I've a problem to use my hands free car kit (VW Golf 6 / RNS 510 / Premium hands free car kit) with the ROM virtuous quattro
I cannot connect my phone with bluetooth. It worked until now with every ROM I've used so far: Stock, MIUI, ICS Beta
Any idea?
Sometimes a ROM will just not work with a particular BT set. I found this with the recent MIUI builds (although Galnet MIUI works perfectly). The only real solution is to use a different ROM that works right with your kit and wait for Virtuous to release another version to try instead.
If I remember right the only way to connect in Premium status is rSAP. Is rSAP now implemented in ICS?
I'm using the rSAP solution for HTC phones bought in market. Works fine with Skoda Radio. (which is the same as in Your car I think)

I have a 2004 BMW 3series with an integrated bluetooth carkit. Unfortunately I cannot get the connection with my HTC s740 working. The phone recognizes the car and connects. But not vice versa. The dealer thinks the software in the HTC is too advanced. Does anyone have any suggestions? Can I downgrade the bluetooth software of the phone? In my former car I had a Parrot which worked perfectly with the HTC. Unfortunately I sold the Parrot with the car.
Thanks for helping me out!
What rom are you using?
I have an issue with my HD and TOuch Cruise on 6.1, although using 6.5 on my Cruise works fine??
It is reported that cooked 6.1 roms dont like connecting to car bluetooth kits.
Im still looking for a solution to this, probably to do with bluetooth stack/drivers.
bluetooth problems HTC s740 to BMW
If you mean the ROM of my HTC, it is. 5.2(.20279.20279). It is a 2008 smartphone.
Do I need to upgrade the phone?
lol is that a cooked rom or stock? if cooked, see this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=519676
I know its not much help, but you will appreciate that things are happening.
To be honest; I have no idea what you mean. What is the difference, and how I am I about to know. I didn't change anything on the phone, after buying it........
Hey bro,
If you have no idea what rom you are using, u will be using stock rom.
Stock = offical HTC rome included with device.
Cooked = another/different rom, not originally intended for use on ur device, or provided by HTC. A cooked rom has been "altered" to work on ur device. They work better and faster and provide more functionality than stock roms.............
It would appear that bluetooth is a problem with all 6.1 roms (cooked or stock!!)
ok, time to complain to HTC (for what good it wil make)
I may merge these threads into one, as they are related.
Hello folks, I am 1 week old in this android world, I just installed Honeycomb 3.0, which is awesomely over the top except for ONE thing,,,,, my stereo Bluetooth headphones that worked perfectly on android froyo 2.2 don't work in honeycomb. They are recognezed, paired and connected but no audio would ever come out!!!
Please help me, I don't wanna give up on m Booth headphones and return to the cable stone age and I don't want to go back to froyo either.
Take care!!!
I have the same issue with my Desire S. Connection but no audio. I contacted HTC about it and they say the bluetooth setup is different to previous phones so I should contact the makers of my bluetooth device to get an upgrade of their firmware.
Would it not be possible to extract the software relating to bluetooth from an older ROM?
Would it work?
Honeycomb 3.x
can someone please tell me where i can find the image for Honeycomb 3.x for my Superpad 2 / Flytouch 3 tablet. i have been looking everywhere and all i find is the skd on android.com's site. i dont know anything about sdk's or how to get it on the tablet... thanks in advance if you are able to provide me with this information
There was this topic:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1206326
But this:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscompatibilitychecker
Says it's incompatible with the Infuse 4G.
This is just the checker, and I would assume that you could at least download the checker to see if it's compatible... or is the fact you CAN'T download it the check itself? Strange~
Also, this is kind of a +1 for adding PS3 Controller compatibility, or if anyone knows of an alternative for the Infuse 4G.
I hope it works,it would be cool
Not compatible with ANY GalaxyS (or similar) phone. Also not compatible with any HTC Sense phone.
Both Samsung and HTC break the Bluetooth stack in the official firmwares. In fact the general rule (with the Galaxy Tab 10.1 being the only exception) is: If it runs Sense or TouchWiz, it won't work.
Cyanogenmod ports have a fully functional Bluetooth stack (when they have one that works at all - Bluetooth is completely missing from LinuxBozo's CM7 port so far)
I have not yet seen an example of someone "un-breaking" the Bluetooth stack in a stock-based firmware - only in full-blown AOSP/Cyanogenmod ports.

Wish it was as simple as taking a folder called "Bluetooth" from one phone and just slapping it into the Infuse. Oh well, patience then.
Can anyone recommend a ROM with AVRCP 1.3 or greater for the HTC Inspire? I would prefer an HTC Sense ROM, but I'm willing to consider just a plain ROM.
What is AVRCP?
Sent from my Inspired DesireHD
:AVRCP is the standard that describes the information sent by the phone while playing music and connected to a Bluetooth device. It also describes how the Bluetooth device can control the music player.
Technically AVRCP 1.3 doesn't even exist in the AOSP master branch yet. There are more than a few people complaining about it. A few weeks ago I was looking for a similar sense rom with 1.3 and the results were less than satisfactory. Though anything based on CM should have support for it.

Just bought a car with Bluetooth support. At least I thought it did. It turns out that Volkswagen premium Bluetooth needs a phone with rSAP (remote-SIM-Access-Profile). Unfortunately the nexus doesn't support this, so I was wondering if there is a custom rom like cyanogenmod that supports this.
If it helps, it's the RNS 510 radio from 2008.
I know the TREX Rom has RSAP support, Purity Rom should have this included, too. I had the same problem with my Opel Insignia.
But im looking for a Rom with Theme Chooser support and RSAP support.
Anyone have an idea? Trex Rom isnt designed for me
