[Q] Lock Screen animation - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

hello as stated in the title, when u lock de screen does ur original i9003 phone, no root, no custom kernel or rom, have a "tv closing" animation? or do u get it when u flash a certain rom or kernel, thks in advance appreciates ur replies!

Have you previously flashed something before before you noticed this? custom ROMs? anything? I'm guessing you flashed a zip file that enabled the animation.

Actually in every GB rom the crt animation is included but its deactivated. You can simply turn it on by editing framework-res.apk
send from gt-i9003 using android keyboard

It's not available in the stock rom by default. The easiest way is to flash one of the custom themes that has the Old CRT off Animation
see this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1335788
or this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1338104
Make sure you read the post carefully and flash on the supported firmware version though.

so i hav to activate it in the frameworks?

thks hahas

If you are not using a CUSTOM Rom that is cooked in the kitchen, then please make sure you have checked the original settings>Location & security>Set unlock pattern and then connect the dots. This option is not normally changed even on custom roms (at least not the ones found on this site!)
Thanks but I wasn't looking for this "dot" lockscreen (which I know) but for the original Android lockscreen that was removed by Samsung.
This original Android lockscreen is with 2 buttons :
- The left one that unlocks the screen when you slide it to the right
- The right one that mutes the phone when you slide it to the left
even i want the same thing. Touchwiz is not good. No luck at all. I am using kyriloss' rom. Someone help!
You can test that : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865900
I recently bricked my I9000 after trying to install the Android lockscreen made for XWJS3 ROM on my XWJS5 ROM...
So I won't risk to face the same trouble and rather look for an Android lockscreen made for I5801BVJP9...

Curious...
You can't brick your phone by replacing android.policy.odex
Your phone could be stuck at boot animation...
if it's the case and if you're not reboot, you can use ADB to push your android.policy.odex you have backuped.
if not, you've just to reflash your phone.
I could unbrick my I9000 by reflashing the ROM but I don't want to do the same on my father's I5801 ;-) that's why I'm looking for the right file...

I HAVE created a custom theme in UOT Kitchen (including modifying the lockscreen icons) now I want the original green round icons back... i've been searching everywhere with no luck. Is this possible without an app?
Can I modify a file, download an .APK, etc?
While I'm on the subject... can I change the background to just a flat black?
Is there any way that we can get that android lock work on different stock ROMS?????
I want it too for my DDJP6 ROM....

then you can go for widget locker which is available on the market...
Thank you

[Theme]{updated with fix for DDLf2\(XWLF2-testers needed)}Little bit S2-ICS look

Hi Friends, I have try to make theme looking little bit S2 like. I have changed drawables from framework-res of s2. I have also changed icons of apps same as s2.
Added S2 keyboard.
I have used morphing file made by ammar786 and I am thankful of him for that. As I have edited darawables to make this theme, now it should work on all GB firmware. But I need some testers for that.
This time ammar786 has helped a lot which u can see here.. So he should also be thanked. So dont forget to thanks him
New version change-log:-
1.Based on S2 ics stock look(little bit)
2. Added system back ground
3. Ics style holo progress bar
4. Changed icons to ics style in gmail, gtalk and voice search app
5.Added modded touchwiz launcher from here.,it is really smoother than stock one.
6. More polished battery icon and some other changes.....
Installation of new version:-
1. Put the zip file in external_sd.
2. Open cwm recovery.
3.If u r on other theme then flash deodexing file first and then my theme only.
4.If u use any mods than first flash deodexing file then flash mods again. Then flash my theme and at last flash fix file from below link.
Download link:-https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B4tLzE5Rh5e0b05veU5DaGkyM2c
Download link for mods fix:-https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4tLzE5Rh5e0Tk9vZzA2ZkQ2eU0/edit?pli=1
Screen shots of new theme is below...
I think your phone should be dodexed.
Older version will work on all the stock gb roms.
As I have edited darawables in files to make this theme, now it should work on other GB firmware. But I need some testers for that. Download link is below.(Not for ddlf2/xwlf2)
Changes(older version):-
Drawable changes in...
1. Mms.apk
2. Clockpackage.apk
3. Browser,apk
4 Music.apk(Some changes...)
And some other chnges...
And due to morphing zip size is reduced.
Installation:-
1.Flash through CWM.
2. If u r on other theme then flash deodexing zip file first, then flash theme.
3. If u use mods then flash deodexing file then mods and then theme.
Download link for other gb roms besides value pack:-https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B4tLzE5Rh5e0cGVtRHFIWkk5LXc
Screen shots are attached below.
I have made this theme on s2 stock theme so it may possible that u don't get much changes but i have made changes.
Cool! Nice...
Thx for ur efforts.

You need install Gingerbread Fit, and only then if you want, root it.
From here you can download Android 2.3.6 for Fit and install it with ODIN.

[MOD] Enable custom bootanimation.zip

I don't hold any responsibility for any damage that may occur
So let's get going!
This is not recommended for people who doesn't even have any idea about recovery and flashing packs.
Just flash this file:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/1kl7xuu08fdusfo/CWM_CustomBootanimation_44_Enable.zip
If you get into trouble the package creates a backup of the file changed
All thanks to anbech for this

I suggest you to deodex your device using THIS guide. This will help you, as after which you can use any mod because mods need deodexed system.
If you want you can have the file attached below, flash it using CWM and you will have Lollipop Navigation Bar.
