No help, but I have the same on ICS Elegancia 2.1.1 on my Sensation, but it is only xda-developers notifications that are blank. This only happened on this ROM and the 2.1.0 before it. Both have Sense 3.6, but this is an odd phenomenon...

I have spent the last half hour searching for this, but have not been able to find the same issue described...
I am aware that there are "problems" with the Microsoft Facebook application, but have been doing the log out/log in thing to use it (that is annoying). I have been happily updating data & commenting on posts this way. However, until today I was unaware that I could not post status updates via this application.
"No problem" I thought " I will update via HTC Sense" (the "me" entry in contacts). When I try this, it will show on the "me" contact as if it has worked. But on checking FB, it has not pushed the update through. I have tried this a few times, but no joy.
Is anyone else experiencing problems updating status via HTC Sense? This is a big let down that the two main FB methods are no longer working.
Any info on this, if available, would be greatly appreciated.
FYI, this is on HTC Touch HD (Blackstone) running EnergyROM 6.5 with Sense 2.5.
Strange...mine used to work...now it suddenly doesnt....sommit wrong on facebooks api side???
Ok my Desire S is up and running now but one thing I'm having an issue with is connecting to my work email. It looks as though the included HTC email app isn't compatible with our exchange server so I was wondering if it's possible to install the default Gingerbread email app (as I hear this works very well with exchange now).
Is this possible to do on a S-on Desire S? I've had some joy with K-9 email but I'd prefer to use the Android default app if possible.

Just installed it on my Desire S, it installs fine but having problems conecting to server, you do get manual options so it could be me doing something wrong.
Will keep trying and post back if sucsesful
HTC email works fine with my exchange work email.
Got it working, bit of an odd one, it required me to change my password at work before it would connect. Not sure if something was wrong on works' side or if the Android mail app doesn't like certain chars in passwords? Odd either way.
Hi, I'm running a custom Rom arhd 4.1.8 with sense 3.5 and everything works great EXCEPT facebook for HTC sense. It won't even show up in the accounts and sync list. I tried downloading the actual .apk file, installing it, moving it to /system/apps, fixing permissions and restarting to no avail. I have tried removing my HTC account from facebook hoping that would "restart" it somehow.
Has anyone heard of this issue before? It really is a minor.nuisance because the regular facebook account syncs fine butttttt it was annoying the hell out of me that my pictures and statuses aren't coming up when I look through people and when they call me.
Oh, btw, it works fine on previous versions of arhd. I think it might be an issue with sense 3.5 but, I'm no expert.
Don't fret it's there but hides itself behind the official Facebook app. Just sign in using the official Facebook app. The Sense version will pop up immediately and ask for permission to access your Facebook account.

Thanks for responding. I did know that already though haha. that's actually the problem. When I choose to sync my facebook account, it will pop up a facebook window after I hit "sync" and it looks as though its going to authorize faceboock for HTC but for some retarded reason, it exits out and an error notification appears in my notification bar saying "you need to authorize facebook for htc sense. And I'm like "wtf!!! It is authorized because I checked on facebook.com and its listed in my apps!!!
So the problem probably lies in the actual authorization phase of syncing. It's really getting on my nerves. I don't understand why it would work for sense 3.0 Roms but not 3.5. I just installed insertcoin hoping for different results but the same damn thing keeps happening.
Anybody else have an answer???
It just works fine for me.

Okay, either I'm an idiot, or it fixed itself. Either way, I'm happy!!! Haha problem solved.
I'm having a rather odd problem, whenever my friend and I are replying back and forth over email,
the bottom of the email keeps turning into a complete gibberish slab of what seems to be Chinese/Japanese.
The last reply shows fine, but the ones before it are garbled.
I'm running ICS on an asus transformer prime, not rooted and using stock email app.
I have one hotmail account (used to correspond with my friend) and one gmail account on it.
Id gladly supply more info if requested.
Anyone have any clue as to what on earth is going on?

Are you using the "stock email app" which means the "Email" app (as opposed to the Gmail app)?
Yessum, the standard email app, not the gmail one.
Ive done some tests to try and replicate the problem, to no avail.
Ive emailed myself from one account to another and replied back and forth about 10 times,
but I can not get it to "chinesify" the older replies lower down the email.
So im not sure exactly where this weird corrupted crud is coming from.
My friend describes it as "there are a buncha blocks at the bottom",
I assume its the same Chinese im seeing except he is missing the font for it.
If theres another good email app (with widget/alerting!) that would solve this,
id gladly give it a spin since in my opinion the standard one isn't all that amazing.
People mention K-9 but that seems to be very phone oriented, not at all for tablets.
Hello,
I've got the new HTC Sensation system update with Android 4.0 and HTC Sense 3.6. Everything works well but I have one problem:
After I select multiple emails for delete and open one email, all mails are deselected again.
I am sure that this was not before.
Does anybody know how I can solve this problem?
