If you guys want to update to 8107, I have written a post here , You will first get a 7740 Update and then 8107 but you will have to use the unplug the cable hack when it checks for next update. You need an unlocked Windows Phone

right now, Omnia W can't be hacked so you can't side load applications.
You can install lots of free apps from marketplace, directly from your phone.

So far no hacks/unlocks are existing for omnia W (any version). So it's useless to downgrade
I think that's not quite true, nitin88g; the WindowBreak project should be usable on the Omnia W if it doesn't have the KK2 or newer firmware. I would warn you that, in some parts of the world, the 8107 update is also being pushed alon with a Samsung formware update to KK2 or newer, which breaks almost many homebrew hacks including Windowbreak.
There aren't many useful high-privilege (ID_CAP_INTEROPSERVICES) apps that work on the Omnia W yet, because Samsung second-gen phones have some restriction in their drivers. The general non-interop-unlock homebrew apps work fine, though.
@Tushcool: Welcome to XDA-Developers. Please read the sticky threads! You've probably violated at least two of this forum's rules in this thread alone - not a great start in your first 4 posts. A few things to remember:
* Don't spam the board. Ask for something once, maybe with a bump one time if it falls out of view after a few days or so.
* Stay on topic. Don't (for example) ask about unlocks on a thread about updates.
* Don't ask for help pirating apps. This is strictly forbidden on XDA-Devs. Many of us here also develop commercial apps, by the way.
* This is a development forum, not a "Make my phone awesome please" forum. The Q&A section has relatively relaxed rules about this, but it's still considered poor taste to ask for help unrelated to development and for personal use only. We're here to help all of us, not you personally.
* The forum has a search feature. It's also quite well indexed by Google and other search engines. Please don't ask questions that have already been answered multiple times (ties back in to the "don't spam the board" thing).

How to remove windows live account
Hi Ansar,
I have a test phone HTC HD7 with default windows live id ([email protected]). There is no password for it. hard resetting the machine doesnt get rid of this account and therefore I am not able to access market place.
It is a T-mobile build, as soon I do a hard reset, the default apps immediately get installed.
I tried to flash them using the files you provided. But I get error 262 - update error.
Any suggestions, appreciated.

Hi,
The default account is an example.
Enter your own account instead of something @ example.com and enter your password in the next field.
Then tap on the sign in.
My issued ROMs are not for T-Mobile operator.

Thanks for your response. I should have mentioned that the default account field is not allowing me to edit or delete to provide my account. I can add other windows live accounts on the phone. But the primary one remains the default that I am not able to edit or delete.
I shall wait for your ROMs for T-mobile. If you have other ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you tried to flash the offical tmobile rom in the hd7 forum or the official Htc rom?
How does one get all the pentest stuff goin for wp7. What else do we need access to? Network api and root access released for the public what else is there?
Has tethering been achieved on the htc surround? What is stopping that the diagnosis mode commands right? If that is all thats in the way of achieving tethering on the htc surrond I can go try and manipulate a atandt employee and not htc directly? right?

Using cyanogenmod 7.2..Everything's fine..as smooth as possible..
rooted Galaxy 551 error dialer storage (process com.android.phone) has stopped.....
I am one week into my rooted Galaxy 551 (which I have been LOVING) but last night I did something stupid. It seems as though after I uninstalled a dialer process (with Titanium Backup) i keep getting the above error.
i tried doing a factory reset to see if the problem would disappear...didn't work.
And Now, when I rebooted my phone, I have no signal/no service.
Can someone help me to get my signal/service back?

Maybe you can unroot your phone ..or again install the stock android rom....other than that..try removing your battery and inserting it and then starting up your phone....

Hey guys i found out that the best thing to do right now is upgrade your phone to 2.3.6 using odin and flash arkas 1.5 einherjar rom..its the best and the most stable rom with lots of features..cm7 is still in developing stage..so till arkas 1.5 is seriously good....
Been using for a day and no bugs...

No,we dont have any recovery for froyo.
You need to upgrade to 2.3.x officially and then install cwm5/cwm6/amon-ra/twrp 2.5 recovery.

hello im user from sony xperi tipo, and i decide create this theard to try some help to me and my smartphone, i now many people are disgust to see people like me scream for help but i scream because this is my last recourse to get help, help in a way to UNLOCK my sim network. why a scream for help because i google it for a way to unlock it seem the only way is for code to a thir way industrie, and specially in my countrie to get a dollar is so difficult and hard.. the goberment dont give dollar to natural people like me.. even one dollar is a all 8hours of work, that is the think ... i create this theard to try in a last way to unlock my phone, with this i can update my xperia to cyanogemod kitkat vertion because the SONY never release one update the xperia tipo... this phone with 512mb of ram stay in 4.0.4 ICS for ever a ever because the sellfish company sony dont release even 1 update. im not trying to get sad or sadnes for my condition. only i scream for one piety soul help me to unlock my phone. thanks for read my theard.

You are in the wrong forum.
There is no Kit Kat rom for your phone.
Unlocking your phone has nothing to do with flashing a ROM unless you mean unlocking the bootloader.
That phone is really old. You are asking for a miracle. To be perfectly honest it doesn't even seem like you need Kit Kat, you simply want an update for your phone.
Go here to unlock the bootloader:

You will probably be able to update the phone to Jelly Bean but no further.

If you need a SIM unlock, that's a whole other issue.
Yes it have a kitkat unofficial CM 11 but I can't update because have the unlock allowed No, cause I have the SIM locked, see is a chain of sadness

There is still quite a bit of active development for the Xperia Tipo and yes, there are KitKat ROM's available for your phone. Have a look in the development section to find your preferred CM11 ROM here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-j-e/orig-development
Your SIM card is not the problem as SIM cards cannot be locked; instead SIM cards are just carrier specific cards that store your IMSI. What is locked is your phone in terms of the network it will work on. For example, if you're subscribed to T-Mobile, your phone is locked into their network and using other foreign network SIM cards will not work. If you would like your phone unlocked to use with different carriers, I would suggest asking your current carrier nicely for an unlock code or you can use the following service to see if they can unlock your phone: http://www.cellunlocker.net/
Note that having your phone locked DOES NOT mean you cannot flash a custom ROM, you in fact can. However, if you have your bootloader locked, this is different. You will need to unlock your bootloader first in order to install a custom ROM. There are a TON of tutorials on how to unlock the bootloader for the Xperia Tipo. See here: http://bit.ly/1k9mDtZ

I'm trying to backup my samsung omnia7 phone with WPBackup in order to put the latest Dynamics ROM on it.
(I want to keep my sms history, contacts, custom settings, apps...)
I've already installed all prerequisites on my W7x64 computer and my device is a stock and fully updated omnia7, interop unlocked and with WP7 root tools.
My problem is that i can't connect my phone to WMDC, it always says "not connected", so that's why WPBackup stays unable to see my phone, i guess.
Could anyone tell me how to reach my goal, please ?
