Hi all,
Apologies for not posting this in the development thread but I've not reached 10 posts yet!
Have installed Reaper 1.2 over 1.1 (wiped cache and dalvik cache) and I'm now getting a force close when trying to open OC/UV Beater. Was working fine in Reaper 1.1.
Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, could you feed this info back into the development thread please?
Another superb ROM from Lowveld, can't recommend it highly enough
Cheers,
Dave.

I'm aware of it, and will probably get to it, but it's not a priority. By the way, it's the app fault, but as the author released the source code, I'll try to fix it.
Cheers

Excellent, thanks for confirming. If I get time I may even try to fix the app myself - I'll let you know if I do

Feel free to do it mate, it's boring as hell. The problem is in OCUVBeater2Activity.java, arrays hardcoded to 40, this needs to be more, like 60. Then all the initializations have to be done for the new positions, and references in /layout/main.xml created.
Not hard, but time consuming. I'll eventually do it myself it noone chips in.
Cheers
---- EDIT ----
Nevermind, I fixed it myself. You can find it on post #2 of Reaper thread.
Hehe, was just getting round to looking at the code - you are too quick!
Thanks very much
Cheers,
Dave.

Got it installed on my g1. runs great, very nice rom! however i haven't changed roms in quite a while so i'm curious about something. do the roms released these days have the things built in like 'apps2sd', etc? i'm curious as my browser cache seems to be going to my internal memory.
i had an app when i ran cynanogen's mod but i can't for the life of me remember what it was. it pretty much moved everything to my sd card(browser cache, etc)..
can someone clarify these things for me please?

its understandable that every topic doesnt need a thread but if u just answer the question then the thread can stop and mods can close it

YOU DEFINITELY SPELLED DEFINITELY WRONG. People like you certainly represent the masses in this forum these days. People like you are also the reason this forum is turning to ****. ****ing asshole...
At first I want to answer you cause i´m a lovely person
First things first: there are no 3.0 roms!
So what du you want? you want a stable full funktional rom thats up2date?
Than use SuperD
or CyanogenMod
both have what you want but both are Donut roms!
If you like more experimental with less speed and less stability test the 2.1 Roms on your own i´ve tested only 3 SuperEclair, Complete Eclair and OpenEclair but for me all are to slow so i went back to SuperD
And please read the Rules
BTW

Ill say it also, we are serious because you are clogging a DEVELOPMENT forum with basic end-user questions (thats what the Q&A forum is for)
CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE WIKI
Its starting to get a little cluttered in these forums, and I'm seeing more and more threads asking what ROMs/Kernels are available, so I figured we should start a Sticky Wiki. It has worked well in other forums, but everyone needs to get on board and update it. Please list all notable contributions in the wiki. This is a much more convenient alternative to sticky posts!
Those of you who cook ROMs and kernels, please remember to update this when you release new versions. It'll make life easier for everyone here.

I'm not a mod, and I didn't keep up to date on the drama surrounding that ROM. But I feel it's safe to say that the same rules apply to the wiki as they do to the forums, so if for whatever reason a mod didn't allow something on the forums it wouldn't be allowed on the wiki either.
From what I understand, Baked Snack is allowed here, but only for the publicly released versions. No advertising for future versions or when it requires donations to get access.
actually..

i think thats more or less the gist, in regards to baked, since he wants to charge money for advanced copies(betas as it were) and others seem to be posting on his behalf.(bringin it up every now and again.)
I honestly, despite thinking that hero is a decent guy, think this type of donation generation is abhorrent.

