Is there a way i can remove certain icons in statusbar, like the signal bars using rootexplorer? I currently dont have service thru tmobile so the bars are just annoying and taking up space in my statusbar.

Only if you edit the apk that contains the icons and make the PNGs all transparent...
MIUI let's you change it via the extended settings. Not sure about regular cm7.

I saw a thread that had icon packs to change in tye status bar but i dont know how to and them or the steps to take. Do i have to be on a custom rom or can i change stock rom status bars too.

I was curious if I can actually put my name on the Status Bar, and it's always visible, not just when I pull it down.
You mean where it says Verizon Wireless?

If you know how to code/understand smali and baksmali you could possibly do it. If you modify the status bar png you could do it, but then it'll overlap your existing icons, looking like crap.
CM7 there is an apk that'll let you change the Verizon Wireless in the pull down to whatever you want, but that's only in the pull down notification window.

try the app "ccname" if rooted.
With the new MIUI update it displays your carrier name in the status bar if there are no notifications. With Change Carrier Name you can change it to whatever you wish and have it stay in the status bar.
I used CCname. I don't understand any of that lol. Very basic stuff that I understand. CM7 doesn't display the carrier in the status bar always. So I can only have it when I pill the bar down. I figured I couldn't have it always there. Just seeing if anybody had any apk that could do it.

Ok i love the bionix rom i just dont care for the white status and dropdown menu so i used UOT kitchen to cook a theme and i tried flashing the. Zip with framework-res. apk inside through cwm but nothing changed so i just pushed it manually and did the same with twframework and everything changed and looked nice except the icons at the top of the notification dropdown menu look like the stock froyo icons but everything else in the dropdown menu looks the way it should. I also cant find where to change the dropdown notification icons in UOT anyways? There not even an option? You figure it would be under status bar mods but i dont see anything? Anybody know a solution?

Heres some pics!! just remember there's still a couple of things that still need to be adjusted but i can handle that i just need to figure out the drop down notification icon problem. Also i forgot to mention the time is missing in the notification bar?? It showed it in green text in UOT why doesn't it show up?
Probably because you set your time color the same as your status bar color

You can't change the color of the time in UOT Kitchen only the date I would maybe make the status bar green and your icons black.
And you can cook the twframework-res.apk and make your own drop down menu. Only change the status bar in uot kitchen and you will have to unzip it and rename it back to twframework-res.apk copy it then replace it in system/framework.

Hello I am using the OFFICIAL stable version of CM10 and when I used ROM toolbox to change my 4g/3g icons they overlap the telephone signal icon. How would I slide the data icons so they don't sit on top of my bars?

Hi there guys.
This will work with all the D803 Canadian variants, and Scott's D803 AT&T version.
Backup your originals as always in case.
Simply flash the Theme.zip in TWRP and you are good to go.
Things changed (1.0):
-Black status bar
-Black expanded notifications
-Black quick settings background
-White battery bar
-All white data/wifi icons
-All new data icons for 4G LTE, HSPA+, 3G, Edge and G (centered, all the same symmetrical size)
(1.1)
-Qslide black background
-Modified data icons for perfect center
-Bluetooth black and white icons
v 1.1

Enjoy!

Use xblast. Xposed module changes all colors. Centers clock.

I personally don't use xposed for two reasons. It is an always running service (uses unneccessary battery), and it still won't give you my updated data icons. The reason to theme is to avoid other running programs I.E like the build.prop to hide nav instead of GMB. Next thing you know 10 services are running the background as apps which could have been done from code.
