Toggles, Quick Settings, and Quick Access Ribbon

Hi,
I am a bit confused about these. They seem to be related but all different things. Could anyone point me to what they are and how they are used?
Thanks
Quick settings is panel accessible from the notification drawer containing tiles (toggles) which control some system settings (wifi,gps,bt..)
Quick access ribbon is a row of controls (system settings like above) you see on top when opening the notification drawer (e.g. sliding from top to bottom)
I see. So I have is Quick Settings (toggles) and Notification. I've not seen quick access ribbon though.
I have both of them in the lower right corner. Above the notifications, there is an row with a single icon which looks like many lines and a ",' following it. I don't see ribbon of toggles. Any way to enable them?
Thanks
I'm using CarbonRom based on CyanogenMod 10.2 (Android 4.3) and I found it in the statusbar settings:
Settings -> Statusbar -> Quick Settings -> Quick Access Ribbon
I did find it. However, when I run in Tablet UI with notification, quick access settings all in the lower right corner, I don't see quick access ribbon. Instead, I see the attached image.
Any clue on why? Thanks
Some screenshots:
And the ribbons

Which rom are you using? Maybe that feature has been implemented yet in your device rom
I have PAC-man 4.3, which has CM 10.2
The ribbon is there in the stock UI mode. When I use tablet UI, when notification and quick settings are both in the lower right corner, the ribbon turns into that icon as in my previous attached image.
Oh I see, it must be just a bug then

CM Notification bar settings Apk

Is the notification bar settings app for CM an APK that I can save? I have to switch back to TW but love that feature.
On a related now is the notification bar settings app for TW an APK I can remove or a process I can disable?
is this one that should be on the developer forum?
And I was mistaken, this should be called CM Toggle.

[Q] Is there a way to change/remove Sony's battery icon?

I'm trying to get the AOSP battery icon instead of the Sony one. I've tried GravityBox, which works to add the AOSP icon, but Sony's one is still there. I know I can disable it in settings but it still shows on the lock screen and when the notification pane is down. Is there any other way to change/remove Sony's battery icon?
Not Optimal... But it works!
So I am figuring you are trying to do this because you got gravity box and when you apply a battery icon it adds it alongside the stock one but doesn't replace it... So there three easy steps to get rid of it! First of all in the settings search for personalization, system icons and untick battery... this will get rid of the battery in the status bar when it is NOT pulled down; then go to the xposed app and download a module called clean lock screen, activate it and tick the option for the removal of the status bar icons... this will get rid of it in the lock screen BUT it will also remove the gravity box one and the WiFi and data signal icons... and lastly, download a module from the xposed installer called android N-ify, this will add some awesome features like the double-tap recents to go to last applications and yata yata but most important thing is that this will customize your notification and quick toggle panel and it by default hides battery... so reboot and your stock battery should be successfully hidden!! I know your question is kinda old by now but I just got back to stock marshmallow in my z3 and was struggling with this same exact problem and this was the best solution I was able to find for this!

Disable notifications

Hello All,
My question is that how can I disable the notification on the notification bar per app.
I just want to disable for example Viber icon and notification on the notification bar, but I want the LED notification only.
If I disable the notifications in app settings, the Viber want to enable it.
I just do not want the Viber icon on the notification bar, but the LED notification is "nice to have".
I checked the Play for this kind of apps without success.
I just surprised with this Android version, because on my old Galaxy S5 (android 6.0.1 note 7rom), this setting is available, when I long press the notification on the notification bar. I can simple disable it.
Or it is because of the Custom rom? I don't think so...
I'm using the below rom on my S5 deivce

Thanks if you have any idea,
Regards,
You can change it from your settings menu, either in the notif area or your app's settings.

No, it can't change. i just tried. if I disable it, all notification has been blocked from the app with LED notification, not just the statusbar or notification bar notifications.
I just attached some picture about my problem.
When I turn off the notification on notification bar, the app will require to enable it. On my old phone as I mentioned, it was easily to disable the notification on statusbar and on the notification panel.
Is there any solution or app for do that? For better understanding: I want the LED notification, but without notification panel notification.
The last picture contains the setting what I looking for... it is from my old Samsung Galaxy S5 (note 7 custom rom) marked with red.

How to know which app as put up a specific status bar icon?

Hi all!
Does anyone know if there's a built-in way, or an app, that I can use to find out what app has put an icon on the status bar?
For example, there's currently an "alarm clock" icon in my status bar, but I didn't set an alarm on anything. I'm wonder what app placed it there.
Any way I can find out which app did it?
This is on a Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact running Android 10.

That'd be great, except it's not a notification, it's not on the notification bar, it's on the status bar (right side). Notification settings doesn't show anything from that side of the bar.
Unless I'm sadly mistaken? Care to elucidate?

I'm not on your device so I can't say for certain. Maybe Settings > Display > Status Bar ?

I don't think I've seen any such thing, unfortunately.

Ok, it turns out it was the latest update to DejaOffice - it DOES show alarms/notifications, but since the update, it's showing an alarm icon in the status side of the top/status/notification bar, and not showing a notification. Opening the app does nothing to dispell the alarm icon. I had to go through and kill all of my apps, one at a time, to figure out which app it was.
Now I'll post on the DejaOffice forum about this.
