[Q] DakrSide 4.5.9 update - General Questions and Answers

I installed yesterday the 4.5.5. Missing music app, apn is bad, everything else ist just fine. So I want to upgrade to 4.5.9. Is it possible without formatting dalvik and cache?
OK, I tried it: It's installable without wiping, but as it formats with ext4, everytinh was erased. It took me hours to install and customize 4.5.5. This was better on CM7 (on the Defy), where you were able to update and all data and apps remained in the state they ahve been before. Sniff..., there should be an upgrade version...

Market Problems after Wipe and upgrade

OK my UK Voda Magic was running with a few faults on CM4.2.14 so I decided to wipe and reflash with CM 4.2.15.1 so I wiped data, cache, re partitioned through CM recovery with default settings 32mb swap, 512 ext and rest for fat32.
Now my problem is the market, i think!!!
So i installed a few apps, reboot the phone and the apps are no longer installed in the menu, but installed in the market and the option to uninstall greyed out. If they stay installed they force close on opening. After a few wipes and reflash i have some sort of pattern
On a fresh wipe and rom it is like the market has not synced properly, as the tab to view paid apps is not present. Anything i install at this moment will have problems. The downloads tab is blank ie none of my paid apps are listed.
After lots of reboots the market appeared to be functioning properly but for no apparent reason or nothing i have done to help!!. Any apps i install at this point work properly. So problem solved.
Now not convinced i have a clean install i started again so am back at step one with a market only partially functioning, i dont want to install any apps until its back working properly.
So can anyone fill in the blanks
How do i get the full market back??
Is there a problem in my process of wiping and flashing rom?
I have tried the vending database renew scripts tried the gtalk on/off issue and am now going CRAZZY!
What am i missing!!!

[Q] Internal Storage Related Freezing?

I've had my TF101 since it first came out, and I've run plenty or ROMs over it and had a good ol' jolly time. Recently, when I had a movie on a USB stick and tried to move it to the external storage, the system would just sit there. ES File Explorer showed a status bar that never moved.
I tried a couple other file managers - no go.
Today I took it up and tried to move over a file via USB (it's running ICS) and the progress bar didn't move.
Okay, Recovery mode >> Factory reset / Wipe cache / Wipe Dalvik >> Boot into ICS.
Now it let me copy over files!
I installed Revolution, the latest version, onto it and used the Full Wipe which does an EXT4 format. So all is well until I start performing actions related to the internal storage.
As I was re-downloading apps, I decided to grab an offline map from Google. At the same time; all apps stopped downloading and the Google Maps download failed.
At this point, it will often tell me that the Google Play Store has stopped unexpectedly. It will also not let me resume or cancel any download. Any attempt to force stop an app or clear its cache or delete its data will simply not yield a response. I can still run around the OS and click things.
I tried this while a MicroSD was plugged in and while it wasn't. It happens when the dock is connected or disconnected. It happened on my old EOS nightly and on the current Revolution. This leads me to believe it's likely a formatting or hardware problem. Any thoughts?
Also, thank you so much for taking the time to read through this.
TL;DR? Internal storage craps out after mild use, tablet remains unfrozen.
Cheers,
Sacrosaint.
UPDATE:
I've been playing around with the device some more. After the 5 reboots or so that it took to install all my apps, I managed to save ~200MB of offline maps without an issue. Only when I then tried to install Google+ did I get an "Insufficient Storage" warning and a play store crash. Maybe this means something?
Reformat again using wipe data/factory reset 3 times. Then run superwipe.zip 12 times, to make Sure it works. Also make sure your CWM is a working version.
Make sure in storage that 'other' isn't taking up alot of space as well, logs can do this.
I have the same problem. I did try the multiple data wipes, followed by multiple SuperWipes (Full) and still no dice. It is not stable beyond 5 minutes of use. It crashes various programs and processes until it is in an unusable and unbootable state.
Help? Please?
StevieJake:crying:
This is an interesting reoccurring problem for some..
Early on we were getting some problems with this type of things and there was a fix via edited the superwipe script to allow a bit more in
one of the system partitions..will take me a little while to find the thread..might pay to have a look and see if this fixes it..
But it does bring up the question again and the need for a deep format that actually does a full wipe of everything..i was under the impression that that mike's superwipe did this..and Nvflash would do it too..i am meaning a one time run of these should do it..?
Therefore multi runs of these programs should not be needed..

