Hello,
I noticed that it's almost not possible to play GTA III on any ROM besides MIUI. I like when games are running fast and it's very laggy on all roms which I tested comparing to MIUI where it's much better. Is there any way to make it playable on Endymion for example? Is it possible that because in Endymion there is hw acceleration enabled for UI there is not enough gpu power for GTA?
The game is meant for dual core phones

I'm aware. My colleague has HTC sensation. When I tried this game on MIUI on my Desire S it was running as smooth as his sensation on Sense.
That's because Sense is more bogged down than AOSP.
MIUI is a AOSP ROM, which is lightweight and fast, therefore it is smoother.
I notcied it too, on CM7, I get considerably better gaming performance than on Endymion.
GTA is primarily designed for dual core initially.
BUT it is normal designed for single core too.

So I guess that the only option to play it is to switch the rom to AOSP :-\

so,i am running THE coredroid 2.7 xe rom.
setcpu frequency is 1,5ghz ondemand bricked kernel..
whatever i tried...it is compared to my desire HD sooo slow...it doesn't load multiplayer on time...just after 3 full minutes it responds....:Swhile i am hearing from other sensation(xe)users that it plays without any problems...what the heck am i doing wrong
Try updating ur game to New version but I'm assuming you haven't done it already but I think the game has got faster at loading and playing but I think it can be even better.

hmm...men i hope i find a solution fast...becouse this game rocks!
is it me or i can't get 100% smoothness while playing this fifa 12 on this phone
if anyone had played it, can you tell me that it is universal problem for this phone? or is it just mine?
cuz I had stock before and games tends to run choppy including fifa 12, but after I rooted and install codename (a jelly bean enhanced rom), games runs faster, HOWEVER fifa 12 remains the same choppiness
I had a samsung SKYROCKET before, and it runs super smooth, the S3 handles it very quick too :/
Works fine for me

yeah. i played it on my XE too. its not perfect, but its good. just sometimes the accelerometer stops working or something else. the car's steer freezes and it goes at a direction for some seconds and then it comes back to normal. i don't know that it is my phone's problem or the game's.

I have played through the entire game on my Sensation. At first I was hesitant to purchase it because I didn't know if it would run at all. To my surprise it ran reasonably well even on the stock Sense image I was using at the time. However, after playing through it a little there was obvious lag, stutters and just hiccups that would come at inopportune times and cause you to lose the race. I then switched launchers to Nova while still retaining the stock Sense ROM. Things got better, much better actually, but still not good enough. Then I rooted and went to cm9.1 stable + Nova and things were almost perfect! I played through the rest of the game, actually pretty much the whole game, with cm9.1 + stable and there were only a few occasions where framerates degraded or hiccups/stutters messed up the gameplay. I thought what I was seeing was pretty much the best the sensation could do. That was until I recently upgraded to Albinoman's CM10.1 Kang. With that ROM NFS-MW is now running practically perfect. I think the key difference here is the amount of free RAM. With CM10.1 I have significantly more free RAM and can hold open 2 or 3 times more apps than with CM9.1. The Sensation is severely lacking in the RAM department and NFS-MW is a very memory-demanding game. The lighter the OS load, the more RAM is available to the game, the less swapping occurs and the ultimately the more fluid the game plays. Hope that helps.
perfectly running under cm10 by albinoman
if you are running sense, use faux kernel 10b9 or 10b8 overclock it to 1.7 then use intellidemand as governor.

Hi
I have noticed that certain roms, e.g. CM10 just cannot play games like Dead Trigger or Asphalt as fast as ARHD. Why does ARHD give seamless gameplay (but annoying HTC Sense) and CM10 give a buttery interface but lag during gameplay?
Sense based ROMs have superior graphics drivers.
Try hyper nonsense for a good mix of both.
Nb: until jb is released for the sensation (by HTC) there won't be good jb drivers.

So CM10 is never as fast as the native rom for any phone?
Hi guys,
I actually test SlimRom 6 on my GT-P5110 for my son. This tablet will serve for playing. He is 8 yrs old
He like playing Asphalt 8, Real Racing, Angry Bird Go, Chess, .....
Most of games turn good but sometimes the tab lag and the game close
My question is : Did I have to stay on android 6.x.x or better downgrade to 4.x.x for the performances ?
Thanks a lot
Nico
They are all basically the same in terms of performance. If you want demanding games playing smoothly on a tablet, better get a tab 4 or newer

yes of course but I don't want to pay a lot for my son
i just installed SLim6 last stable 2.0
I have an other gt-p5110 and I installed samsung rom in 4.2.2
I found the second slowest in use but the games seems to lag less.....
install any 4.4 rom like omni, they are bit faster imo and doen't have audio bugs in games
For me I think Best ROM for espressoswifi is slimkat or AOSP 4.4.4 even AOSP 6.0.1 is also good. I play chess at chess.com using the app
Thanks men
i have a second GT-P5110 with SLIM6, the lag is the same on Asphalt
Perhaps in SLIMKAT, i will test

The performance of games all depend on the hardware sadly, some ROMs may increase the performance but the performance boost is pretty small.

of course that's true
