Hi guys,
At the first time, thank all people who help us to enjoy our Desire S.
I write this post because I have a little problem with my native email client. My android version is 2.3.5 and Sense 3.0.
The problem is when I try to send an email to some people (no added to my contacts), I can't send it. I write the email addresses separated by semicolon but the email client doesn't recognized the email addresses...
You know how can I send this kind of emails without adding the receivers to my contacts??
Thank you very much.
"Semicolon"? Shouldn't be "comma" while multi-recipents?

Hi,
I have posted this as another thread but later thought about it, and it's more general rather then being specific to my device, certainly all wm6.1 devs and possabily earlier.
Basically i use my diamond to connect to my exchange server which hosts my personal mail, i have a forwarder which forwards all my mail to the exchange, so i can easily pick up my work mail from my personal exchange.
This is where my problem begins when i reply to a email or send it uses my exchange mail box.
I have added the work mail box to my phone with a rogue pop3 for source email so i am not pulling the same email from 2 sources, and specified smtp correctly and used the right username\pass.
I hoped by doing this when i send an email or replied it would ask me which account to send from however it uses which ever account you are in at the time of creating the mail.
I don't know if anyone else has achieved this or even tried anything similar.
Any suggestions welcomed.
thanks in advance
james
Hi guys, I am in a bit of bind and hoping someone can help me. I need to be able to send a batch of group emails (hotmail to about 20 email addresses) using my htc touch.
I can send out an email to one address, but can't seem to figure out how to initiate group emails using hotmail on my vogue?
thanks for any suggestions.
Hi,
I'm quite confident I used to use the gmail smtp (or another mail) to send mail from my student account outside the student network (where the student smtp didn't work).
I'm trying to do the same for my work mail at the moment.
What I want to do is use my gmail smtp to reply to work related mail. The work mail comes into my windows mobile device through IMAP, but when I reply (using gmail smtp) I want to have the reply to automatically to my work email. At the moment I have no idea why it doesn't do that, any idea where I should look?
TIA
Moved as not software release..

Hello
I like the email client that comes with android (the one for accessing secondary email accounts). It does seem to have a major limitation though, you can not move mail around to different folders (e.g. lets say an important message ended up in my spam folder by accident, I can not see any way to move that message to the inbox)
If this is in fact possible could someone please tell me how to do it, but if it is not (which from what I can tell this is the case) can someone recommend an email app that supports this function.
Thank You
***UPDATE***
Yes I am using the vanilla/AOSP email app being that I am running cm6
The email account that I am connecting to is my AOL account. I am not 100% certain but I thought AOL uses IMAP.
So I guess the new questions are 1) does AOL use IMAP and 2)does the AOSP email app allow you to move emails between folders
If what you are accessing is a POP3 account, then I believe no email client permits you do do this (as this sounds like a sync function only found in IMAP accounts).
What I found to work best (and easiest) is to have my alternate email accounts foward all my mail to my gmail account, and have my gmail account tag each email with the name of the incoming account (hotmail emails are taged hotmail, etc.).
This lets me recieve all my email with one single app (Gmail), provides me with push notifications for every email, permits me to sync emails effortlessly, an so on.

I'd think that any email client can do it, but I personally use K9 Mail and love it, and it certainly does this.
As the above poster says, if you're using POP this might not be possible. IMAP it certainly is. You should not being using POP anyway.
Don't know about the vanilla android one but I know the HTC Email program will let you move between folders.
