[Q] HELP - device not found (rooting)

I've spent nearly 5hours today attempting to root my HTC INSPIRE 4G... with no luck. I've tried a few different methods.. all fail.
Please guide me!
I tried the Hack Kit... also Visionary(never able to install it because it says its blocked for secuirity reasons) - i even tried with apk commands via my PC.. but problem is....
when i get to few steps in to whatever method i try... i get ERROR: Device not found. if i do adb devices: i get nothing in return. Ive installed htc sync... android sdk. idk what else to do.
I was able to get my mmc2 number and make my goldcard... then copy paste the info from my goldcard to the 000-170 of the SD card. but after that i get stuck. Supposebly I need to downgrade as next step.. however the hackerize command yields (device not found)
any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
thanks.

[Q] Samsung Epic 4G ROM install question-- rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin

Hi, I keep getting this message when trying to run the oneclickroot:
rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin is missing... make sure you extracted the zip archive correctly...
I have searched all over the internet and found very little regarding this issue. Someone posted a link on one of the forums here that did not work because windows did not recognize it.
Does anyone know how to fix this so that I can install a custom ROM on my Epic?
Thanks so much.

Need some help please, please

Ok so my first M8 died so I had to get another one. This one came with 1.55.605.2 out of the box. Baseband 0.89.20.0321. The issue I am having is that every time I try and s-off it just sits there adding dashes at the bottom after I type yes and the message saying if Firewater hangs for more than 2 minutes...I have searched and haven't been able to find a solution. I did see where someone said to export the firewater file from his dropbox into the local folder and in adb start at the adb shell step. Did that or so I thought and that didn't work either. Maybe I'm not extracting the file as all I'm doing is downloading it and then copying and pasting. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I apologize if this has been asked before. I searched as much as I could and could not find a definitive answer. Thanks to everyone on XDA.

You are typing yes with a capital y, correct? The root method is the same on the later OTA so some of the basic trouble shooting methods will still work like re downloading and resetting ya da ya da ya :good:

Bootloop Huawei Ascend p6

I have looked through a lot of posts but still have not found the answer. I am sorry if this is the wrong section but i am a little bit new to the forum. So what i did is I rooted my huawei with eroot and once that worked I started installing TWRP with the app flashify. I have used this app many times and it worked perfectly but this time i guess not. adb does not see the phone and I am not sure how this fastboot thing works but i am guessing you have to enable this too. So My recovery doesn't work and the only thing i can see is this http:**imgur.com*jBKdlXY (replace astrikses with slashes plz ) is it still possible to acces fastboot or do I have to do a hard reset some way. Someone please help me!
kind regards,
Coen van D.
