Is there a way or maybe a app that will put saved mms file to the external sd rather than the download folder in the internal??
Make another folder on your external and move it to that folder
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997
Yes I know that but that would involve manually moving mms files everytime I get one....I'm looking for a permanent solution that puts saved mms files in on the ext sd card automatically. theres no option in sms to do this.
did u try replacing stock messaging app with custom one, and changing storage location in that?

Click to collapse
The only way is change in the most programs everything to save default to SD-card instead of the main memory and/or make a directory My Docu on the SD there.
Maybe change registry settings is an option..

It was working just fine but everything was saving to the internal sd card and I wanted them to save to the external one...the folder for it is named sd so I changed it from 'downloads' to 'sd' but now they aren't saving..
Any idea on how to get it working?
so its my understanding that when you use apps 2 sd it stores them in the android secure file on my sd . now if thats wrong all together then what exactly is that folder for ? is it my titanium backup files ? Anyway my question is if im not relying on my apps to sd back up anymore i.e all of my apps are on my internal hard drive and the apk files exist in another folder on the sd card can i get rid of those files in the adroid secure folder on my sd card ? its taking up 7.5 gb of my 8 gb sd card so i have no room to add anything and half of the apps in there i already uninstlled from my phone but yet they still are taking up all the room on my sd card....
delete all third party apps.. except those present in the stock rom
Just delete the folder. I would back it up first, just in case. If all of your apps are on internal storage, you should be fine.
If that doesn't work, move everything on your SD card to your computer and format the card. Then move whatever you need back to the card.
If I use an SD card as my default storage location I cant access my internal storage which includes the themes folder.
If I revert back I can access it again. This is a pain when I want to mess with my themes.
Is this normal and is there a way to enable access to internal storage when the SD card is set as default storage location?
Hey
With the new android update for this phone i can no longer browse to the sd card via the directory of device\
usually there is a link to the external sd card in device\storage but now its all empty there and i can only access the internal storage via Device\sdcard.
If i use a file browser like Es media then u can select the external sd card directly and access it. But the problem im having is when im in simple apps like ePSXe it wont let me reach the external sd card since i have to manually browse to it but there is no shortcuts to it anywhere. There was one app that allowed the full path to be manually added which worked since the folders are hidden or something.
Its like samsung have hidden the folders link to the external card.
Is there a way to create a shortcut from the internal storage that point to "device\storage\D8C7--9661" (which is my external sd card)?
