Does anyone know when the SGT 7+ will be widely available in the UK? There only seems to be a trickle of stock at the moment and the Samsung website even suggests there is no stock at all in the UK.
I also cannot find a 32Gb version of this anywhere. Surely there isn't just a 16Gb version?
The lack of stock makes me think this is why the price is currently so high (£349 for 16Gb WiFi only). Or is this a fairly normal price? I'm new to tablets and I would just have expected them to be cheaper than laptops and even netbooks.
Edit: Only Dixons, Currys and PCWorld seem to have stock but they are all the same company. Samsung website actually says they don't have stock so maybe they are just saying in stock to get people to order. I'm thinking that if they do have stock they are keeping the price high because no other retailers have it. That's my hope anyway so that prices will come down.

Hi
I would like to know when will the 3G version of Asus EEE Pad Transformer release?
I live in India, we usually get stuff within 15-30 days or so after USA/Global launch?
I have heard that only the 64GB model will have 3G. Is that true? For me 3G is a must, although it doesn't matter whether it is a 16GB model or 32GB model.
I don't mind spending around 30-35k INR for this around June mid-July end, the sooner the better.
1 USD = Rs.44 INR
And usually something which is priced for around $100 in USA costs around Rs.4500-6000 in India. more like 5000+ or so!
Can you please give me some info about the 3G model and its release date???
Warm Regards
Aakshey
I don't think anyone knows yet.
I personally will just continue to use my Android phone as a 24/7 hotspot so it'll be like having 3g on the Pad for free.
I read in one or two places at least, that there will be a 3G model. Also, nowhere did I read that there won't be a 3G model.
But I read that only the 64GB model will have 3G and that will cost $700.
But the problems are:
1. Nobody knows the release date
2. ($700+$150)x50+ is really very expensive.
And problem 1 is slightly bigger.
I am basically planning either the Transformer or Tab 10.1 3G from Samsung, whichever comes first gets my money, provided both are priced similar (Asus with the dock), plus minus $100 or so doesn't count but the time frame does
Does nobody know?

I am trying to find a uk stock for he grey version 3g but noone seems to have it yet.
Expansys are lying to everyone posting that the stock will be in less than 5 days and when you place the preorder you see that actually you are getting it in a month! On email communication they said no earlier than the 14th of september. Conveniently they do not put that on the site so they can get more pre-orders.
Amazon uk says unknown expectancy and cfw doesn't even list it!
Anyone knows a reputable shop that can give us an idea of when its coming?

Clove Technology seem a decent enough outfit. You could ask them when they will have a grey one.
Iirc it'll be around 1 week of Sept to get the grey ones. Asked the Sammy flagship store in Westfield.

You can pick up the Grey wifi version on ebay now for £429.99. £30 more than itll be sold in stores when released but worth it if you dont want to wait.. delivery was 3 days and the tab is perfect glad I ordered it rather than settle for the white.

Does the UK version come with 1gb or 2gb ram memory?
Thanks
John.
Thanks for the responses.
Good ebay link but with my luck about electronic devices lately, I'd rather get it from a shop that can guarentee me the 30d replacement.
I think all notes will come with 2gb of memory

Just Samsung UK Website says "1GB SDRAM Memory" , when the global website says 2GB

http://www.samsung.com/global/microsite/galaxynote/note_10.1/specifications.html?type=find
Mine show 2GB
Anyone have any idea if/when this will be available in the UK or Europe?
If there's good reason to think it will be out soon I will hold off purchasing the note 10.1 for now....
Thanks
Can't say about the UK but over here in Oz they're as rare as hens teeth... Only found the 32gb 3g version at JB Hifi... and now its not advertised on their site anymore..... Oh yeah, cost $850Aud too which is really up there in price....

Probably be cheaper buying a 16 gig version then buying a 32 gig card from amazon.

On Thursday I finally got notification that the 32 Gb wiFi version was now available in Holland, so perhaps the 3G version will not be too far behind in Europe/the UK.
I bought a WiFi version from the US a few months ago and even with import costs of €100 it was good value - can you pick up a 3G one from another country ?

Thanks for the responses....There don't seem to me many available for shipping even internationally....there was one on Ebay US a few days ago but that would have set me back about £540 after all the import duties and shipping...
That would be £140 more than I could get it for in the UK with the £50 Samsung rebate.
I don't think I'd want to pay much more than £50 more for the extra 16gb, especially as i plan on sticking a 64gb card in there anyway...
I also have to decide between the grey and the white.....would definitely be going for grey if it weren't for the reports here of differing build quality between the two...

Differing build qualities, really?
I got a 32 gb from amazon uk for around £20 and 64 gig from around £40

Mate, my 32gb 3g grey note 10.1 has no faults.... I bought a 2nd for my brother and his has no faults. I bought a 16gb 3g grey one for a friend and they have no problems with build quality.... Considering the only real difference between the grey and white notes is colour then why would build quality differ?
And trust me, I have the 32gb version with a 64gb sd card. I'm running out of space... What you have you will use or lament the fact you don't have enough. Hindsight is 20/20 and you will regret not getting the larger memory...
Thanks again for the advice
Yeah, I will definitely be getting a 64GB MicroSD card. And I agree with you ultramag69 that will likely regret it if i settle for the 16gb note. However with the current purchase options (no 32GB 3G model available directly in UK) I just don't think I could justify spending £140 on 16GB of storage.

I totally agree that this sounds ridiculous. I'm still sceptical even after reading this thread. It's not exactly a scientific sampling however it does give pause for thought regarding the models available in the UK at least.
Anyone can tell me what will be the price of the phone? And when it will be releasing in India?
Sent from my C2305 using XDA Free mobile app
The price of the phone is well-documented. $299 for the 16GB version, $349 for the 64GB version (USD).
Unfortunately, India is not on the list of countries this phone will be released to (at this time). No idea why. You'd think a market of 1.2 billion people would be something they'd be interested in. Of course, there will always be other ways to get the phone in India, but it'll inevitably cost more. No idea about compatibility though...

Pretty dumb for them to not sell to India then.
Of course, they don't seem to be selling to anyone else either, yet.
I want to take advantage of the free 200mb plan from T-mobile and I'm in the market for an LTE tablet. The development community seems pretty good and I have a GTX card to try out Gamestream. However, I can't find it anywhere. All the b&m stores say discontinued and the online sites charge way over the 399 msrp. Swappa has not had for a while as well. Is there anyway I can still purchase the lte version for around msrp or less? I don't care so much about the controller but at this point I'd buy it if it were bundled and not marked up ridiculously.
Try eBay , I found mine on eBay brand new for 330

Gamestop has the shield lte listed for 299, you probably would have to check a couple of stores
