Hey guys just read this article @ engadget - Silk ported from Kindle Fire to rooted Android devices
Then i went to this link in xda - [PORT] Amazon Kindle Fire "Silk" Browser
The Browser is working really well and blazing fast on WB's v7b6 . .
The flash rendering is pretty fast and its very easy to install...Just follow the steps properly.
Try it out
Ketan
Works, but fullscreen isn't possible

So, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I just came out and pretty much doesn't work on any of the official ICS builds. It works GREAT in the CM9 rom on the Kindle Fire though, which is pretty laughable considering it's supposed to be a sucky $199 device...
Well done to the developers working on the CM9 build. Too bad for those with $500 devices.
Happyface.

Sure, give me a few minutes.
You'll be happy to know that it works FLAWLESS. Video playback is really smooth.
im more interesed in the cm9 you mentioned, as i have not seen it released yet
Sorry to bump this so long after the fact but I've been having trouble running this game on a Kindle Fire since I started using non-stock ROMs. I've tried this both on the AOSP 4.2.2 and CM10.1 ROMs and both of them force close the app when it tries to load the first stage. Episode II works just fine but I can't get E1 to work on this (it does work on a GNex7 and I originally had it installed on an HTC Droid Incredible).

It came out for the KF a good while ago. Both episodes even. I haven't tried EP 2 on it since it's now with my dad, but it works on my crappy 3.5" screen and 800MHz processor phone. So I don't think there should be an issue on the Fire. Haha.
http://www.icrackerz(remove this).com/2012/01/download-nds4droid-1-3-nintendo-ds-emulator-apk-for-android/
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^is the link for the emulator
1. Download the emulator
2. Install on kindle fire
3. Download Pokemon Pearl rom
4. Put rom on kindle fire
5. Run the emulator and it will automagically find the rom.
(Ive only tested this on Cm7)
i installed nds4droid and there's no sound and touch controls don't work
To use the touch controls you have to press the button on the top left. and press it again to get the other buttons to come back
Can't download it from mediafire. Any mirror ?
Did FileSonic end up like MegaUpload or something?
And how well does it run...?
Anyone have a working download link?
My first thought was that "Pokemon Pear" was a new pokemon game released for the android...silly me.

i followed all of your instructions (hoping for some miracle of an update on this app, HA) and the game is choppy as hell, and yes i turned frame skip on (even the experiential mode too), and the controls are off a little on the KF where as on my inspire they are ok (even tho it aint any better).
i fail to see the point of this thread.
im one of thoes people who PAID for the nds4droid app when it was in the market. i even emailed the dev, and he promised good things were to come, but when?
after the first e mail response he NEVER got back to me and the app was taken off the market.
i doubt even doubling the clock speed on the cpu would make much of a difference with this app.
oh and in case your wondering i used the 4shared app to download version 1.3, which i have every right to since i already paid for the thing.
dont waste your time. hopefully someone else will pick up a similar project and actually finish it.

They saw what has happened to MegaUpload and made it private... So basically yes, chain reaction...

Are you using CM7? I don't know about stock, but with CM7 some people (including me) can't get any Twitter apps to work. I have to use Twitter through the browser.

Do we know if the Kindle Fire's kindle app has been ported? There are some features in the Kindle Fire's Kindle App that are not included in the original Kindle App in the market place.

Can't you just send the apk of the reader file to your email address and then download it to your non kindle device? That's what I did with the kindle movies and shopping apks.

That doesn't work. There are some kind of dependencies that won't let you launch it I'd love to have it on my tab though!

im an avid user of boat browser but since ive upgraded to cm10 there has been many UI inconsistencies and things that do not work. i tired out dolphin beta and while it's a large download it's the fastest ive used soo far.
So.what's the difference.between this dolphin beta and dolphin hd with the jetpack add on for html5?

i tired the regular dolphin and it was sorta laggy and ate up alot of battery. this one seems super fast, could just be placebo but i urge you to try it out.
I've been using dolphin beta for awhile. Imo, it's one, if not the fastest browser on the market. I don't use any other browsers except the stock one when I need it to play flash. Highly recommended.

I've been a Dolphin user for a long time. I'm curious, what's the deal with Dolphin Jetpack. It's sort of like a plugin, but also a separate app? It sounds like it installs with its own icon that you have to use... or something. I haven't tried it out yet (obviously) as a few comments seemed to say they had problems with it.
Edit: Also, I assume Dolphin Beta is sort of like their version of nightlies?
I've been using dolphin since it's first release and it's still the fastest around.....IMHO. I tried Dolphin Jetpack and it loaded web pages super fast. Only downside is that it ate up too much battery. Since there isn't flash support on DB I've been using Holo Web Browser found here on xda (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1891975). It's just as fast if not slightly faster as Dolphin is and plays flash wonderfully.
