i don't know if i should write my issue in this section or not..
I am trying to sync my contacts from Facebook also... this way all my contacts will start having their Facebook profile picture. Unfortunately everything works fine except that profile pictures are not synced (facebook contact is synced with phone contact with all the fb information but without the profile picture)
Also another problem.. when fb picture are synced (tried on another phone just like mine) whatsapp won't show those pictures. It only show pictures from google accounts (Therefore some contacts have their google account display pictures while other don't have anything... they have the standard whatsapp green contact photo)
Any idea guys?

Has anyone found a way to sync contacts's pictures and birthdays from facebook like we used to do on the htc contacts tab ? The roms i was using on my HD2, had the option to link a contact with its facebook profile, and automatically update pictures and stuff.

install full screen called ID. it has a sync facebook option. that's how i've done it.
Download the Facebook app and set it to sync contacts. Most of them should be joined automatically to your existing contacts where the names are the same, and you can manually join the rest from the menu when you're editing a contact.
Pro tip: join from the entry you want to take precedence for name display purposes.
Allright both are acceptable solutions.
But what if i install another rom ? Do i have to do that again or i will have the photos as soon as i sync my fb and my gmail ?

login to your FB account from the app u downloaded. Go into the options menu and sync FB contacts.
Can someone please shed some light on the contact funtionality with the TB or maybe its just android. I have my contacts all in my google account, but everytime I try a new rom i will get duplicate contacts labeled Phone contact and Google contact. very annoying.
Also anyone know how to sync facebook to just download the contacts image for your address book without creating completely new contacts from facebook most of which dont have a phone number.
With the iphone the contact sync function just brought over there picture and birthdays, etc but only if you had a contact already in your phone, it wouldnt create new contacts just because they were a facebook friend.

hello, see if there is someone that I clarify something, some time ago when you add my facebook account on the phone (HD2) and went to images appeared to me my facebook photo albums, but I did a hard reset to clean and now when I add the account adds photo albums? I think it touches everything that can be configured but not add them, and probe to eliminate it and add it again, anyone know anything?

When you integrate facebook into your phone, it shows your facebook albums in your pictures hub. Not sure what the issue you are having is?
well the solution, you must first synchronize facebook account and then the Windows Live ID, and then I showed all my albums of Facebok in the images folder, so I had to do a hard reset and synchronize facebook account first, and then the hotmail.
hi guys, anyone know how to sync only facebook photo to phone contact, rather than whole facebook contact?
this is the problem i encounter:
when i tab on the TO: list in messaging and type in my friend's name, it will show a replica of number (ie number from phone contact, and number from facebook contact). And the worst part is some of the number from facebook contact are wrong.
can anyone help?

thanks aagvain, i forgot something, previously i sync with my facebook account, and am able to get all the email address as well.
so i have to either add in the email via gmail one by one and sync gmail, or is there any other alternative?

just an update, i've solved my problem.
i've installed google contact sync and it will only sync facebook photo.
the downside is it doesn't sync the email, so i have to manually input.
Since upgrading to 4.3 JB, facebook photos are not syncing.
I had CM 10.1.2 with JB 4.2.2 and contacts+ app before. When I add a person's phone number or email to contacts (people) app, contacts+ app would pull the person's facebook or linkedin photo (even though the person is not in my facebook friend's list).
No matter what app I try in 4.3 JSS, only my facebook friend's contact photo is syncing - not all contacts. Anyone has success syncing photos of contacts even if they are not your facebook friends? Is it Android OS thing or facebook thing?
Tried Ubersync, Haxsync, Contacts+, and SyncME (tried different settings, sync over data or wifi, sync existing contacts, all contacts etc.)
Waited for almost a week to sync - was in wifi most of the time
Tried: without facebook app and with facebook app logged in
Tried: autosync checked and also autosync not checked
Tried: PA 3.98 JWR, Carbon Nightly JSS
Note:All the apps listed above asked for facebook permission when i first opened after install and I gave permission by logging in to my facebook account.
Without a facebook or linkedin account, you will not be able to pull the photos.
Ubersync, Haxsync and now contacts+ syncs hi-resolution pictures. But in 4.3 ROMS, only syncs with facebook friends.
