this is the website of ainol. their device is good, it is cheap but the spec of them is very good. they produce the first tablet with android 4.0 on the world.
I would like an Ainol section also.
As far as I know, Ainol products are as good as well known brands more "westernized" (well known outside of China).
Thanks

Long story short.
A whole bunch of people have bought cheap noname tablets from ebay sellers, expecting to get wm8650 based devices they have received imapx210 based devices in the same shell.
Hardcorehacker of uberoid fame is currently trying to help solve the issues with these noname tablets but currently has hit a couple of roadblocks.
Firstly being noname chinese tablets they seem to have a variety of model names and seem to be based on the hardware of the eken m009f but not 100%
I myself have 2 that seem to show model no. as m799ca v2.0 and the other is m799ca v2.2. Another that seems the same (according to others) is m7206 v1.2.
The second immediate roadblock is hardcorehacker still hasnt found the right way to decode the .img files in the firmware so we can go about fixing the actual issues the tablets themselves have.
If any of you know how to help hardcordhacker in any way, even if its just to show him the correct way to decompress the .img files then myself and a whole bunch of new noname chinese tablet owners would be very very grateful.
To see the progress so far check out http://www.techknow.t0xic.nl/forum/index.php?board=51.0 and if able to help AT ALL then that would be fantastic

Since xda is a development community many of the tweaks/hacks have been applied successfully to the InfoTMIC based tablets such as the Flytouch/Superpad with some customization. Little effort has been put forth in support of the 7" InfoTMIC based tablet thus far but the same tweaks/hacks for the 10" tablets work well.
Some of the resources you seek are already posted here and on other support forums.

Hi all,
I'm looking for information about that chinese smartphone, the Feiyang F7100+ which I saw on an enough known chinese exporter (at least by european customers, mixeshop).
It looks like similar to several current chinese phones with 5.3" QHD display, 1G RAM/4G ROM, and MTK6589 cpu, but while Google points out to several information about the Zopo 910/Caesar A9600/Hero H9500 variants, or about those ALPS/Star/Feiteng/Cubot and the likes, apparently there's about nothing about this "vendor", Feiyang. I've asked some info the the shop itself, but I have not yet received replies. Eventually I've used the phone name to perform a search on XDA but without luck (obviously it is possible that I have done something wrong in doing so).
Well, its most distinctive feature (with reference to the quoted more known "mates") is just an integrated capacitive pen, as seen on several Galaxy Note II chinese clones, as the Bluebo N7105 and the likes. Besides, one competitor of the above quoted shop says that the Feiyang F7100+ is not a 5.3" QHD but a 5.5" HD phone (weird...).
So, has anyone never heard of that Feiyang F7100+? In case, where I can find any sort of support or information about official/custom ROMs, rooting and so on? Otherwise to which more known smartphone that Feiyang F7100+ should be nearly identical?
Thanks in advance for sharing, and please forgive me for my not so good english,
best regards,
Luca

You will find nothing here. Clone device break the GPL and in doing so break XDA rules.

Hey All:
Is there a general forum or place where people provide recommendations across brands and models?
I'm trying to get a recommendation for a 10" Tablet. It has to be Android, and I need good USB-OTG support. My preference is something with Cyanogenmod (or other custom rom) support so that it will last more than a couple of Android revisions. I'm not hugely price sensitive but want to get good bang for my buck as well.
I'm somewhat bitter about my Sony Tablet S, which was dropped like a hot potato by Sony in the VAIO selloff and has since received absolutely no support (and very limited development, not for lack of trying by very capable developers). So longevity is going to be a key for me in this purchase.
Thanks for any help!

Hey there.
You would like to post your query here in this thread in order to have the best response.
Also take a look here and here too.
cheers.
Thanks. I posted in the first thread. I was trying to stay out of the Model vs. Model threads to stay in general topics as well as to not hijack (just in case someone recommends the Transformer, for example)
Hey guys. Over the last year I have marveled at the tech products that have been coming out of China. I used to be like most Americans, and labeled a brand junk if it was not a well-known name. After brands like Oppo, OnePlus, and Xiaomi have had such great feedback from customers in the West, I did some research. I was amazed at how affordable great tech could be.
Now recently I have wanted a tablet and have done a lot of web surfing. Ive come across many brands like Teclast, Cube, Onda, Pipo and others. I've watched a lot of videos, I've read forums in Russian and Chinese, and havent been able to make a brand choice. For the price these things go for coming out of China, I know its a risk. And of course I still have my doubts about customer service and warranty concerns.
Just looking for some guidance. Please sharing your experience with one of these or other affordable Chinese brands. Im interested in knowing about customer support (if any), warranty (if any), but most of all reliability and longevity of any Chinese brand youve used. And if you could direct me to vendors, thatd be great too. Right now Im on aliexpress reading feedback reviews for different sellers. All this said, I know its risky going with lesser known China brands...but I wanna test things out. Losing a couple hundred bucks wont kill me.
I figured after seeing how popular Teclast is here, that it may be the choice. But Ive seen praise for other brands as well. I feel a thread like this can help people in the future.
PS - Shout out to Hendrickson for his informative videos. They were a great resource.
24 hr bump
Final bump.
Right now Im leaning towards Onda and Cube because of the numerous issues the Teclast X98 has according to the thread here on XDA. Threads over on Russian and Chinese forums cite the same issues.
Please discuss and vote.
Instead of bumping (check the n00b's guide!) you should go and ask here.

Thanks for the advice...but that thread is centered on mainstream devices. I specifically wanted to discuss Chinese brands. I really wish the Teclast had its own subforum now. Its thread is already huge with over 7000 posts.
Hi All,
As Chinese phones get better, I'm looking to build a resource of news and reviews on products. XDA is great for ad-hoc discussion, so this is my primary resource as a lurker, but I need your advice on finding a diversity of sources:
MobileTechAsia.com (New Entrant: Chinese Phones/Tablets News & Reviews)
GizChina.com (Large Resource for Chinese News & Reviews)
SlateDroid.com (Slow Recently)
TechTablets.com (Tablets Only)
AndroidAuthority (Mixed Feelings, Flashy & Pretty, Some Useful Content)
It's getting harder to find websites that aren't hawking crap. MobileTechAsia is a good light resource for mobile friendly viewing. GizChina is good for general news but lacks the quality video reviews of MTA. TechTablets is great for tablet reviews but Chris (the owner) refuses to do phone reviews. XDA is excellent for having large user base of diverse opinions and expertise (it's still my main resource).
How does the community get it's news and reviews?
