Why don't you try it at the specific rom section? Guess you can get there better results! AFAIK CM has an own homepage. Try it out. I'm not allowed to post URL-Links

I am very excited about CM9 and can't wait for a stable version of the rom. I'm guessing it won't be too long now until it is here.

CM9 has a own thread i think. It's still in development. A great System don't fall from the sky...

Im running the still beta on my desire from the desire forum here at xda and its the best android experience ive had so far. Never has my phone been this smooth and fast. And it seems pretty stable already too. So the future looks bright indeed.

Yes, cyanogenmod has their own website, but for a while now they haven't posted any updates on a stable build being released. You can find the beta if you do a google search though.

@appadict, you have not mentioned your handset model.

HTC Sprint Hero Roms and themes

I have rooted my phone and cannot seem to find any stable 2.2 roms and rom manager(which I bought) has only 1 2.1 rom. its call BUUF and it isnt to my taste of looks. Any suggestions and or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Well, just about everything in the ROM Development section is stable now. You can pick whatever you would like. 2.1 has been out long enough now that our great developers have made many great custom roms. And Darchstar has been working on his Heroc version of Cyanogenmod (2.2) for quite a while as well. I'm running that personally, and it works better than anything I've run in the last (almost) year.

The Cynoogen 2.2 Extreme Blue has been extremely stable for me in fact I would say it's more stable and faster than the Sprint 2.1. Best Rom I've found by far

[Q] DevNull or Oxygen or blandroid on Desire S

sorry if this is in the wrong section.
So now that we've got all these ROMs under dev for the Saga, I'm looking for a close to vanilla experience as possible on my Saga (I know its weird, considering I have a nexus s for that).
I sort of want to see how this would run without all the weight on it.
which one would be the best candidate?
Do some research here mate: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1146601
found it. thanks!

hmmm... looks like none of them are very vanilla at the mo. guess I'll have to wait a few more weeks.

The most vanilla ROM that is fully working is CM7.
I have started a port of Oxygen ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1235864
It's not for daily use yet. It's still in alpha stage. I really hope that within some days/weeks we'll figure it out.

we need kernel source. After that it will be just a matter of time. The International HOX also shares a chipset with the Nexus 7 so that helps

Any news on getting that kernel source?
I'm assuming that we wont have full AOSP roms until we have that source?
Any news on getting S-OFF?
Man, I really cant stand sense anymore

Have you tried the CM9 ROM in development or the AOKP ROM over on Rootzwiki? They are both functional enough to be used as a daily driver.
Why do we need S-off? We can already do basically everything through recovery without it. Would it be nice to have, sure I guess, but definitely not needed.
Kernel source will be released. Could be soon, could be September. We don't know when. But it will be released. Once it is available we will have answers.

yea s-off isn't needed, but nice to have.
i've been following the cm9 thread, and it seems great but ive been using my camcorder almost non-stop and i'll miss it for sure
I saw on one of the threads for either MIUI or CM9 but I don't remember which that someone got the camcorder working? I have the file in my download folder on my phone but I haven't tried it yet. I'm just keeping it for if and when I decide to try out MIUI or CM9.
I loaded an unofficial CM9 Alpha 5 ROM on my North American HTC One X and the camera worked, although nowhere near as good as the camera app in the stock HOX software. Camcoder was flaky and crashed periodically. A video I posted on YouTube circa 4:50 has a demo of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPi8a5SvJvQ.
If interested, the build I loaded was the alpha5 in the thread "[ROM][WIP] Unofficial CM9 Port - Alpha 5" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688448. Beware of rapid battery drain if you choose to load this alpha5 build I recommend taking 30 minutes and reading through the thread prior to flashing this ROM for details.
Note, however, that this ROM is based off Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich), not 4.1 (Jelly Bean), so this discussion might be a little off topic for this thread

I'm using it right now, had no problems with it so far :good: everything works, accept you have to install gapps for ICS to get Playstore and stuff, which CM9 doesn't have when you flash it :L

Kernel?
Sorry, noob question - currently running AOKP and Faux kernel.
Does the stable CM9 include kernel in the zip? Can I just wipe and flash?

stock android, cm9, cm10 info?

Hi all.
I am interested in running a vanilla ICS or JB rom on this phone, and CM9 or CM10 will also do. Where can I find information on builds for this phone? Cyanogenmod does not have it under their "supported" devices....
There is a whole forum containing what you are looking for: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1726
Yes I am aware of that forum, but I posted here because it was a "question"...?
My confusion is that there seem to be a ton of forks from cm9/cm10 and I didnt know if there was one that was better than another, or how to go about weeding through them. Its just messy to try and figure out.

There are only 4 options? AOKP ICS, AOKP JB, CM9 and CM10. You can pretty much disregard all the other ones if you're looking for CM based roms. Also, we are officially supported by CM10...Though you should read that forum before downloading and flashing. Some of the unofficial fixes have not been merged yet.

Ok, thanks!
I am reading up on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1790032
which hopefully should give me all the info I need to know.
What are your thoughts on stability/battery life with CM10 or CM9? I am on the fence between this and the S3, and would lean a bit more towards whichever one would get the most stable, updated rom....

CM10 is stable enough for a daily driver as long as you don't rely on your camera/video camera too much (though this may be fixed now, didn't test). However, with nightlies you're always risking flashing a broken build. That's just how the game is played on any device.
