I've rooted my HTC Sensation and put ARHD 5.02 on it. I remember from the past I had around 75 apps installed and everything was fine. But suddenly my Market does only show me 33 installed apps. But on my phone a definitely more apps.
I had looked for this problem but doesn't found anything, which could help me. Does anybody have an idea?

Do the build.prop edit for a well supported phone like Galaxy Nexus, also change the fingerprint to the GB one in build.prop as this causes some apps not to show if the ICS fingerprint is present
Try clearing the userdata of market via the app manager.
did you install some pirated applications? then it will not show up in market
In the past the Market showed all my ~75 apps. Cache delation didn't help. And the other thing I do not understand. What should I do with the fingerprint? I'm not really into this.

Hi.
Major issues with Market. Nothing downloading. Just the bar and starting download message.
Tried force stop, cache cleaning, reboots. No joy.
Ideas?

i've had this issue quite a bit on my incredible. usually cures itself by switching from wifi to 3g or the other way around. whichever you're on right now, try the other one.
Done that Mike. No change.

Go to applications market and uninstall updates.
Works fine here....
No updates to uninstall for the Market. Came as is.
I switched from Dinc to Droid X recently and encountered this problem pretty much out of the box. I believe I ended up clearing cache or data from the Gmail application and then Market downloads started to work correctly.
I just went to update an app that i have and Market Force Closed.
still downloaded ok though
I have a funny feeling this was an all around Android Market issue for many people... I had it too but now it seems to have cleared up...
You could try Titanium backup and the clear data option after tapping the market app.
It worked for me
my fix for this exact same problem (as described in the OP's first post) was to factory reset my phone (galaxy s) and log in using the @googlemail.com extension to my google email address instead of the usual @gmail.com
if that makes sense.. search google for a few other threads floating around with people who solved their market download "stalling" with this fix..
might be worth a try for you anyway.
Does anybody knows how to remove My Orders and My Devices form Android Market?
Earlier I used Desire HD. Some market application I did not used that time and off-course uninstalled them. That time those unused uninstalled also appeared onto my market account. Recently I changed my phone to Sensation but still those DHD applications are visible onto my market account. Even some of them automatically restored. I want to get rid of that by removing unappropriated stuffs.
When I used Desire HD android market's "My Devices" page showed desire HD. But now after using sensation, "My Devices" page is showing two devices.
Please help me by let me know how to remove My Orders and My Devices form Android Market?.

You can delete devices from there. I didnt even know the android market kept track of your devices until I went there a couple days ago. I saw every phone I had listed. It was weird to see my G1 listed from back in the day lol. I deleted them all except for my current Sensation.

Has anyone ever figured this out?
I flash my phone a few times a month and I think it is nice that it will reinstall all your market apps but there are a LOT that I just install to try and then want them GONE forever. Has anyone ever figured this out?
Thanks,
supersobbie
PS Yes I tried to uninstall from the settings menu as well as uninstalling using the market app on the phone. But I still have "FREE" apps on my orders list from January of this year that I do not install or use.
Nope, and Google are useless as well as they didn't even know that if you look on your Google Dashboard (all account data held by Google) you can see what they backup and how large the backup is
In order to get those old apps from your previous device not to restore on your new device all you have to do is not select "automatically restore backup" check when you first setup your device. I prefer to use titanium backup anyway because I prefer a more hands on approach. Hope that helps. Just do a factory reset and make sure you don't check that option the 2nd go-around.
this problem also bugs me too. I got a new phone and it doesn't automatically install all my apps, the market only seems to want to install to old phone?
and there are apps I do not wish to install.
the market app on the phone doesn't show any apps at all.
so I have to go through the market website and manually pick the apps.
I find it hard to believe that Google haven't done proper useability testing for this scenario, it's really crap.
Anyone else having nothing show up in their "My Apps" list? So frustrating. I had this problem with the previous Market update, but fixed it by using Titanium Backup to detach all Market links to apps not downloaded from the Market (i.e. apps from Amazon, System apps, side-loaded, etc.). This got all of my apps to reappear before. Now it doesn't work. Anyone have a solution? This sucks. I can't see what apps need updating now.

I believe I just read the solution was to simply clear data and cache in manage applications
If that doesn't fix for ya go ahead and fix permissions in recovery.
After doing those and if you have no success try uninstalling updates or installing an earlier version. If you need one let me know

That did not work for me. Also I don't like fixing permissions, because it takes my contacs pics when I text message. My apps disappear on every ROM I use, even on CM7.

Yeah, to everyone suggesting clearing the market app cache and/or data, that doesn't work with the latest Market. It worked with the previous Market, but only after unlinking the proper apps with Titanium.
I've tried rolling back to the previous Market, but it keeps auto-updating itself, even with the Market Updater app uninstalled.
Anyone know another way to roll back?