That it does, if only Herver would let us fans know when he's going to release the next version, he is currently MIA lol.
I just added all of the themes available here to a nice wikitable so if anyone has any suggestions let me know
No CM6? Anyone heard anything from Cyanogen about Epic 4g support for CM6?
Noobnl is working on it, its running but its not yet for the masses. Thread.
If we could get boot animations that the community makes linked there as well that would be nice. I would link some myself, but I have no idea where to find any. Because I'm currently running the extreme kernel with epic experience and emotionless beast and my bootup sequence is just straight up dumb.
This wiki is extremely helpful! Thanks!!!
This wiki alone has saved my phone over 5 times.. Thanks for it.
* MODS PLEASE CONSIDER *
First off I'm Posting this in Q & A because this is where I Waste ALOT of My Time Trying to Help people, to Later just Find out that their Problem has Already been Solved!
Lol...
I Can't even Count the number of threads I read from day to day from users that need Help of some sort with their phones, and that's No Problem! After all that's one of the many Purposes of XDA...
But anyways, after seeing how Useful the [Thanks Button] turned out I've been thinking why Not Add a [Solved Button] Also? This way people like me Won't try to Help Users that No Longer Need Help!!
I mean it'll Save Space and Time Both! If this was Posted somewhere else I Apologize, but I Haven't come Across it!
I Really think this may also Help the Mods Close some of the Dead Threads that are No Longer being used!
Please Give Feedback...
Thank You!
+1 I like to waste time trolling and helping people solve there issues and I agree a solved button would be very handy, or even force a rule saying that once a problem is solved the op must put [SOLVED] before the thread title

Thanx for the Positive Comment!
Hopefully if enough people respond to My thread, and Also Voice their Request for a Much Needed Upgrade, Just Maybe XDA "MIGHT" Add some sort of a [Solved Button] or at Least Something Similar to the Same Effect to make All our lives Easier!
This would be a great enhancement as stated above. As what I've used the Ubuntu forums where this is used, it also makes it a lot easier to search for solutions when you have the same kind/type of problem, because you can easily see if the thread OP has got it solved and you so could have better chances to find the fix there than somewhere else.

I'm gonna stick this in here to save creating another thread,
Would it be possible to add the thanks button aswell as the solved in the xda app?
Is this already a feature un.the premium? Thanks

As far as I'm Aware of it Isn't a Feature!
And If it Is... Somebody Please Show me and Everyone else How the Hell it Works so i can put it to use and Stop Wasting my time reading Questions that Already Have Answers! Lol...
I agree with Unksi especially that it make it easier when searching for answers which should bring down the number of new threads if people use the search properly

Lurkers of the Gtab community. As many of you know there is an ICS rom available elsewhere. I would like to bring this rom to XDA also but am pretty busy to keep up on all the support that will go along with it. If you are an avid lurker on these forums please shoot me a pm. I need a few people to help answer questions as they pop up in the thread. Thanks for your help. ICS will be available on XDA shortly.
ps: sorry, this is kinda a random post here. but it is "general" and about the "gtab."
I am currently running the newly developed ICS on my gtab. All I can say is it runs pretty smooth, but could use a OC kernel. I now the kernel had issues, but will wait on a OC one. First for starting this reply is if you decide to do this to your tablet. follow this man's instructions to the T. You will not regret it. HD video works great.... wait awesome. I did install set CPU in order to raise the min. to 456 to get some minor bugs issued. Will post if any issues doing this. I still get the once in awhile battery shut down, but I reboot back into CWM and clear cache and battery stats and all is well. It only seems to happen after first boot up after fully charging of the tablet. I use my tablet as a daily user so if there is going to be a issue I will keep you updated. Thank you very much for such a great updated firmware. This tablet ROCKS.

How do I get my B2R script stickied here? Its got 6K+ hits and I think its justified. People shouldn't have to dig for it, and its moving down the list after the final release as the thread is dying to completion.

Hey mate,
Thanks for the tip but @MartyHulskemper was nice enough to PM them for me. I'm sure his voice will add some clout. Hopefully they will accept the request. When this project is done I want to rest easy knowing I can "walk away" and users can easily find this tool without me having to maintain its visibility by continually bumping it up the ladder. I think your suggestion of moving it elsewhere might be a good idea, although the word is out that it can be found here and that may break stride and throw a wrench into viva voce communications, especially for people that have difficulty navigating and searching the forum. And without a second sticky here linking to the dev thread, it could represent equivalently the same problem. Also since the thread for "B2R doesn't work in JB 4.2" is here, I think they pair together (problem/solution). At this point I leave that decision to the mods and will gladly take the adhesive any way I can get it.
Slightly off topic, but please be aware that there is a typo for UC HD in the latest script release. Recently a user brought it to my attention. It should be browser not brower. I will fix it in the next (final) release.
Ah, I see the thumbtack. Wonderful, thanks Mods!! Resting easy now...
Hey, solved is solved, no matter how you arrive at the solution. Keep up the good work! :good:
