hello i9003 users! I want to root my galaxy sl but my pc is dead so I can't use the cwm method to flash the firmware and I used the update.zip method from the same thread and root via recovery mode, the phone accepted the zip but the ectraction stopped due to some cer. error. Please help me.
v 2.2.1 -
JPKB1.
yes u cann!!
Yes you can root without comp....theres a app called z4 root...it can do for u..but it is not preffered.....u should do from a computer....
please bro kindly ask this question in new bees!!!!thread in general section.......u got ur ans but a new thread makes forum confusing...dnt mind....hope it solved ur problem
I tried z4root, gingerbreak, rage in the cage no luck
Try mobile odin. It's developed by chainfire for flashing kernels and firmwares directly from the mobile.
Doomlord posted a how-to. So just search for mobile odin. I used it for flashing uc kernel

yes mobile odin can be used to root your device.... but a pc is most preffered.
Mobile Odin requires root access. what should I do now?
you should use computer to update your froyo to gingerbread to install new custom roms ... all good custom roms build through ginger
I tried rooting via my pc, it was in hell, nothing works on my dino pc. The only app that works with lots of lags is 7zFM.exe and it can't extract files. Formatted that crap trillion times but no use
Ya this is interesting. Without pc how to root phone...? Because many times it happens that we dont have pc with us. If any .apk app would be there to root phone then it will be easy to use mobile odin (which requires odin) to flash new firmwares.
So there is no hope? Hacking symbian is easier !
I can't root or update to GB via OTA
cf root is the only way to root i9003.... z4 and super1click doesnt really work...

1- you should port other phone's rom to your phone and then flash it.. only then will you be able to use that rom on your phone..
2- Google stock rom/original firmware <your phone 'name> .. if its available on the internet then you will find one.. or else you will need to do a nandroid backup or extract it..
3- there is no general rom which works on all phones rightaway.. there is cyanogenmod which is by far available for all phones (don't know about Chinese phones) .. but you will have to do some tweaks or modification to work on a specific phone because different phones have different hardwares..
4-4.1.2 is jb and not ics.. you will have to put cm10 or probably delete the bloatware installed by your supplier..
5- as i said before you need to port cm9 for your phone.. there are many noob friendly guides on xda to help porting roms.. check out

try srsroot, unlock root,z4 root.. if you're not getting your Rom you extract it yourself. I think before porting any Rom,you have to figure out root for your phone because NO CUSTOM ROM WILL WORK WITHOUT ROOT.. try srsroot, it has rooted many unconventional devices also.. Google srsroot, download it from their official website and try..
so i tryed all thos methods...

does your phone has locked bootloader or UNlocked one?
I have a same problem...any ideas?
How good are these phones?
very good phones
A suggestion...
I'm not 100 % you can do it but there is a slight chance you can root your phone through fastboot ! Maybe pushing the su binary and apk through adb and giving permissions or maybe flasing a custom CWM Rrecovery through fastboot and flashing an SU flashable zip through that recovery !
BUT be awere BOTH of these methods are BIG MAYBE ! I can not test and I can not ensure you any of these will work !
You can get a flashable SU package here :
1) Superuser : http://androidsu.com/superuser/
2) Super SU : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
you can
yes you can
i know page on Facebook that support me to root my device and install cmw
Chinese smart phone support
I used this to root my i9400, hope it helps!

Hello, everybody! I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Young s6310 and I want to root it. I have read about rooting, and about different methods of doing so, and I resorted to Framaroot, which didn't quite work. I tried many versions of Framaroot, and every single try had two outcomes: the Aragorn exploit didn't work, the Gandalf crashed (I tried restarting the app 5 or 6 times, but still it wouldn't work).
So Framaroot would be out of the picture. A quick mention: my phone had JB 4.1.2 as a default OS, and most of them come with GB 2.3.6.
I abandoned the idea of rooting it with Framaroot, and I saw another possibility in SRSROOT. Did anyone root his phone with SRSROOT? Are there any risks involved? (mainly in the rooting process, not what it implies afterwards) I have heard that this method is safe, because no flash is required, you just connect your phone to USB, press a button and it's done. Another method I found was the Unlockroot application.
What is the simplest method to root my phone? And the safest one, of course.

I have a Galaxy Nexus so I don't know many ways to root the Galaxy Y. But I have a solution to root it that almost certainly will work.
First flash or boot a custom recovery than flash the latest supersu.

Here's a CWM recovery for your phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2328771
It says there to "flash with Odin". Not sure how to do that, you might want to check Google.
I tried flashing a recovery file from Djalo96's FTP, and Odin doesn't recognize my phone while in download mode, and yes, I have the ADB and fastboot drivers. Odin detects my phone while in normal mode, but when in download, it doesn't show me anything. Sheesh, I never knew it was SO hard to root a phone. I heard something about unlocking the bootloader. I understand the concept behind this, but how do I achieve that?
P.S. I tried rooting it with Unlockroot Pro and SRSROOT and it didn't work. I suppose it's because of this bootloader issue.
Try universal root method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2403230 it worked on my S6310N

you have the samsung drivers do you? you don't need to unlock anything, i have rooted mine with the same guide, and it worked, so if you have installed kies or just the samsung usb driver it should work. you dont need adb or fastboot drivers, odin and samsung drivers should be enough
Try flashing update.zip for sgy.... Google it
JUST PRESS THANKS IF I HELPED...
i root my galaxy young with framaroot 1.6
just choose supersu and gandaf then root and reboot
Find the update.zip file for sgy and zip it using cwm. Also download the update-unroot.zip file in case you need to unroot later on
Press thanks button

I have found that any method u try to root this phone would not work. But thanks to my obsession I have found the only method that will work with this device... Thanks to #TendenciaAndroid, a friend on YouTube. The link is right here. xurl.es/metodo.root-6.de.7 Enjoy !:good:
If you're still on stock GB or recently unbricked and don't have a computer handy, you can download framaroot and you can root your infuse that way without a computer.
Don't try to copy the recovery using this root method. It dosen't seem to work for me.
Just some handy tips for people who have slow internet and/or downloaded the wrong thing and just want to root without a computer
Hi guys.. I'm new to xda and this is my first thread.. please help this novice..
I have a Micromax a110 and I rooted it with shaume (a Chinese flash tool)..
It rooted good and was perfectly fine.. after some weeks, it mysteriously got unrooted and not rooting anymore...
I tried a couple of rooting methods..
In sp tools, my phone is not detecting in my computers after installing all the drivers in off mode..
Root by binary and kingo android root didn't work.. and many self root apps.. root master, framaroot, etc didn't work..
In shaume, the app I used before.. didn't detect my phone or the process gets finished around 15% and not rooted..
Please tell some suggestions.. and kindly reply me..

Hi, I have the samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket i727 still running ginger bread. The usb port on it is broken so I can't charge the phone or hook it up to the computer. Is there any to root this phone without using the computer or mobile odin? To use mobile odin it already needs to have a custom recovery correct? Can I install a custom recovery with root? or using a computer? I have tried several of the apps I've seen posted like z4root, gingerbreak, klingo, stumproot, towelroot and i think 1 or 2 others. Can anyone please give me advice on how to get this rooted with step by step instructions please!! Thanks in advance for any help!!!!

It might be easier for you to just order you a new charging port.
http://smile.amazon.com/Vktech-Char...1428948889&sr=8-6&keywords=i727+charging+port
You'll also need this:
http://smile.amazon.com/Repair-Sams...sim_cps_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1JJPXQC2QA913PEE693R
if on stock recovery ur sol, mobile odin will not work.
u need a working usb port to use odin to flash twrp or cwm which flashes the root files.
