Hi guys, I am running the latest nightlys and my fiance noticed that she can not watch videos from Facebook. So I tried and it keeps telling me I need to install flash... Is there a way to get the videos to Play on the Xoom from Facebook? We dont use any FB Apps, we just log in using the browser and/or Dolphin HD....

Hi guys,
My Youtube app is not working, i can use the search to find videos, read comments, post comments, but i cannot watch any video, it just dont load the video. Youtube works normaly on the web browser, i tried this in 3 wi-fi spots, none of them worked.
i tried to find something about it, but nothing related to android.
I have a SGS with Froyo 2.2, rooted with superoneclick.
Any ideas?

I've heard that i doesn't work on rooted phones, i installed the new market, it should install along with the new market but it didn't. I guess that's due to me being rooted.

set the browser ua to desktop by typing about:useragent in the adress bar. then log into the gmail desktop site. once logged into google go to the web market at market.android.com/movies
the movies will play in the browsers video player at 480p which is the phones native res anyhow, I'm sure this is the same as google video will play it. they are hosted by youtube and I don't see the hq modes on my pc so id guess that's the quality limit.
this way it will play throuh mhl with no problems.
im rooted. the download wouldnt install from the market. it would start and then just stop for no reason. so i installed from apk. it works now, and with the market too. divx movies forward over to play in the samsung player.

Hey Jack thanks for the apk. It installed just fine but when I tried to play a movie I rented from the market (Wedding Crashers Unrated) I got the following error:
Playback not supported on rooted devices (Error 49)
Have you rented a flick from the market and if so were you able to watch it? I'm rooted and running Infused 153. Thanks again man.
Set the browser user agent to desktop, browse to the Android Market website, and launch the movie from there. Think that may work.
nope, i have yet to see anything i would want to rent over netflix.

yep this is how ive been doing it, works just fine.
ok, I'm a complete novice so can someone please tell me how to do this? I'm getting the rooted error 49 too and have no idea how to get the movie to play. I don't know how to open it in the browser either, so I am totally lost. I have a feeling I just wasted 3.99. Lol.
my youtube app is loading videos up but it takes TOOOOOO LONG!!! sometimes it wont even load it up itll just say error
this happened like a month
i was eb 2.3.5 v2.3 ( something like that but the data was fast on this rom) now im on miui and data is working fine for everything else like browsing or widgets etc.
now even on wifi or not my youtube videos wont even load up
the thumbnail and comments and everything else besides the video loads up fine
but now idk what to do
anyone????
Update your flash player, uninstall youtube app and re-install.

Mine plays fine just watched a few videos in HQ on cellular data, and tried on wi-fi no issues here...

This really pisses me off. I watch YouTube like all the time. I have a G2 and that has no problems.
G2x just has issues and this YouTube debacle is like the final insult. Browser has stopped forced close on 174 but was forced to stop browser. Its is only two.issues affecting cm 2.3.7
Switched back to nightlies
also Netflix stopped working so went to a backup. No video just audio
miui is a cyan base rom
and the browser version works ok but the youtube app is giving loading issues
so y u just open youtube from browser?easy and same as youtube app
or u can uncheck option that force u to use mobile site
so u can open youtube as desktop site
much better really couse u have all feature of desktop site

like comments while watching
playlist etc

using youtube from the browser isnt really something i really want to do but i just want to fix this problem since i like to use youtube occasionally

Try using the latest cm nightly.
it's the rom.... i also had the issue and i still do even with EB 2.3.5 and as well as the cm7 stabled Gb version.... not only with the youtube app but on some of the websites had flash issues where videos were just green lines. so i switched back to EB 2.3.3 stock Gb version. Devs are working as to finding out the problem but still no luck.
I tried the latest nightly 174 and loaded videos instantly this morning.
Will keep trying the Nightly ROMs. Will report back if I encounter the issue again.
Prefer the Youtube app, just faster.

I am having these two issues first I noticed that phone is no more recognized by windows as usb and now this youtube issue of CM stable 7.1 , I was really liking this CM. If someone is there reading these and can help please help.

Youtube Slow issue found
What I did I uninstalled both adobe flash player and youtube app and using dolphin web browser for youtube. I tried all those videos again through dolphin and got the instant response on my almost 2mega Byte connection. So, I guess I have to live without youtube app.

ya i just started to pretty much use the browser for youtube but i really like the youtube app smh please work again
Works fine for me now with nightly 174. No longer delays video play with YouTube app.

Well I recently switched from LG Stock Rom to CM7.1 stable on my P990, and have the same issue. I'm glad that its not just me having slow loading of YouTube videos on the phone. Thanks for sharing the information that the nightly build of CM might help solve the issue. How many others have been successful with that build?
I can confirm that recent nightly builds are no longer causing slow loading of videos in YouTube app. I installed CM7.1 #204

I have 1 question regarding the Facebook video. My wife Note 10.1 hardly able to watch any Facebook video. When she click the video using Facebook official app then it forces to download the video. I uninstalled flash player and try still no luck. Even reinstalled and same thing happened. I had the last version of flash player for 11.x for ICS+

I spent hours today trying to set up video chat applications in may N8013.
I found and installed 5 different apps from the market, One of them has a video that shows you how to set it up, it last 35 minutes,,,wtf? That's longer than flashing my phone and installing all my apps,,,and the video app is older than the new app and it's sooo confusing.
Is there any way to have FACEBOOK VIDEO CHAT WORKING that doesn't take all day?

For some odd reason I can't upload videos to instagram nor send videos through messenger. Upload bar goes half way and just stays there, sometimes it will say "upload failed"
I've tried 3 different roms and nothing. my friend can upload to instagram without any issues.
anybody? I really need to upload videos to instagram
Do you REALLY have to, are you running aosp ROMs?
Your instacram app may not be compatible with your roms, maybe it needs to be updated.