[Q] Couldn't install to USB storage or Sd Card, error

ROM: Scott's 10.1 6/16
Play Store Version: 4.1.6
Rooted: Yes
So after flashing to the 6/16 CM 10.1 unofficial, my phone will not install or upgrade 2 apps, Icon Pack- Black and Blue and OfficeSuite Pro 7. I thought it may have been the size that wasn't allowing it, but other apps over 25mb have installed and upgraded just fine.
I've tried to unmount the sd card and install but had no luck, also tried without the sd card in the phone too. I've also cleared the cache and data on both the play store and download manager with no luck. I've tried on wifi and nothing. I have also tried deleting my google account from the phone and that too didn't work. Also wiped the cache partition with no luck too.
Stealthycheif sent me the apk, but they just updated today and the update won't work, Mobile Systems told me to contact Google and they basically said nothing they could do since it's a custom rom.
Is there anything else I can try?

[Q] Bricked my phone formatting system, Unbricked, But now Mounts2sd mucks up phone!!

Ok heres the story (its not too long don't worry)-
But I URGENTLY need help to fix it please please.
I have an LG GT 540.
I got it 2months ago, and it came as factory standard, and on LG's android 1.6 operating system (so unusable basically).
Over the 2months I managed to upgrade it to a Cyanogen 4.2.1 custom rom, managed to learn how to partition my SD card into fat32 & ext2 and then installed Mounts2sd and used it to freeup space on phone.
(The phone comes with only 138mb storage, so is unusable without mounts2sd quite simply).
The phone was constantly freezingup everytime I tried to load any app ever,
but after clicking the 'Fix Permissions' tab in the recovery menu, it was all working fine and everything was working fine.
HOWEVER as 1 thing wasn't working on an app I love, and re-installing the app didn't fix the issue, I decided to wipe the whole phone, reinstall the ROM and try re-installing the app then.
But when trying to clear and wipe everything from the phone, in addition to clicking data wipe/cache wipe/dalvik cache wipe, I also clicked on the buttons saying ''Format system / Format SDcard / Format sd-ext''.
When I tried to reboot phone it was bricked, as had no boot screen logo, just was plain dark screen.
I fixed this by removing sd card from phone, putting it into laptop, placing the Cyanogen 4.2.1 rom file directly onto the sdcard, placing sd back into phone, rebooting into recovery menu, and then re-installing the ROM from the sd card.
However I now have a massive issue in that whilst the phone will now work without Mounts2sd installed (well it works but I cant install any apps as no space to do that),
As soon as I install Mounts2sd on the phone and try to use it, whilst it does freeup the memory its meant to, it totally mucksup the entire phone by making every app freeze, making phone not turn off straight away when clicked to... ect
I have removed sdcard, re-partitioned it on my laptop into Fat32 & Ext2, re-installed the ROM multiple times, and then re-installed mounts2sd on the fresh rom and tried to use it,
But everytime I try it just screwsup the phone and makes all the apps and everything on the phone freeze!!
Ive now wiped all data/cache/dalvik,
re-flashed that cyanogen rom onto the phone again (mustve done that 50x now in last 2months),
and am about to try formatting the sd card again on my laptop, then re-partitioning it to Fat32 & Ext2.
But before I re-install Mounts2sd and get the exact same issue all over again,
please please can someone tell me how I can fix this or what im doing wrong??
And so how exactly I can install Mounts2sd back onto my phone again, but without it messingup the whole phone and making everything on it freeze?
Thankyou soooo much inadvance

[Q] "Storage full" with 9GB free space

Hi there!
I'm on EURetail.en.EU stock Lollipop (after fresh 4.4.4 -> 5.0.2) upgrade. Using latest TWRP from their site.
Installed my apps and Xposed + Gravity Box.
After one of the reboots i got a message about system storage full, even though I have 9GB of internal storage free.
Titanium Backup cannot access storage, camera apps (stock moto and Google Camera) both say my storage is full and I should clean it up.
Anyone knows what i can do in this situation? Preferably without data wipe/full wipa.
I've tried to look for some similiar issues but couldn't find anything relevant.
Thanks!
You'd know if you did a quick search. Wipe catch and davik catch and it will be fine
No need for a full wipe

Wipe cache and dalvik 2 or 3 times, did not work. I think TWRP is the culprit, as after full wipe it created the '0' folder again. Will try do everything again with Philz, we'll see
Strange, but I've only ever used philz so you could be right.
