All right, first look. The rom is smooth, like any AOSP ROM. It's not similar to MIUI, the only thing i saw in common was the icons (squarish). The lockscreen is good (you need to change it in PREFERENCES, otherwise it's stock), the desktop effects are nice too. There are some cool widgets, but the weather clock only shows weather for chinese cities, i couldn't change the country. The toggles are intelligently placed.
Overall, pretty nice, but not as good as MIUI (i compare it as it's the only other skinned AOSP ROM). Some parts are ugly, and a LOT is stock. Yet, the ROM is very new, and i am sure more customization is on the way. I'll stick to MIUI v4 for now, but i'm pretty sure i'll be drawn back here in the near future

Anyone tried without full wipe? I'm asking because if you install MIUI you should wipe (or else things won't work properly)...is this the same with this ROM? Or I can go from Virtuous to this by wiping only cache?

Some bugs I found:
Titanium Backup works, but some Apps (Whats app) can`t be installed, also from the market!? Strange thing.
USB storage is not working
LED notification was not working for me
I really would like to use this rom, but due to the fact of glitches during unlocking
the SIM card, it`s not possible to unlock Simcard after Reboot.
You can still go further to home, but you have no chance to get into mobile network after that.
Fore now I am going back to Virtuos Quattro but I will definitely come back to this lovely ROM, when more things are working!
Hopefully Prox can fix them for us!

Guys, READ the OP... There is no network after reboot, should manually choose operator each time

OK!. Another pearl from our greatest polish developers, this one without ramhack, and with JIT enabled, so greatest speed for the gamers.
Not so great looking, like Laszlo ROM, but the best speed i've seen without ramhack by now, believe me. Worth the try.

I'll give this one a try as well. Been using Donut by Laszlo the last two days and I like the looks except for a few icons(don't like square boxes on my icons) and the speed is real good.
the not so great looking part is perfect, The ROMs posted here should focus on the internal technical aspects, like speed n stability. you wanna worry bout looks goto theme section. Themes are something personal

Guy, you are crazy. I'm grateful, but it shoulden't be on XDA, between great developer ROM's. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's mine opinion. BonsaI it's mine modification/distribution of some great ROM.
If you install it, you wont disappointed, like author said.

Well, I always keep saying about ROMs that the AOSP outpasses al the rest of the ROMs in this forum, Now that I have used this ROM for a coupl of hours - I kind of having a feeling to keep it running on my G1.
1. According to speed my experience on G1:
CSDI/BLUE MAGIC> BONSAI> AOSP> SupD/Fasttest> Laszlo> and rests
2. The Look is not bad, stability and speed sustainibility wil be reported as sson as I have used this for another couple of days
3. Built in apps choice is really great! - it has ROOT explorer, BT FTP, Quick boot, SetCPU, SU, Taptalker, Sound Recorder by default
4. Built in HTC IME
5. I am liking it

hey bro excellent review. this is how people should review stuff. comparing them to the other roms theyve used, and also providing feedback was to what this rom is good at and bad at (aka a pro's con's list). some people were saying they had reboot issues? i'm guessing yours is running perfect. lazlo's rom was ok but he doesn't respond on feedback and i disliked it because i couldnt install the latin_ime.apk without a force close.
@sino8r- is their latin_ime.apk running in this rom or will it fc as well? if this rom runs well, i am going to theme it to CYANOCH (if you guys remember that is what i put together using CYANOID and ENOCH themes for two roms that had no good themes at that time. currently i am running Pay's rom with advanced launcher because i didnt like home++;i themed it as well to CYANOCH and made it JIT enabled- so far its very smooth.

Ok guys here is my Doubleshot port.
It a little laggy due to the size of the ROM after flashing I have 55mb left.

