Correct order of flashing? - HTC Sensation

Greetings to all!
I've searched the forum for like an hour or so but i can't seem to find the anwser to my question...
What is the correct order when flashing new firmware, radio etc...?
I'm already S-OFF, used various custom ROMs in the past but until now there was no need to flash a new radio & firmware.
Do i need to flash 1st the new firmware, then ROM, then radio? Is this the correct order?
I'm about to flash the new 4.03 ICS...
If someone has a link to proper instructions (that i've most likely missed), it would help!
Thanks in advance!!!

Problem solved.
Thanks for looking into it!
PS: for anyone having the same question: 1. SuperCID 2. Flash PG58IMG.zip 3. Flash ROM

[Q] about installing ROM when a Firmware flash is required

There's a couple ROMS I'd like to try that are requiring a FW flash (ARHD_ICS and Virtuous Inquisition).
My question is; once the firmware is updated can you re-flash older firmwares back to the device in the event I want to try something different?
yes you can revert back to an older firmware if you wanted
Yes you can, but you have to do it all at once.
Since the ICS ROMs won't boot with old firmware, you need to put the PG58IMG.zip for the old firmware and the GB ROM you want to flash on your SD card at the same time.
Reboot to bootloader, let it flash the firmware.
Turn the phone off and remove the SD card, then boot into recovery (if you do not remove SD you will get stuck in a firmware flashing loop) - then when you get into recovery, put the card back in and install the GB ROM.

Like they say you can flash older RUUs but make sure you match it up with corresponding ROM

[Q] Can I flash any ROM with Goldcard

I've searched everywhere but I cannot get the answer to whether or not I can flash any ROM on a Windows Phone with a Goldcard. I recently installed a custom ROM using one. But that was just for downgrading the SPL. Later I installed a ROM from RUU.
I want to know if I can simply use any nbh file to flash a ROM?

no you cant. The rom you used for downgrading is an Stock or signed rom NODO?! Thats the reason why it has downgraded your bootloader.
You must find for your device a device specific ROM, and you must have HSPL to flash custom ROMs.

No, it was a stock ROM.
So basically the Gold card method is only for stock ROMs?

yes, goldcard is only for stock ROMs because the *.nbh files are signed and stock.

Question about OTA and Bootloader/S-Off

Hey guys,
I am fairly new to rooting my Droid DNA. This is my second DNA, the first one I installed Bootloader, CWM Recovery, went S-Off, and flashed Viper Rom. I want to update the firmware of my phone to the latest version that Verizon has released (I like being up to date on that stuff), but I cannot do it with my current setup as it fails in Clockwork Recovery. So here are a couple of questions I have:
1. If I uninstall CWMR and flash back to standard recovery will that enable me to update my phones firmware?
2. Is this "firmware" the same data I could find on a ROM? Or is this different than what ROMs provide?
3. If I am able to update my firmware by uninstalling CWM and using the stock recovery, will that undo my Bootloader/SuperUser/S-off on my phone, or will it just update the "firmware" and leave my rooting alone?
Sorry these are noob questions. I am trying to intuitively understand how all these things work together. I appreciate any and all help I can get in this. Thank you for your time.

Quick firmware related question

Hey guys, just a quick question, must we always flash the firmware zip file first in bootloader before flashing a custom rom?
I ask this because I had already flashed the latest firmware (3.33.401.6) ages ago, I've been using albinoman887's CM 10.2 rom and Carbon Rom without any problems (well actually, I do have battery issues and 2 small minor issues). But today, I decided to check my firmware version using fastboot command
fastboot getvar version-main

Click to collapse
and I got something like 1.24.401.1.
Well, that's obviously wrong, so I flashed the firmware again and this time it shows the proper version.
So I was just wondering, does doing a full wipe or flashing a new rom affect the firmware at all? Must we flash it everytime prior to flashing a new rom? I don't understand how my firmware was changed even though all I've been doing is switching between JB custom roms.
doesn't affect the firmware at all
i don't know why it showed you that firmware version
flashing any custom rom doesn't affect firmware
there is no need to change it every time you are flashing a new rom
now leave it as it is

how to install 4.4.3 roms?

Hello? Yes, I'm a noob. I tried to read and understand, but was not able to.
I have bootloader unlocked and rooted 4.4.2 stock in my m8.
I want to install the 4.4.3 roms.
My simple question would be what are the steps to get 4.4.3 radio? installed
wait to make it clear you only want the radio of 4.4.3 or the whole rom ?
but if you want to install the rom you need to have sometype of custom recovery after you installed that (you can do it through rom manager app on google play)
after that choose your rom that you wanted to install and then just flash it using the custom recovery

You didn't mention your carrier, but essentially you want to update to the latest firmware first, then flash a 4.3 ROM. To get to the latest firmware you either take an OTA from your carrier, which requires being completely stock with stock recovery and no changes to system, or flash a firmware file that someone has extracted from the OTA package. The latter is imo easier if you are already on a custom recovery. The development forum for your carrier likely has a post dedicated to updating firmware.

Go to link i posted to get your vzw firmware up to date. An fyi when you said radios you meant firmware an the radios is inside the firmware zip. After you update firmware you can flash 4.4.3 ROMs.
