Web Button Browser Replacement - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Installed Dolphin HD browser on my Skyrocket, and set it as the default browser. However, the default samsung browser still opens when I hit the "Web" button.
Is there a way to make Dolphin launch from this button? I have searched around the os and can't seem to find an option for making this change.
Running SuperStock ATT Rom.
Thanks

Thanks. Giving this a try.
Is there anyway to do it with built in TWlauncher?

That's because the web icon is for the default samsung app. Go to the app drawer hit menu then edit and replace the stock browser on your launcher with the dolphin browser icon instead

Thanks so much. Never thought the edit button on that screen applied to the menu bar area. Not sure why I didn't just try it. TY!!
Mods can close this if need be. Problem solved.

Samsung widgets with Launcher Pro

Is there any method/hack to use some of the samsung widgets with Launcher Pro or any other launcher for that matter? I really dislike the samsung launcher but I'd like to use their feed widget for twitter as I've yet to find another good scrollable one.
Thats not possible simply because the touchwiz widgets are withing the touchwiz UI, the come as a hole not as separate packages, hence they can only be install on the touchwiz launcher.

That's too bad. Does anyone know of a similar widget to Touchwiz's feed widget out there? I really liked the way it lets you scroll both facebook and twitter but I love ADW way too much to go back.
Yeah the feed widget is what I was hoping for as well... closest thing I've found is Pure Messenger

A bit off topic, but how do I get Launcher Pro back as the default launcher? While trying to get Kies to work, I made TW the default launcher, not realizing you can't turn off TW the same way. Or do I have to reinstall LP and lose my settings.

I did this too, I think I went into the manage applications menu under TWlauncher and clicked the button that said clear defaults. I believe thats how I fixed it. Then after that hit the home button and the choice to use launcher pro or twlauncher again.
I tried that initially. No TWLauncher showing in the list...hit the menu button and found the filter option. Selected "show all" and there it was. Thanks!

Launcher Pro

Maybe I am dumb, but I can't find the answer anywhere. I downloaded and installed launcher pro. When I hit the home button, I accidentally chose the regular launcher as default. Now, even when i go into home switcher and choose launcher pro as default, when I bit the home button it defaults to stock. How can I change that? Thanks.

Have seen the same thing before. Simplest thing is don't use home switcher. I don't think it works very well. One way to fix it is to uninstall launcherpro and then reinstall. Then hit the home button and check the little box at the bottom before you pick launcherpro.
Thanks man. I ended up downloading Home Switcher for Froyo and it did the trick. I noticed that in the default home switcher, there is a check box to enable the ad blocker. I never seen that before.
Change from launcher proback to default launcher:
Go settings > applications > downloaded applications. Select launcher pro and clear default settings(last option). When you hit home again show ask which launcher. Select default then click the one you want.
Change from default to launcher pro:
Go to system applications, look for "launcher" and clear defaults if this is the current launcher.

if that ever happens again you can go to settings>applications >manage applications >launcher(or launcher pro depending on which one you want to take off)>clear defaults

Gingerbread launcher - problems?

I'm running Ginger Clone R2 Rom.
On a Samsung Vibrant
the Stock launcher is a Gingerbread launcher, but the 3D app drawer is annoying, is there anyway i can remove that, because i jsut don't like it and when im in the middle of the list, and go back to home screen, and go back to app drawer, its back at the top, how can i stop it from happening or is there another replacement which looks like that but without 3D or that problem?
It is not a problem,
The launcher is suppose to do that.
But if you go on the Android Market
and search "Gingerbread Launcher" or "MoDaCo"
and that one has no 3D app drawer.

Yes, the stock launchers (which the one from the market is stock, just a tad bit modified) do that, the only way to fix that is to change some code or use LauncherPro and use a Gingerbread theme.

LauncherPro Behavioe

Hi guys,
Yesterday I was trying some launchers because I'm bored with Sense's one.
I tryied launcher pro and it was a very good launcher but it had something I don't like.
Let's say I'm in the home screen. I go to the menu and I tap to open for example Gallery app. If I hit back, with the launcher pro it sends me to the home screen (just like if I hit home button) BUT the Sense's launcher goes really back -> to the previous screen which is the menu.
Can I make something for the LauncherPro to work like Sense on this situation?
Thanks a lot guys.

I just checked my settings, there's lots of options and I didn't check them all but it looks like you could at least set the home button to open/close the app drawer in preferences>behavior. That might be a solution.

As I said ... I just want when running LauncherPro the 'back' button to have the same behavior as when running Sense.

Just tested on my phone and it takes me back to the screen I was on. I couldn't find anything in the settings though, so I'm not sure why your's is doing this.
Sorry!

You launched an app from the menu? Then you hitted the back button and taked you to the previous screen (not homescreen) at menu?
Strange thing. My brother's Zte Blade does the same with my phone...

I think OP is talking about opening an app from the app drawer right?
Unfortunately launcherpro doesn't allow the app drawer to be opened in the background, so pressing back will just put you back to home screen.
I think most other launchers do the same thing. You can try other launchers like ADW launcher, Zeam Launcher and Go Launcher. See if any of them has more App Drawer options for you..

Yes... that's I'm talking about. Back to the app drawer.
Tested ADW, does the same.... that's awful.

How to change search button app in GO Launcher EX?

Hi guys.
I really like the GO Launcher app, but one thing that made me delete it is the fact that in ICS it opens their own search app when you press the search button. When I had Gingerbread, it was all great, it always opened Google Search when pressing the Search button.
Is there a way to change this without rooting the phone?
I've got ICS 4.0.3
And if there isn't a way to change this, are there any good Go Launcher alternatives? The LauncherPro seems cool but I can't stand it that it can't swipe the drawer menu horizontally.
Thanks
