My husbands Sensation has been deleting all email content after opening. I have reset the email account 2 times and after a day it does it again. The phone is stock unrooted. Any suggestions?

It's kinda hard to help with so little info.
Eg are you root, S-OFF, what is your ROM, Kernel and what email client do you use

use the default email client on tmobile. Its for a yahoo account. Its been working until about a couple weeks ago . Maybe it got messed.up with the OTA update from tmobile.

I was having another wierd issue with the standard email program on InsertCoin 3.4.4 ROM. It would remove emails from my POP mail server and not show them to me. This could cause me to never see emails, but I was also looking in webmail. See this for details.

That is weird. ony husbands, the header remains, ie.,.who its from and subject. When he first opens it you can see the message for a couple seconds. Then it disappears, but you can see the header of the message in the list. he has been going on the pc to read them.

Google has disabled Facebook sync with stock android starting from Gingerbread 2.3.3 (or 2.3.4)
It has to do with some privacy policy things regarding contacts. http://goo.gl/W0SPB

Many roms have re-enabled Facebook sync though. I highly recommend Peter Alfonso's ICS Bug less Beast. I think there is also an app on Google market that gives some sort of work around, but not entirely sure.

I recovered it and is now working fine. I broke my phone when I tried to change my rom from cyanogen to stock. Now that said, I still want to know more solution to my original problem...

Hi,
I'm using a CM9 Nightly. I really like how the phone behaves now, but something I really miss from the stock HTC software, was how it integrated my Facebook contacts into my phone's contacts. It synced all the contact details from my friends, and made it available for offline viewing.
I've tried the official Facebook app. No joy. No additions to my phone's contacts at all. Even with contact sync turned on for that acc.
I've tried Friendcaster, that synced the names of my friends to my phone book, but no contact details for offline viewing?
The stock "People" on the stock HTC ROM had a great way of doing this.
Any clues?

When you click on the app do you get any details?
I don't see phone in the ICS native data manager, but I do see it with the app I use: my data manager, but it won't give me detail on the usage.
The only thing I can think of is Facebook syncing. It pulls status messages down etc.

Nah there's no real info when I click it. But I think you might be right about the Facebook syncing, that's a he'll of a lot of data (70mb) in a few days though!

When I checked my Wi-Fi usage it had almost twice the amount for phone.
I turned off "live feed" and calendar sync in my Facebook account settings. I'll see if than makes any difference.

There's gmail the service and gmail the app, you didn't specify
You might want to remove and re-add your Google account in settings. Have you been "dirty flashing" when moving between AOKP and CM10? Also, what version of gapps are you running?

You might want to go into your gmail account settings and make sure that your IMAP settings are right as well. If Auto-Expunge is off it might do something similar

I have this same issue intermittently. I found d that if I deleted them b4 marking them as read (and sometimes even if I did mark them as read) then they would come back. I fix it by going into the Gmail app, selecting the search option, typing in "in:unread" (minus the quotes) and hit search. It will do its thing and come back with all the unread emails. From there, select them, mark them as read, and delete them again. Hopefully this will work for you as it has for me.

No problem man. Glad ya got it sorted out. That exact problem had me racking my brain for a week or so. Happy I could keep you from torturing yourself over it for the next few days. Just be sure to remember that search phrase because, chances are, you'll need it again sometime.

Now I am having this issue with my Thunderbolt with the latest FB update. On WIFI no issue, but no go on 4G, wifes HTC Rezound has no issues with the updated version either. This is very frustrating for sure. I have uninstalled the app, cleared cache, pulled battery, etc. I have reported to FB too, but wanted to see if others here are having same issues.
Here's what works for me, I NEVER use the facebook app, I delete it from my phone completely and log on to facebook mobile with my brower and then add it to my bookmarks.
Interestingly enough mine is actually working better than it has been in a while. The only issue I have is when my 4G flutters up and down. I am currently unrooted and stock as if my 4G keeps having this issue I am going to be doing some yelling down at Verizon.
Have you tried using another app like Friendcaster?
Remove, install older version from backup, disable auto update.
Backup often! Airdroid is the bom for that.
