Ok I know there is already an My Gamertag App out there and it is a good one. But idk about everyone else but i want something a little more diverse. Here is my idea, one of the great thinks about the xbox360 is its friends and message system. Your friend comes online or you get a message a little popup comes up telling you. I want this but on my phone.
Details:
Program that you login to your gamertag and it displaces all your friends and messages. When a new friend goes online a popup(like txt message notification) comes up saying there are online(like on xbox360). When you get a new message a popup comes up telling you have a new message and from who.
While i do have some programming experience it is very limited. Considering this app would log you into your gamertag i think it would be rather difficult to write...but i think this would be an awesome app, one that i would be willing to put money towards .
What do you think?
Does Microsoft have such an api?

to be honest im not sure, i know you can do all the things i stated by logging into your tag at xbox.com.
The only part that is up in the air is the messages, because friend information can be check online or with the apps like my gamertag the only diffense would be the popup system.
The messaging part may not be possible.
From wat i know so for a friend on mine as an iphone and there is an app like that on there, but the application also even shows his avitar. the apps is called "inxes"
http://www.tuaw.com/2008/12/15/manage-xbox-live-friends-with-inxes/
but i dont think u will be able to login, hopefully microsoft is working on a app like that, if i'm correct a couple years ago there were planning on making xboxlive on WinMo.
i would love an app like this. i have downloaded the my gamer tag app and this prog is great but i would like it to be intigrated into the TouchFlo3D so you get an xbox 360 friends list on the phone so it will operate like the weather tab. so all you have to do is log in your xbox account and it gives you your friends list of who is online and doing what also the ability to send and recieve messages would also be good. then all you have to do is goto the tab and press update to get it refreshed. just a thought. what do you think? is it possible?
Bump? I, for one, would really like to see this app.
Hi guys,
Does anyone know of an Android version of the type of App that allows you to make a list of apps that you are planning to buy, then notifies you of any price changes etc? There seems to be loads of options for this on iOS but I have not seen any on Android. The only one I ever found did not show 99% of the Market and seemed to be American.
I would love to be able to log a list of games I am interested in so that I don't forget to buy them when I have money available for games! Notifications of price changes aren't too important but would be nice - the main thing is not forgetting apps I am interested in.
I've got everything crossed one of you knows of such an app
Thanks!
First, this should be in the Q/A section, in my opinion.
Second, the only thing I've found REMOTELY similar to appshopper on Android is the website www.appbrain.com. I'm not sure if they have an app though.
EDIT: Actually they do have an app, this should be it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...vbS5hcHBzcG90LnN3aXNzY29kZW1vbmtleXMuYXBwcyJd
Bear in mind that Android market is not as neatly organized as Apple's AppStore so there is a huge amount of crap that pops out when you search for a concrete title.
I know iOS has that too, but at least Apple cuts SOME of that crap so you are not bothered with wallpapers and such stupid junk. Anyway, I'm not bashing at Android, I think as an Xperia Play user I can say I'm quite happy with what's on offer.
I just wish more iOS developers would consider it worthwhile to port their games.
Sorry for the rant
'Thanked' for your quick reply! That's brilliant, I'll download Appbrain and check it out.
Sorry for posting in the wrong section - this is the only one I use. Mods feel free to move this if need be.
Seems like a good app but unfortunately no 'favourites' or similar list to remember what you want to install. Any other ideas guys?
I've just discovered 'Best Apps Market' that lets you build a wish list of apps you are interested in. Looks good so far, worth picking up if you have been after what the OP describes. Please Thank me if you grab this!
I'm also looking for this. App Brain looked okay, but there's not way I'm creating an account with my Gmail or FB credentials.

