It happens while browsing. It just shuts down to the Launcher. Actually i can't normally use it because of this.
What can be the problem?
I think the problem disappears only when i turn off Javascript, but without it some pages won't load.
i have same problem, its annoying cause when you open the browser after it closes its lost the page you were on, not sure what the problem is though
i had that problem too, downloaded dolpin brower hd and the problem is over
Only times that happends to me is pages with lots of animation. And flash videos crashing the browser i just uninstalled flash and installed an 10.1 flash apk. Maybe helps quick reply. Cheers
I noticed that flash version over 10.1 does not play videos only resulted in green screen error. Im running opera browser and works 10 fold better. Might be related i dunno.

I had this problem on a previous version, I just deleted/copied it from the system/app folder and reinstalled it and it seemed to work fine.
I think it can be also related with ad blockers. When turned off it seem to stop.
I used adaway, and adfree, but it seem that they can cause some problems.
Nope, still had a sudden shut down. 2-3 tabs open while browsing quite a big website results in sudden shut down of a browser,.and tabs disappear.
So there is no other way than set the dolphin as a default.

on my thunderbolt i've been messing around streaming a couple flash videos. On my browser, i have settings set to "on-demand" for plugins so I have to click a flash element before it even begins to load. now, occassionally, i'll open a tab with a flash video, and as soon as i type the flash element, the browser exits immediately and I re-open the browser to find all my tabs closed and it loads up google (homepage). Its only sometimes that this happens and I haven't checked to see if auto-loading flash elements make a difference, but I do know that it's happened to me on the thunderbolt's browser as well as in dolphin HD browser.
anyone ever experience this? I remember it happening on my OG droid, maybe just an android quirk?
Bump
Anyone? It just happened to me again when i wasnt even trying to play flash...its really annying when you have 5-6 tabs open with no easy way to restore them when i reopen the browser
Turn off add ons and see if that helps at all.

Maybe one of the sites you have open has a script stuck running and wont complete....
I've had this happen a few times. I wasn't trying to use flash, however.
Happened to me once so far on T bolt. Happened a few times on some other android phones ive had. Idk what causes it. Its random.
Yeah it's a mystery I guesd. Overclocked to 1.5ghz today though!
Go To apps in settings menu and look for the internet app and clear chache and clear data should work

I dont really know why but my stock browser force close or even unexpected close.
does this happen to you TF?
Mine used to only crash every blue moon, but after the latest firmware update it's crashing quite a bit.
About to try Dolphin HD or another browser...
Yes, so currently I am using Dolphin HD until the build in browser is more stable.
yep..it did randomly force close on mine too... not a huge problem but can be annoying at times..hopefully it gets fixed soon
Mine has been crashing too...it does it on some web pages more than others. If you go to gmail, ti crashes almost all the time. Not that I need to go there, but I was testing to see what cause it to close. Haven't found any reason besides that while it started doing this....my trouble with the blank screen has decreased. I only had to reboot it once last week. But this week it has already blank screen once.
it happenned to me very rarely. But after the update, its doing more often.
Has anyone experienced this or has this been discussed in any thread for the TF? But my stock browser often closes unexpectedly with no force close message and returns to the home screen. When reopened, it forgets the recently the opened pages. Very, very annoying..

I got this a few times last night. It happened mainly on large/busy sites. I think this is an issue that will be rectified with the future 3.1 update.

