I flashed my HTC Hero with the Elelinux rom, which is based on the CyanogenMod. One of the reasons for me to root and flash a new rom was to get a Bluetooth keyboard to work with my phone. Sadly, I dont get my bluetooth HID keyboard to work, even trough Cyanogen supposedly supports Bluetooth HID. I tried the app Blueimput in order to help things, but this doesn't seem to work either.
I really would like to have this on my HTC Hero, so therefore my question is:
Does anyone know a rom, radio, app or a combination of the latter to make my bluetooth keyboard interact successfully with my HTC Hero?
Has anyone else noticed that updating to 2.3.5 and sense 3 has changed the bluetooth version.
Before the update, m bluetooth version was 2.1, now after the update if i look in the same place (settings, ,about phone, hardware information), it says bluetooth version is 3.0. How is this possible? is this just a mistake or can the software actually upgrade the version of bluetooth that the phone uses, i would have assumed that this was limited by the hardware itself.
BT 3.0
Actually it is possible because the software controls the chip. I did the upgrade to 2.3.5/sense 3 and indeed the BT upgrades from 2.1 to 3.0.
Have you tried any transfers?...cause' you'll probably feel the differences. Although the bt 3.0 is a bit of exaggeration as long as the bt chip was designed to support 2.1. That makes me think that the improvements are made exclusively via software. So if you'll transfer a file from your phone to another device lower than 3.0 the transfer will like in 2.1. You can compare the power of the new improvement only when you send/receive files with a compatible 3.0 BT.
Hope you'll understand my english and my explanation was useful to you.
cheers
What I'm looking for is a custom ROM that will let my Infuse 4g connect to a Wiimote so I can use it for emulators. I've tried CM7.2, and it allows the connection, but the bluetooth connections to headphones and speakers is completely awful. I use bluetooth all the time so this doesn't work. I've also tried Zeus and R3velation too, and the bluetooth works fine, but they can't connect a Wiimote. I read somewhere that it has something to do with the bluetooth stack, but I honestly don't know what that means.
Does anybody know of a custom ROM that has working bluetooth audio and the proper stack to allow Wiimote connection?
Of course it needs to be stable and have the basic functionalities.
Thanks for any help!
I am sorry to say that our phones biggest weakness seem to be the bluetooth as I wanated to do this also and it did not work. I even brought a small bluetooth keyboard to try to do the same thing and I could not get it to work.
Hi,
Has anyone checked if Android 5.0 fixes the bluetooth connectivity issue with Wiimotes? Really wanted to use the Wiimote with my phone, but havent been able to since 4.2..., and I have not got the 5.0 update yet.
Further, if I could change the Wiimote controller, what would I need to change to make it compatible with Android for pairing?
Not an expert! Can follow instructions though. Pls help!
Changing The Wiimote to enable Android Pairing
Can get the changed wiimote manufactured from some chinese contractor surely..
Hi, I bought a nice Logitech Bluetooth keyboard (y-x5a77) and tried to pair it with An Android stick with Android 4.2.2 but Android didnt even see the Logitech device. Then tried with Android 5.0.1 and got same problem! I know the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard is working , because it directly connected with other OS like IOS and Windows. A phone does work with Bluetooth pairing with my Android stick, but with keyboard it gave troubles.
How can I fix this Bluetooth problem in Android? I have root access.
