I have a HTC Jetstream (on Rogers in Canada) and want to be able to watch shows on Hulu. I know on my pc I can download hotspotshield and different programs like that. Is there anything that would work for a Tablet?
I have tried location spoofer as it works on my phone to watch NHL games but I cant get hulu (using the web brower) to work as it says its not available in my region.
Any help would be great!!
Cheers,
Really no one can help me with this??

Hi,
I got this phone to watch skysports on the bigger screen, currently sky have a mobile app but only for Iphone.
I have tried watching it via the browser but the opera does not support flash or silverlight, IE for windows mobile supports flash but not silverlight.
So I downloaded and installed skyfire that supports flash and silverlight, but still does not work because it does not support application storage.
So anyone have any ideas how I could watch it, or know a browser with this support?
HTC HD2 on O2 in the UK
Cheers
No one can help or suggest anything?
Not on O2. Only way to get it is the iPhone app.
All other networks provide it via 3G, but O2 have an iPhone contract to fulfil

Did you actually bother to read the post you are supposed to have answered, Dean?
No solution for the Android OS yet, but one is in the pipeline for early 2011.
Anybody have it yet ?.
Hello,
Wondering if I can get some general help, I know the google TV is american only but I like to have some fun as well.
First, I can't download the google TV Remote app on my samsung galaxy i9000, I've tired downloading an .apk but it just didn't work, any suggestion or how to guides on this.
The Google TV works better than I first though it would in canada I can control my PVR some what and I faked an american comcast zip code and the search feature works some what but of course the programming and channel numbers for comcast don't match my Shaw Cable account, is there any way around that, in the settings I noticed it was pulling that info from some file, any idea how to trick it?
Also I am quite disappointed with the way I can't play almost any media files on my computer, the closest I have come is using my playon media service and the m.playon.tv with my lan on the google chrome but its so bad, was getting some Hulu access if I was running my VPN but I kept getting time out errors, worked fine on my phone browser tho. Any suggestions or other programs or ways?
Forgot to add, I am using the Logitech Revue
Thanks
Dave
Bump!/Update
Very much thanks to BluechipJ for sending me the google TV app, worked out great.
So more of the reading I've done seems that this box just doesn't support local media files very well, I've tired a few media servers,
TVersity worked somewhat good, some play back on all files but still couldn't get a great all around experience.
Playon which has been my main media server works the best so far, but only on the mobile side, if you use the browser and go to m.playon.tv and have it setup on your computer you get access to hulu (with VPN) and all your media. Interface is not very good on the m.playon side but it works. Still having problems getting complete hulu playback and have issues with larger MKV files but I had those issues on the PS3 so still have to figure out whats causing it.
If anyone has any other suggestions or experience I'd like to hear some more.
Bump/Update
Just wanted to do one more and see if anyone else had any suggestions, after more reading and trying out some new things finding Twonky is a good media server pick, for both the google tv and your phone.
Whats great about Twonky if they have your Twonky Manger on the computer which Logitech revue will recognize and mainly works in logitech media player, MKV still an issue if you have the right audio code it would work, I've switch to downloading MP4 files as I can still get good quality and it works well.
Also there is Twonky mobile for your phone, works well with the logitech revue as you can play videos music and pictures right from your phone to the TV, the Beam option doesn't work to my knowledge but isn't a big deal to me.
I'm sure lots of people know about Twonky already but it was new to me and worked very well with my Galaxy S and Logitech revue and seems to be a good system, the app is free but Twonky Manger is $20 I think, also works great with a PS3 system as well.
Hope to get some other suggestions or Ideas, kinda weird updating my posts all the time.
Hi
Happy with the Asus but video playback is a little less than I expected. HD youtube videos splutter and will not play smooth in full screen mode. Changed the browser settings to desktop and tried the bbc Iplayer site. Normal definition videos play OK but are poor quality in my opinion. HD just splutter even more badly than tube. Will honeycomb 3.1 solve this problem?
We can all only hope!
Usage outside UK
I really enjoy BBC programming and watch the iPlayer a fair amount on my PC. Now that I got the transformer I thought it might be a good idea to install it, alas seems the app is only available in the UK.
Are other routes available?

Just access to bbc iplayer via the web browser if you have a uk vpn or proxy, it's working fine. No need for the app.
Proxy refused
Don't have a VPN (and don't know how to get one) but I do have Expat Shield that provides a UK IP adress, but Market said; No, no! Can't do that. I suppose I will need a different account setting?
If I'm not mistaken, expat shield is a program to be used on a computer, there is no android version. For a good vpn you should subscribe to a paid service.

Ahh, I thought I could log in to Market from my PC and just send it to the Transformer.
This raises a follow up Q; Is there a good service available for both PC and Android devices? Especially when you have multiple devices.
Hi, there is always get_iplayer and rtmpdump, check out...
infradead(dot)org/get_iplayer/html/get_iplayer
But since the update to 3.2 the stock video player doesn't seem to want to play HD content (SD is fine), I can transcode using handbrake, but on 3.1 they played brilliantly :-(
Now I'm from the UK so I've no need for a VPN for this content so I can't help you with info regarding that, but you might need a setting for get_iplayer get around a verify / sync error, I have the following lines in my 'options' file...
flvstreamer /usr/bin/rtmpdump
rtmptvopts --swfVfy h++p://uuuuuu.bbc.co.uk/emp/10player.swf
rtmpradioopts --swfVfy h++p://uuuuuu.bbc.co.uk/emp/10player.swf
Hope this helps.
anyone able to unlock it on their transformer? i keep inputting my cable provider login to try to unlock, but it wont. wondering if anyone had luck. maybe its the stock browser.
visit http://www.cnn.com/video/ and goto the live tab. click to unlock, and you'll be asked to select your cable provider, then it will ask for login. works fine on PC, and watching other videos are fine, its just unlocking it thats the issue.
I've tried in the stock browser and dolphin. Firefox doesnt work cause of flash.
Let me know if you guys figure it out. Thanks in advance.
anyone figure out a browser that can play cnn live?
i've tried opera, dolphin, firefox, and stock. no luck.
My guess is that it wants to store some sort of cookie that Android handles differently than PCs. Possibly, the login window can't get the info to a cookie (anything involving popups in all of the Android browsers with frames seems to have a 20% chance of working the way it's expected).
The CNN app for Android Tablets doesn't even feature the ability to watch HLN or CNN on air live.
You can watch cnn live with the app for tablet. The video won't work if you have an app that blocks the ads.
Edit : weird, live feed doesn't work anymore.
Hey all,
Before you point me at other threads, I've looked and this is something else.
Right now, I play video through my LG GPad 3 8.3. The video goes to my TV thanks to a cable that converts micro-USB to HDMI. As I live in France, where there's no Netflix (as yet), I'm running a proxy service to show me as in the UK (where there is Netflix). All hunky-dory.
The only blight on this happy scene is the fact that if I want to pause the video, change the volume, add subtitles and so on I need to get off the sofa to do so - what is this? The 1970s?!
What I'd really like is for a remote application on my Moto G to talk to Netflix on the G Pad and communicate my desires to play/pause and so on. Do you guys think that's even possible? To get an app on one device to talk to one on another like that? I don't even know if there's an Android API available for Netflix. Bear in mind, I'm *not* running Netflix from my PC to the TV, I know there are apps for that with servers running on the PC and so on.
Any ideas?
