[Q] Best G2/Desire Z Pouch style case

Hi Everyone,
Just got myself a nice unlocked and unbranded Desire Z (UK) at the weekend. I remember reading that the original G1 pouch is a good fit for the Desire Z, but I seem to have misplaced mine. Is there anywhere I can get an official one cheap, or has anyone come across any nice alternatives that are similar?
I remember liking the neoprene outer and soft liner of the OEM G1 pouch, it's a shame HTC aren't shipping them with this phone.

Ebay has a ton of them for like 6 bucks, that's where I got mine for my G2

Is it decent quality though? And do you have a link to the listing?

I don't have a link on me but its the same pouch that the G1. Its the exact official pouch

Oh ok, well I am going to have a better look for mine tonight. If not I will find one on ebay.

The neoprene cases by BUILT are another option you may want to consider if you can afford to pay a bit more. They're extremely well crafted (good materials and stitching) and are a perfect fit... builtny.com

The only problem with that is, I live in the UK, and I don't want to pay for ridiculous shipping costs just for a pouch.
I have ordered a cheap knock off from ebay and will see how good quality that is, if it's rubbish I will look for a better one, maybe get the one you suggest.

If you got the oem case like I linked its the one that htc sent...not a cheap generic.

I already ordered it before you posted your link, but thanks anyway, I will probably get one of those if this is crap.

Ok let me know if you can't get the oem let me know, I'm in the states but shipping something that small shouldn't be that expensive to ship to the uk.

Yeah, it should be cheap, but it's still going to be more than one from the UK. Doesn't matter anyway, i guess no one else has any pouch recommendations.

Has anyone seen the tmobile one for the mytouch 4g? Its leather but not bulky and has a cut out slot at the bottom I'm guessing to see the track pad flashing.. I'm using my g1 one sometimes and a sidekick one other times..seems like that one would be the best of both worlds if it fits

Might be a bit late, but if the pouch you got turned out to be crap then I highly recommend (what I think is) the official Desire Z case found at clove.co.uk http://www.clove.co.uk/htc-desire-z-po-s540-pouch-case It's a leather pouch, with a lining similar to that used in the creen sleaning cloths (so cleans you're screen when you put it in/take it out!) It's a very snug fit, excellent quality and has the HTC logo pressed on it, so I assume it's genuine. It also comes with a tab you pull to take the phone out as it's a very secure fit. I can't speak more highly of a case for a phone than this! Even if you already have one, I still recommend you check it out, it's a uk website and only £9
EDIT: £10.80 inc VAT, possibly also p+p fees.

look for a krussel pouch, its thick real leather... very nice, i have one, its around £10, off ebay. hope this helps

Just searched for "krussel pouch" on eBay and it came up with zero results. I've been thinking about maybe getting a pouch case just to change things up a bit.

No, the one where the phone fits in vertically (portrait). Saw a couple on Amazon, but not sure if that's the route I want to go. Still thinking about it though.

White Back Cover- Genuine or Fake!

Hi guys, sorry for another thread about a white galaxy s cover! So, the situation is that on Ebay I can find a fake white cover for the Galaxy S for around £3-4 (very cheap). Also, I have found a genuine white cover for £8ish from a top seller in Uk so i presume it is genuine. So I wondered which one to go for? I mean, I don't want a cheap one to not fit and be good quality because that would be a waste of money and I would end up purchasing a genuine one! Anybody had a fake cover??? How well do they fit??

I bought one. Mine is definitely fake, as 99% of them are if you're getting it off Ebay. It doesn't have the Google sign on the back.
It fits very well, almost perfect. It's slightly larger than the OEM battery cover, maybe a mm or two outward-back. The plastic feels fine. I'd buy it again. For that price, what do you have to lose?

Looks quite good, the white and red combination.
edit2: Just buy it from the HK seller. Local sellers just buy it from HK by the bulk, and then resell it. You'll likely get the same thing from either.

Genuine will all be £8+ for brand new , otherwise all 14 day/used stock or copies which the market seems to be flooded with , unfortunately

I really don't see the problem in fake ones, quality is really good, and the price from the original is quite different. I vote fake

Those white fake covers may look good , but they don't have a sharp click when it's snapped on like the original cover .
So my guess is upon repeated usage of taking and putting back the cover , it might get so loose , that it won't fit anymore

Amazing Cheap Cases for the Sensation 4G!

I just bought one of these and they are shipped from Hong Kong and take around 7-10 days to arrive. But they're great and under three dollars.
I've added two pictures below and I have had this case fro two days now and it is flexible (tpu) and has no wear or anything on it, but I imagine if dropped it would look a lot worse. But hey the case is cheap and looks amazing on the Sensation, it's very slimming.
Just search Ebay for White TPU Sensation cases, and one from sunlioner should come up, I'll post a link within the next day but it seems he sold out. So give it a day or so. The cases look amazing.

Do they have extended battery case? I'm in desperate need!

These look really good, especially for the price. When I first got my Sensation a year ago I bought an Incipio NGP case. It protects very well but I notice the bit of extra bulk it adds.
I may have to get one of these TPU cases just for giggles... thanks for the tip!

Didn't realize there were black ones, I may have to pick up one of those as well.

Below is the case I get, very cheap too and fits well. But I like the one in the original post too, worth a buy for that price why not.

I bought that black one off of Amazon for four dollars or so but I did not like the silicone shiny black looking stripe on it, that was the only thing that bothered me.

I've had the white and the black one now and the white one looks great but if you get any color or wear on it it will not go away, and the black one actually goes with the phone a lot better so, I'm going to go with the black case even if I have both. Also there is an ugly tint in the white case be cause the Sensations backplate has rubbed off onto the case leaving this ugly black tint/residue. It doesn't come off, I still like the case/s though, they're very sleek, nice, and not to mention cheap .

I link that, its almost a perfect solution. I think that Samsung needs to add a home button like this and a whole for the notification LED. But I may just order one.

im allmost buying the tridea, if it wouldnt be for the added thickness. the s4 is so beatiful and tiny... its allmost a shame to put it into a big case.
the official samsung case is equally expensive... thinner, but the window is not scratch free and user complaints that it doesnt close 100%
i never thought it would be this much hazzle finding the perfect cover...

o ok, i have seen that case but i like how the one I saw on ebay comes in diff colors, has the home button access, and all the logos,just not sure how bulky it will be when i have it one, i want my phone to still be quite small, let me know when you have yours in! im interested to see how it fits in your hands when you have it on your phone!!

Do you know any place that is selling a back housing for the S4, that looks like the back of the note 3?

You asking a product that non existent. Most of those manufacturers even don't know how it feels and most of them no ideas like this. Maybe in future, it really look possible because the same camera & led positions on back of S4

I've been looking for back plate replacements lately as well. I specifically want a leather one.

I don't really care if it looks identical to the official one, I just want a backplate with a better grip (without having to resort to cases.) So far I've only been able to find cheap Chinese/Taiwanese crap where the "leather" sticker starts to peel off in a week. I would've thought that Samsung releasing "faux-leather" back on Note 3 would be a kick in 3rd-party accessory market.

I haven't actually purchased any, but reviews on Amazon (1 and 2 star ones) usually tell you what to not buy.