Privacy issues.
Did you try AppSales?
AppZapp Beta
You could try AppZapp beta (search for it on Google Play, sorry I can't add links yet).
It's one of the better ones available for iOS devices but it looks like they're making it for Android now too!
Hi all
My son 13-year-old must submit his phone to me every night. Is there any software that I can read his SMS event if the SMS were deleted?
I will appreciate all your ideas and advices.
Here's an idea, give your son some privacy.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Even tho I agree you should give him privacy and build trust with him, I'll help you out.
You could get a app (not sure of name) that makes a nandroid of every thing (including SMS) and have it set on a timer to do so. So at a random point in the day it will backup everything in it and restore it quickly to see what's up, then unrestore. (Maybe titanium backup?)
If his phone is rooted you can easily do it with the app called undelete.
Im a parent I get it. But I think you're going to far and invading their privacy which will cause he or she to rebel big time once they find out...and make no mistake your kid will find out.

Protecting you child by giving him no privacy...
Besides if he wants to hind something from you he will, your options have been given, but then again he could prevent any of them if he wanted or just delete messages as soon as he has got them so at the most you get a couple
Hey guys, don't assume anything about the OP's reasons for asking the question.
Maybe his son has had bad habits or "friends" that no "real parents" would like their sons to ever meet.
He asked a technical question (giving the reason why and he could have just asked the question "as is", which would be my advice for any of such question in the future) and if you don't want to answer it because you think it's "bad", well, don't answer it, but please, keep your remarks for yourself.
If you want to discuss about parenthood and the like, there are forums dedicated to such subject. xda is a technical site, so let's keep it technical)
The nandroid backup is a good idea .
Another one
If your career allows you to get your messages, sms, mms, and even voice mail by email (in some unified messaging system or even with IMAP), you could use that. Usually, the messages are NOT deleted from the messaging server when they are deleted from the phone.
My own career provides such a service.
I think we are done here.
Thanks.
I'm looking for an Android app, browser or browser add-on..etc to block porn ...that's the only feature I'm looking for ...ANY ideas, tips..etc will be appreciated ...
2 notes:
1- i want to be able to run professional apps at the same time with no restrictions ..
2- I'm not rooted because my Verizon Note4 has no root yet
This make me laugh!!!
Could you please explain exactly why you need a porn blocking app?
Try fingerprint protection
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rickclephas.fingersecurity
All you need is your fingerprint to secure any app and playstore, so nobody can browse the Internet or install another browser
This should be 100% save and only works with devices with fingerprint sensor like Note 4!
Next way is explained on this YouTube video
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ngLf2S8WPi0
But the fingerprint app is the best way in my opinion.
Probably a misbehaving boyfriend

What should stop "you or your boy" to install another porn viewer on your Smartphone, so you need something like a child protection.
Or a better Password for the phone.

Im having a doubt that my smartphone is being keylogged by this thing called mobilespy android keylogger. Everyone is watching everything I do with my smartphone including the photos I take and save, facebook and whatsapp messages( both incoming and outgoing) and even the music I hear. My friends are responding to whatever I do by uploading photos in fb, whatsapp and through status updates in both. I dont want to get rid of this keylogging. I just want to get the details of this keylogging like whoever it is senting to and any proof to show them. Because I want to catch them red-handed. Please help!!
I posted about this issue in xda several months ago, but this thing called mobilespy never came to my mind. Thats why Im asking. Also, I want to know this thing works in safe mode too? Please help!
Help me!
It is hard to tell since some mobile spy app like mobile spy, spyfone app and iKeyMonitor are totally invisible. But you can restore your phone to get rid of such apps if you suspect it.

Here is my professional advice based on several facts:
You joined XDA in October 2014; posted four messages about being spied on and keylogged on Android; have had and continue to have numerous issues being hacked/taken over; you use firewall and other android apps to no avail; all other non android equipment works fine for you. So, Android is "definitely" the culprit.
Here is the advice: ask for a raise from Mr. Cook or better have him make you the chief of Apple's propaganda department...

Dont let your afraidness take you over!
Go and make a factory reset of your phone.
Next time buy a blackphone and you and your mind have peace...
All the best!
