I have a problem!
I installed sony style rom on my U20i!
But when I switch on my phone I get up and stuck sonyericsson logo!
The fact is that I did not build back up my firmware!
And now I can only go xrecovery!
Please help!
I am from the Latvian!
And I'm Newbie!

Before update, have You verified that Your phone has:
- 2.1.1.A.0.6 SE firmware
- Baseband: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015
?
If yes, now we have to restart Your mimmi...

I am using Sony ericsson W8 with os Android 2.1 official ROM
Steps i have already followed:
1.I've Rooted mySE W8 sucessfully using superone click
2.Sucessfully installed busy box and root explorer in my phone
3.After that i've installed xrecovery v1.10 using root explorer
4.Backed up my current official ROM using xrecovery
Problem:
I cannot find a stable infact any customized android 2.2 rom for my phone to install using xrecovery.
I tried one cyanogen 2.2 rom made for SE X8
But it didn't worked on my cell.
Info. Required :
about a Stable 2.2 or 2.3 rom for SE W8.

u have to check for ur baseband version...like x8,only the version end with xxx.xxx015 will works..
Yes my phone's baseband ersion ends with XXXXX-XXXXXXXXX-XXXXXX15
Custom Rom for sony ericsson w8
is there a custom rom 2.2 or 2.3 that is compatible to use with Sony Ericsson W8, Ive tried some X8 rom but didnt work... hope you guys can help me for a working 2.2 or 2.3 rom for SE W8 thanks in advance...
Hello XDA comunity. I am a total noob with rooting flashing and stuff. So I want to go back to gingerbread from ICS on my Xperia Neo V. I bought it at January 13 2012......When it came out from the box it had 2.3.4 android. I don't know which firmare it was on it when it came out. I Want to put the Cyanogen mod 9.0 Os to my Sony Ericsson Xperia mini ST15i device.
I have dowmloaded the latest stable smultron build from Cyanogen mod website.
And have installed with the help of Recoverymode options. But it is not installed properly and device getting restart again and again .
Have tried with the other versions whichis available in the cyanogen mod device builds list.
but nothing is worked correctly.
7.0 version os is ot at all moving from boot animation. i have left for more thatn one hours
its not chnaged the screen from that animated page.
Please advice me to put the latest Cyanogen mod build into the sony xperia mini device.

i liked the Honamifity ROM for my SONY Xperia P. As i told earlier that im a newbie, i needed help in rooting nd flashing my phone.
First of all i needed a list of all the softwares that i will have to download according to my firmware version 6.2.A.1.100. I wanted to know if i'll have to put a new Kernel into my phone. The details of my phone are as follows:

1.downgrade only of the "18.1.A.1.14" kernel (use flashtool)
2.get root (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2775810)
3.upgrade only of the "18.1.A.1.17" kernel (use flashtool)
