only thing different between the two is ultimate unbrick is stock nonrooted ,odin is stock plus root they both use odin program
Best method.....Works Flawless.

Okay yea I figured there was any difference since they both used odin. Just wanted to double check before I did anything. I appreciate it.

I've been cruising around this forum for a couple hours and I see roms to flash via ODIN and deodexed and rooted stock, but no plain-jane out of the box ODIN.
Am I missing something? In the Captivate forum it was easy to find.
ODIN isnt a rom its simply a program/tool used to flash kernels, I recommend you use whitwhawxk's stock kd1 but it is rooted and deodexed (which are good things anyway)

Don't worry I do know that, lol. Not a complete noob.
I'm more concerned with UNROOTING to out of the box state for warranty or resale scenarios or to update via kies mini.
In the Captivate forum the plain Jane Odin was easy to find.
Thanks for your response.

So is that the official unroot method so far? Flash the rooted stock and use SOC to unroot?
Will that result in a perfect out of the box state?
Also haven't been able to find kies on the samsung website. Do I have to register before they'll let me download it?

Its almost impossible to brick this phone....if u can get to recovery do a complete wipe and flash another rom ...if not use gtg unbrick in infuse super thread to go back to stock or one of the rooted Odin packages...

only uckk4 is corrupt. that's the one that dropped today. all the other leaks are working. look for uckk3, or better yet get the phone recovered with the stock package, get cwm, (I'd use the defuse kernel oneclick heimdall, quickest way to get cwm from stock) then flash caty rom or victory rom which will be rooted.

I have a small panic attack when I think of people flashing ROMs without knowing how to restore/unbrick. Especially leaks.

Umm.. are you rooted? If so what rom? How did you go about upgrading the camera?? Have you tried reflashing? Have you rebooted? Odin? And please find what these are if you don't know.. please find them. It's more than available. Use the Infuse 4G super thread found in the dev section.

Hmm... if you're rooted have you tried going back to stock.. I'd imagine this should be fixable.

Even if your not rooted, you can try heimdall or odin back to one of the stock images.

yeah..download mode doesn't need root.
that's why you can odin h8rift's 3e and root or
heimdall uckj4 stock and defuse kernel and flash whatever you want

Schweet..
Dude.. your camera still green bro?
My brother's Infuse is having problems with the power button (it randomly decides to "activate" continuously, leading it to perpetually restart). I flashed a custom ROM to it a while back and I don't think AT&T would replace it if they saw that it had a ROM on it.
All the links I tried in the development and general forum for stock ROMs seem dead, so I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a stock, unrooted ROM for the Infuse. It would be even better if it were Odin flashable as the power button randomly selects menu items.
Thanks for the help!
You can just Odin back to stock using gtgs method.

Unfortunately, a newer member can look for an Odin One-Click all day and not find it because it is called Gremlin Remover. Take that into consideration when helping.
OP: Look at the guide in the second link of my signature for help. Were you already on Gingerbread before flashing the kernel?
Sorry, meant this

Thanks. Now, do you know where can i get the original kernel of the phone?
The heimdall sets the phone completely back to stock, kernel and all
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA
and where can i get the unbrick files?
It does everything for you, sets ROM back to stock, sets kernel back to stock, and fixed your phone if it's bricked, just follow the instructions and you should be back to normal

Use hemidall it flashes everything back to stock you will also have to out the phone into download mode

i can't find the program. can you give me a link? in the post isn't present
Second link in my signature has a guide with links.
