I'm going to buy the hd2 and I was looking for some cool apps.. I saw that there are some users that asked about "measuring apps" like light meter, angle meter, sound meter..
but without much success..
It will be great if someone could post a list of those programs (expecially a seismometer app, really cool! like this one --> youtube search: Seismometer App Demo For Windows Phone 7 || can't post the url cause i'm new..||

try using the search function of the forum, than you'll find a few apps
or just browse the pages a bit, for example there is a metal detector app somewhere near the beginning of the themes and apps page

yes I've found some apps.. the only one I've not found yet is the seismometer.. I was searching for an iphone or wp7 (watch video) -like app.. but I couldn't find, also in other sites or forums..:\

Can we take a list of "safely" removable apps from our device? I think can be useful for people (like me) likes to have a minimal android installation.
In my opinion: less apps = more performance.
Unfortunatly i don't remember all the 3d and system apps i've unistalled... but to give you an idea, with stock rom, with no any tweaks, i have about 3300-3400 quadrant score.

There used to be a dedicated XDA-Devs app - in fact, I think I still have it installed - but it's not supported anymore. Kind of sad.

I'm a multitasker and I don't like Android killing my browser if I use one or two other applications for a minute or so, because I lose all my tabs content that way. While that isn't bad having a good network connection, it is real bad in subway train where I usally read news by phone and the internet connection is very bad.
So I tried many different things in order to prevent android from killing my browser, and finally I found a solution in the opera forum:

Adding this dummy service changed the applications oom priority from about 7 to 10 (--> gets killed soon to first) to an oom priority of 2 (which is totally stable for me).

Question:
Is there a relative easy way to add a dummy service to an existing application? Such as "knumsole" did described before? (I tried contacting him, but wasn't successful)
I'd like to be able to do that myself, e.g. if I need a newer version of the browser. With "easy", I mean: I'm not an application developer, and I don't intend to become one. But I am able to extract an .apk file and modify text files in there and so. And if it is necessary, I would also compile that, too.
I use Android 4.1.2 on a rooted Samsung Galaxy S2.

I don't believe antiviruses on phone. No impact I think. Only improve ram usage

That's true. Almost in all android cells, I have seen the Avast is installed. I do not have any doubt. It would be in number one for some years may be. Talking to the Gaming world, Temple Runner is also ahead, but we do not know how much time it would be... Because candy crush made crazy to people and other competitors come in market. Regarding the Auto Off Manager, there is no one to compete it as it is unique one and some apps are there in market but I do not think that that are comparable with this one.

Racing game one also very good
and Have not understood what is the Pie Control.
But I am strongly agree that Temple runner is the Highest downloaded one. Every one is crazy in this game....

For mentally Satisfaction, antivirus is required. I also have not seen any active participation of antivirus in android.

I do not know, in which way I hurt you. But truly speaking what I felt right, has written. Till now I do not know what to do for the community. But assure you that, I would not break the law of community. Word "The" always placed before best. If you can suggest me what to write before best, then I would be open always.

These are really good apps.
It would be better if you can give the link with these apps.
Above the apps, I am using the Chrome and WhatsApp. Others will at least once give a try.

You really has created a field in this forum. Your each post and reply costs 1000$s. Still my intention is not to create confusion among the forum members. Now let this thread run like this. In future I definitely give more value added posts and Threads.
