How to get a developer our phone - XV6700, PPC-6700 ROM Development

Any advice how to raise the funds to supply a good developer an E4GT? I'm sure there are several ways...

[Q] Perhaps a Petition?

I don't quite understand how exactly an aosp rom is built. I know there are drivers for the phone that Samsung has. I know they release the source to the phones. I think I read that aosp source is separate from what Samsung gives us with all their customization (they probably have both). I know that we have developers trying to piece an aosp rom together with what we have available. What if we tried a petition? Coming from the Transformer Prime Forums where the petition to get the boot loader unlocked changed Asus's tune and they gave us the tool. Maybe we can pressure Samsung to give us at least the stuff we need for a Gingerbread aosp rom. which would lead to cm7 which would greatly increase our odds for cm9 I think. Is this crazy talk or does anybody else think this has a shot?

I think it needs to go into the general forum so everyone sees it. I know with asus there was a huge social media campaign to (though completely different circumstances). Not sure how all of this will work but it's worth a shot!

I would include the amount pledged thus far either in the topic itself or in the title to help catch a developers eye. Perhaps a small description. Nothing fancy, just something that states what were trying to do and links to the topic.

Aokps xoomdev looking to get sgs3

MOD EDIT: please refer to this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30503683
We should all pitch in. Official aokp support would be awesome

He will give away his nexus to someone who donated at random if he receives enough for a gs3. If not, he will refund all the donations. Seems like a pretty sweet deal to get official aokp.

I'm sure he will raise enough to get the device. And once we get official support. We will have pure bliss lol
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Pitched in as well. First post.
Forgive me.... but why raise money for someone who doesn't have the device at all to support it when there is an excellent dev with the device already who can support it...? The logic is really missing there....

Bestest Place to buy Devices?

I have seen people mention a site called swappa. Is this the best one. I have been looking for a tablet and don't trust huge sites like eBay. Is swappa a good choice? Asking fellow users.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I have used them to buy. They get my vote.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Read into them. Honestly it'd be my first choice if I'm buying outright. Read all their tos and whatnot. As far as I know only clean esn's are on there. I have read into it and it definitely is a lot better of an option than eBay in my opinion

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
the correct english is " most bestest" dumbass
I bought and sold on swappa. But be cautious of sketchyness. My first one I bought turned out to be a scam and my money ended up I'm China. The whole thing was so sketchy. But PayPal is awesome and got my money back in a couple of days.

I vote swappa. Simple as hell to use.

Here on the US west coast, Craigslist is king for used phones.
For safe transactions and reduced prices, you can check out the "outlet" from the company. A lot of companies sell the slightly used tablets and refurbs on their outlet's website.

actually what i always do is, shop around on the site and see whats available. then i call them prior to me checking out to confirm everything and they usually give anywhere from a 10-15% discount.
KEEP IN MIND:
i have a business account
i have 4 lines under my name. All 4 are smart phones
and i get 21% discount on all accessories because of the company i work for.