Unfortunately, this version still automatically updated to 3.4.4 in a matter of seconds after loading.
Weird. The market just notified me of 7 apps in need of updating and, when I pulled down the notification shade and tapped the notification, it took me to "My Apps" and I could scroll through them and update, etc. No problem. I left the Market, checked out a few apps, then went back to the market and could still see my apps. Then I rebooted and the problem resurfaced. No way to get back into My Apps.
Yarrrrrrgh! Somebody fix this!
FYI, experiencing this problem with my Samsung ET4G also...

I doubt all of these steps were necessary, but this is exactly what I did, and now I have all of my apps installed with the Market working perfectly.
I used Titanium to back up every app that wasn't originally installed from the Android Market, then uninstalled every one of them through Titanium. Then I went to Settings, Applications, Manage applications, and scrolled down to Market under the All tab and tapped "Uninstall updates." Then I made sure Data and Cache for the Market app were cleared and rebooted.
Then I loaded the Market and went to My Apps. As I expected, they all loaded just fine. Then I opened Titanium, restored the apk and data for all of my non-market apps and made sure they were all detached from the Market by long-pressing each one and choosing "detach." Then I rebooted again, launched the Market (which had already self-updated to 3.4.4) and everything was good.
Hope that helps.
Think you pointed it out right:
=> Restoring apps that were not downloaded using the market, with Titanium, seems to be the source of our problem, if Titanium wants to create links for apps that don't exist on the market, or that don't exist anymore (I have some old wallpapers coming from my HD2 for example, as well as apps to get video-games ROMs, or watch streaming TV series, that used to exist on the market and don't exist anymore. I also have apps from SlideMe market and a few found on the net)
I did the same as you, except that it was not enough, I had to completly wipe, then install a fresh ROM, then restored everything using Titanium, then used Titanium option to remove EVERY link from the market, then manually forced link to the apps comming from the market.
(I had already tried 3 times to go from a fresh ROM after full wipe, restoring apps with titanium was always creating the problem again and again...and your trick was not enough in my case, after uninstalling every app, the problem remained)
Now everything works fine (well, I had to download an update to get "my apps" listed again, at first, nothing was displayed!!)
I recently flashed the new Virtuous Quattro ICS ROM from the Desire HD thread and it works great except for the obvious camera issues (Had to flash a couple files for the audio and tinny sound fix) . My question is why are my apps not automatically showing up in the market when I select My Apps. It actually shows about 12 which makes it even more odd. I thought at first it might be because the apps aren't compatible with ICS, but i can manually search them and download them. I've had this happen once before when flashing a Coredroid ROM. Is there an easy answer to why this happens and possibly an even easier solution to fix it?
Try clearing market data then rebooting a few times or if you use TiBu(paid), use the market doctor feature then reboot a few times.
Apparently there is a new market with the ICS build as there is no option for clearing the cache or data. It should be under settings in the market correct?
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium
No, go to menu-settings-applications-all tab and select market, clear from there.
This also presupposes that ICS is setup this was. I haven't used it but this is how it's done in GB.
Saved and Texan by the grace of God, Redneck by choice.
Also remember that the market only keeps track of paid apps. It doesn't store free apps.
Hey I was wondering if anyone else has had apps install by themself, over the past few days a couple of apps have somehow showed up on my home screen. They don't show up under the app drawer or under apps in settings. Also ever since these started coming thru I keep getting notifications for other stuff like "lose belly fat" and "job offers starting at $325 and hour". I'm currently running aokp m6 if it helps. I've done a full wipe and it stopped for a day and then came back. I'll post some screen shots of the apps.
P.s. the ones installing automatically are the last three above the PayPal widget.

I too had some Apps install on their own. But they were apps I had before I attempted a NANDROID Restore, which for some odd reason failed and killed my Boot. So I was forced to re-flash my stock boot/ROM on my S3 (AT&T Flavor) and repeat the Rooting process. But once I started looking through my app drawer, some of these apps were being re-installed. Odd, perhaps some internal back-up that I'm not aware of on ICS.
Yea these are random apps that aren't even from the play store. When I click on them they open the browser and take me to a page to sign up for a subscription.

Have you installed recently any pirate app? An app not bought or downloaded from Android market?
I saw some apps that installs a patch that brings/installs apps and shortcuts on your cellphone. Tô solve this Just delete the program or patch and use an antivirus Just in case...
Good luck

I'm having this issue but its legit apps keep "updating" themselves baxk after I uninstall them
ie: bbm, flashify, (more I can't think off atm)
Some of the apps has Adware build in it, which means if you download the App, it will spam your Home screen full.
You can fix this problem by manually delete it everytime, to fix it permantly you need to delete the app.

Today I went as far as deleting history of them being installed in the app store... Waiting to see if they are back tomorrow
Update: still happening. Resorting to auto update off and still having to stop installs... Something to do with rebooting, or its triggering it
