latest CM10.2 weekly, works fine...

No it wont. Same a MusicFX.apk, it will only run at the background to make the dolby service to work...