Had it happen once or twice in the past 3 weeks. I think it is just an HC stability issue.
It seems to happen to me more often after I updated to the latest Adobe Flash 10.3.
Ditto. It has happened here every once and a while... But not enough to bother me.. I assume it will be addressed later.
This happened about 3 times yesterday evening while I was browsing. I don't know if it is related to a HC stability bug, or an Adobe Flash bug, although I'm more inclined towards the former, because I can browse perfectly fine with my Atrix on Flash 10.3. Also, I noticed a strange thing for the first time yesterday: When the browser crashes with no FC message, and you restart it back again, I get a screen filled with banding and multi-colored interference. Only way to fix it is to restart. I hope all of this gets taken care of with 3.1, because the browser experience really leaves something to be desired on 3.0.1 in my opinion. It just does not handle any heavy pages at all, let alone any embedded videos or just videos period.
happens when you try surfing to gmail
If you would like to see it crash 100% of the time, go to your gmail and try to open a message
It also freaks out in Gmail main page.
I was having browser crashes as well until the sudden disk space full error. After my factory reset the browser crashes have gone away. I wonder if they are related.
I got it twice in 3 weeks. It happened both times on Yahoo's ain page.
Happens to me also but never loses its place.
3.1
i first noticed this happening last night, 2nd night after updating to 3.1. never happened before that. i don't have the screen timeout on so the screen will stay on so i can see my moves list at a glance on a website. after about 10-15 minutes of not touching device it will just suddenly return to the homescreen and if i open browser it has to reload the page. i thought maybe it was something to do with the built in android memory management auto killing the browser, since there doesn't appear to be any flash on the page.
i too am having this problem.
Stock browser is where it started, so I go Dolphin HD and it still happens. So its not the browser itself it would seem, since 2 different browsers both do it.
There HAS to be a fix for this...
Since the 3.1 update I'm seeing something different - The browser simply stops responding after a while.

I to am having trouble with my browser. I am experiencing it ceasing to function aftwr awhile as l as frequent crashing when I load it. Crashes all the time if I type anything or use the menu if Ido so before it finishes loading my home page.
When your updated to 3.1, click reset all in the settings menu. Then when it's finish go into the browser settings and set plugins to be on demand. I'm able to run well like that it is flash that kills it, soon as you click the flash content to enable it on a page it may crash.
I'm using a freshly flashed ICS stock ROM with no other apps installed, and Chrome constantly crashes, and at one point hung the whole tablet, not even the home button was working. Removing the app and running it normally with the stock browser is fine and dandy.
Anyone else have this same issue?

I have the opposite problem. Stock browser will randomly stop working - no crashes but no webpages load at all they all hang with loading bar half completed. Reboot required to fix (killing browser process not sufficient). Also stock (HK tab ZSLP7 firmware). Its not the network as other devices are fine.
What keyboard are you using? I struggle with chrome hanging on Swype keyboard text entry. Stopped using it.

Disabled GPU 2D rendering.
LP10 i815
I can't even get chrome from play store says not compatible with device. Any one has similar experience in 4.0.4?
About a week after getting my 7.7, I have tried about 6 browsers and ended up with Maxthon Web Browser. It has everything I shall ever need from a browser and is blazing fast.
Just make sure you don't install the version for tablets, it's new and underdeveloped.
Chrome is noticeably laggy and slow to load. Firefox works best atm i think

Hey there
My chrome crashes too, same as yours, i'm waiting for paranoid, hope it'll be fixed
Same here That's why I also use Dolphin. That one nearly never crashes.:fingers-crossed:
So when using Dolphin browser on my S6, and visiting some sites [replicable for me loading up imgur.com ] the browser freezes up midway through loading it, and the page becomes unresponsive. A few seconds later the screen goes black, and brings me back to the home screen of the phone. After this, my wallpaper would be reverted to default, and while plugged into my computer I would lose access to the sd card.
Has anyone else experienced a crash like that from Dolphin on their s6?
I've since uninstalled it and have been using chrome for now.
Hi, Same problem with my S6 Edge and dolphin browser. I think we should wait for an update from dolphin and it will be solved.
If you have jetpack enabled. Try disabling and/or uninstalling it. Worked for me.

Hello, you can send a report when you encountred the freeze/crash issue again via Dolphin Settings> About > Send Feedback > Not responding/Stopped unexpectedly. After all, the issue you described seems complicated.

They actually fixed it a month or two after the phone came out. It was in the changelog. Still, too long for such an unusable bug. I moved to chrome and haven't gone back.
