Hey guys. I have been having tons of trouble getting hdmi out to work on eos builds. Could anyone tell me which apk controls this function? Thanks!

I don't think an apk can fix it, Can i make a suggestion to you, try the MY 4.2.1 rom it is by far the best 4.2.1 rom of the three xoom roms.
Flashed the "official" ICS V28b and everything is working fine until now... except HDMI. I get the picture but no sound. If I play a video I don't get any sound even the speaker of my phone are silent. Any ideas about this? It worked fine with GB...

tried iodaks kernel ver 1.1 and it doesnt work on my p920 official ics. didnt work either with stock kernel. on the GB i always had sound problems. the sound was cutted every 20 seconds.
any FIX for this? could it be the cable?
No sound here either. Custom or stock kernel on xbsall's rom.. What could be the problem?
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
you think it might be the cable? are there diferent qualities?
i bought a small adaptor that converts normal hdmi to micro hdmi. on official gingerbread i had sound problems already
UPDATE!!!!!!!!
i tryed the same adaptor mentioned on the up post but on a diferent TV with a DIFERENT CABLE.WORKED PERFECT!!!!
so we are down to 2 options:
1- the problem is your cable (in my opinion the most likely)
2- the problem is your TV ( mine is a sony bravia full hd and the one that worked is a small samsung so i dought about that one but its possible)
i also tested hdmi on a samsung tv which used to work ok with ported v30b and now there was no sound but i didnt have the chance to play more.
official lg cable was used , so it looks like the problem is version specific.
Send from my XBSA ICS V7.2 P920.

image works good. i can only try that next week. its a sony bravia kdl arround 30 inches and its 3yo. ill check the full model later
i got this problem too, then i reboot the phone, and play a video first, while the speaker working well, then i plug the HDMI cable quickly, and the sound comes back!
i don't use the hdmi cable that much, but still i am glad the hdmi works again in ics! ^_^
and is anybody know how to find out the tv is supporting hdmi 1.3 or 1.4?
Same as lw_wl. No sound, unplug cable, play movie, plug in cable while movie playing and sound works.

The My android rom is by far the most stable and bug free of all 4.2.2.
id argue project orca is more bug free, and equally as smooth, with more features
EOS

does it feel smoother?faster?
Im on EOS and its ok, its been faster before 4.2.2 but it does its job, just slow 3g /wifi reconnecting and USB mounting causes restart, which is annoying...

BlackBean 8 gets my vote :good:
I gave my aunt my Xoom with CM10.1 nightlies worked awesome for me! I had less issues with 10.1 nightlies than I did during the final 10.0 nightlies released for Xoom.

Hello XOOMERS! :highfive:
I just rooted my Motorola XOOM 3G Version - MZ601 (Named as Everest, correct me if I'm wrong!) Running on ICS 4.0.4.
The reason i rooted my device was to overclock so that some games don't lag on it,also i wanted to try Jellybean custom rom if available for my model.
Please provide the link for a stable jellybean rom for MZ601 Everest XOOM and also advice on which kernel to flash with.
I would be really glad if someone could help me
Hi new rooted Xoomer! Glad to see you here .
There are some good ROMs out there, my favs are CM10.1 and EOS4. But you can try some others . In the second post of my FAQ (Sticky in Q&A) I covered up most of Xoom ROMs out, hope you can find one really suitable for your needs.
Happy flashing .
~Lord

I only flashed it using the recovery of tiamat.. Those were CM 10.1 and a gapps.. Thats all...
I'm running CM 10.1 and it is very stable for me. Maybe a bad flash. Did you try doing a fresh install of the ROM after wiping your XOOM?

MZ601 is Everest, but if you dont use the 3g (sim card) connection, Wingray will also work.
Everest (MZ601) = 3g + WiFi
Wingray (MZ604) = WiFi only
