Thanks... Lol. Now have that dialpad screen show up automatically on all
calls. Thats what i am hoping for!

Anyone have an idea? I really miss this feature...

He already told u in 2nd post
Confused on why U asking again

yes but in my the third post it states that I am trying to get that dialpad screen to show up automatically. When using google voice and screening calls you have to press 1 on the dialpad to answer the call. If the dialpad was showing it would be soo much easier. I used to have this with my old phone

Oh ok . Your 3rd post I missread sounded like that helped u.
I'm not sure how

its ok. Thanks for your help! I am not the best with words... I don't think there is a solution...

Could always check the dialer settings. Go to the dialer but press menu instead of dialing and check there. For some reason its fc'ing on me.

yes, have tried that... No option in the dialer settings to change.

I too am looking for a solution to this problem. I've looked through the dialer, settings, and can't find an option to show it automatically. The setting simply isn't there. Has it moved somewhere else in ICS?

This has been a NIGHTMARE for me with calls being answered/rejected when I walk or take it out of my pocket.
I have today found this link

which allows you to put a delay of upto 2 seconds on the answer/decline button to help prevent 'accidental' presses.
Works so far for me, but will post any other problems that I find!

I have been using Android since Version 1.0 and the G1 and have NEVER seen the Notification Bar disappear before.
Also, the issue off the previous screen flashing on for a second instead of the lock screen when the phone comes out of sleep is still there.
Did LG/T-Mobile ever even test this OTA?
So it's a big deal?
That's what she said...
And speaking of the notification bar, I suppose it's trifle in this day and age of our smart phones to ***** but I would really like to have the "green" back on the notification bars.

Where's Call Settings in ICS?

Not something I use very often but today my mate and I were comparing the Nexus on ICS to the Samsung Galaxy SII on Gingerbread, and we couldn't find Call Settings anywhere on the Nexus, to set up things like forwarding calls?
I'm running CM9 A18 and hes just got the stock Gingerbread. I remember Call Settings being there in Settings on my stock GB Nexus S, so where's it moved to now?
did you try pressing the menu button?

Maybe you're opening the People app. Call settings are in the Phone app. I think there were more options in the settings menu on gingerbread as opposed to in the phone app.
edit: nvm

Anybody know of an app that displays SMS stats?

I've searched the play store, but am still finding it difficult to find the app I'm looking for.
I used to have an app back on the Touch Pro 2 called Power SMS that allowed me to see how often I texted someone, how many texts have been sent during a certain time frame, which day of the week I get most texts.. and stuff like that.
Here's a screenshot I was able to find

Have you tried Friday? It might have what you are looking for.

Hmm, that app seems to be more of a timeline kinda deal, not really what I was looking for.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
There might be some features like what you want in a SMS app like Chomp or Handcent.

I used to have an app like these that showed texts and calls by day and could even break them down by hours. Ill look through some of my old backups and see if I can find it.

Well now I know who I apparently call way to much. It is someone else's girlfriend. Lol woops?
I don't even remember talking to her on the phone anytime recently.

Missing delay send options?

In the email app and messaging app there used to be in the setting a way to set a delay that gave time to cancel/edit the message. I can't find those. See the pic from S5 stock message app

I agree! Was hoping some variant had this still available, like how the AT&T variant still has the option to disable the capacitive button lights in settings.

I'm running Verizon variant, and the email delay is no longer available. I guess I'll have to censor myself before clicking send in the future.
you can use "schedule message"....you can sit the time to send the message.....it's better than nothing
Try pressing and holding the send arrow when sending a test. Not sure about email.
Come to think about it, I use Messenger+ app from VZW, so it may not be in the Samsung messenger app