In order the flash this rom you need to partition your sdcard.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. BACK UP YOUR MEMORY CARD TO YOUR COMPUTER THIS WILL ERASE EVERYTHING
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Select Partition sdcard
4. Select Partition SD
5. swap at 0mb
6. Ext2-size = 2048 (this is 2GB the reason so big is because of the 3.0 packages taking up so much space)
7. Select upgrade ext2 to ext3
8. Now go back and mount your sdcard
9. Drag all your files including the ROM
10. Flash the Rom and enjoy!!!
Coming from a different ROM got to(RA recovery) wipe/wipe all userdata/factory rest.

Yes, chubbz - great job on the Doubleshot ROM. I'm posting from it now.
Here's what I've found so far:
- Bluetooth: Turns on, but won't find my Car Kit. I had the same issue with Leo's ROM.
- Voicemail # in Settings: I know you said VM wasn't working, but I thought you were just referring to the lack of VVM. You can't even change the VM#. I guess that's because of all the T-Mo/GSM customization?
- Weather: it ALMOST works, but just as it shows me the temp on the screen, it closes. I guess that's because hardware acceleration isn't completely working (even though I see it's on your "working" list)?
Overall, it's pretty responsive, and I do like the Sense 3.0 features, like the carousel and the launcher shortcuts. Great job so far, and I look forward to future releases.
P.S. I hate that T-Mobile barfed all over this ROM, with all their customizing and pink highlights ...

You should probably also add that G-sensor isn't working either ...
I gave it a whirl.. got the low memory message as soon as it booted. The weather widget loads but crashes when you click it. Carousel works but pretty laggy. Went back to the ginger sense for now but will try again later.
just flashed. a quick force close on "htc sense" on first boot but loaded fine. only 35mb left after install. google talk doesn't open at all. overall the rom is very responsive!

I will be downloading this when I get a chance and I hope you continue your work on this Rom and other works. I recently decided to dive into sense 3.5 and like it. I will be adding a gesture tweak shortly to the settings allowing you to customize the gesture control

As for how smooth the Rom is, i think it is very smooth.
I would definaltey say download an try it its very quick
I hope you are right I changed 20 romes until I found my last ROM and I dont wanna switch it for nothing...

the camcorder seems to be working.....im not completely sure though....just keep me updated about a few bugs as u guys test it and ll work on it as time goes along and i will update the thread as such..

nope it isnt its just a port from the incredible 2....problem is i dont understand compiling from sourcodes yet...so maybe later on..

i like sanvolds i used it for a while but im a personal fan of aokp..
Very good ROM. It feels faster than the other ICS ROMs available.
But it has some issues. Touchscreen issues. Desire uses a mediocre touchpanel and some tweaks are needed to work perfectly.
Both the S3 launcher and the browser have erratic touchscreen.
Also ... easy to implement in the next version. Trackpad 2 Awake. MUST for Desire.
That's all. Besides that it feels good. AOKP is always a good choice!
Thank you for this rom, it feels nice. Doesn't have any sort of space scripts like app 2 sd or something does it? I tried to install 2msd and move apps and dalvik, i'll see how it goes.
so far so good, i'm a fan of apex so I kinda left apart the new launcher, sorry about that i'll let you know if i find anything bad.

I'd say, tp2wake \ tp2wake&unlock, to be more precise.
Some people prefer to have only wake, though I never understood them - the chances of accidentally pressing the trackpad are precisely zero, and double-pressing it to wake&unlock is a great usability enhancement.
I never understood the trackpad2wake popularity, just swipe the god damn screen to unlock?
Yeah, it is very smooth and fast... only problem is with memory....
m2sd is not working, s2e also...
It would be nice to implement KSM also...

Great to see new people here. I can give you some hints on how to build from source later on GTalk, or I might just go ahead and release M6 myself.
@all AOKP people: I gave away my Desire. It's been a great time, especially after most noobs (no offence meant) switched to newer devices, but supporting qsd8k in upstream has really become a huge pain, the summer holidays are now over and I have two great projects ahead. For all those reasons, I don't think I'll be able to support the Desire on JB and beyond. I hope you all understand. You're awesome, all of you. Thank you. And see you all on the 2012 Xperia scene

Just delete 40a2sd script before flashing the zip and try to use INT2EXT+
