Phone doesnt Charge - T-Mobile LG G2x

Ok so i have been running CM7 with faux DS 0.47 OC/UV kernel for some time now without any major issues. I decided to try out the weapon 3.0 rom but i found it to be too glitchy/buggy on my phone, so i went back to cm7. However, now my phone doesnt charge ill plug it in to the charger, it will charge for 5 to 10 seconds and then just stop. This doesnt happen when i plug it into to my computer though, only when i plug it into a wall outlet source. Ive tried installing numerous ROMS, all with the same problem now. Anyone else experiencing this or know how to solve this issue?

I'm just gonna throw it out, maybe it'll help, maybe it'll sound stupid.
Try wiping your batt stats?
Although it sounds like a weirder problem altogether if it'll charge on your PC but not your wallcharger.

I would if i had another, but thing is when i connect the phone to my computer it charges fine and i can transfer data no problem. Its just when i try to charge through a wall outlet.

Hmmm this happened to me. I would wipe everything from the phone and do a clean flash of the rom you want. I suggest eagelsblood v1.1, it's been really good and stable for me. Also did you flash the nvidia back up app onto your g2x?

Is it the same USB you use on your computer and the wall charger? If no, then the USB cord/charger cord probably "died." One of my USB cords only charges and doesn't "receive" any data so that's all it's good for.
If yes then it's the wall charger (if you plug the USB into an adapter to plug to the wall).

alright, so i actually just ended up doing a nandroid flash/restore back to stock rooted froyo and it pretty much resolved all my problems, thanks for all your feedback though

[Q] Thunderbolt slow when plugged in?

Has anyone else noticed this. I have 4 friends with the TB and all of our phones are noticeably laggy when plugged in and it gets worse as the charge gets more full. If I plug my phone in at 90%+ I have to unplug it just to respond to a text message, other wise I am stuck typing a letter every 2-3 seconds.
I have experienced this on stock ROM, BAMF Remix 1.6 and the GB BAMF I am currently on. Of my friends one is still on stock and sees this. The other two are on GB BAMF.
As an experiment I plugged it into my car charger and when the phone is above 75%ish, it starts to interfere with AM radio signals while charging on the car charger; unplug it, and the radio works fine.
I have had cell phones since 1997 and this is the first I have ever seen of this. Anyone else experiencing this?
Yes, I have this problem as well..I heard it was from using non OEM chargers but I could be wrong

I am using the charger that came with my phone but a 3rd party USB cable (because it is longer). ::shrug:: I can try the original cable when I get home.
thought it was just me...Have same problem when the phone hits around 90 it gets real sluggish and then I have to take it off the charger to get it back to normal. I am on stock and using the charger that came with the phone.

Plugged my USB cable into my Belkin brand iPhone charger and it runs just fine. Did HTC make their chargers out of spec? I don't have the equipmnt to test.
I use the stock equipment HTC boxed with the phone as well as a Verizon car charger and I've never experienced this... I have a rooted friend who uses a 3rd party USB cord, let me cross-reference with him and test a couple different cord/charger configurations to see what happens. But basically I should see my TB start to lock up more and more relative to the charge?

Yeah, it seems related to being close to full charge. I am on an extended battery if that matters at all. On a 3rd party charger I notice it significantly less.
I would say its the extended battery, like I said this has never been a problem for me and my friend and I can't reproduce the issue on either cord, but then again we'really both on the stock battery... Interesting!

Quick fix for this is to reboot your bolt while it's plugged in and charging. One of the new dasbamf roms has the perm fix in it.
I have the same problem on rooted thunderbolt, stock battery, using oem charger as well as 3rd party. it doesnt always happen but often enough that i usually just pull the phone off the charger now if i need to use it.

Sensation won't charge.

For some strange reason my Sensation 4g running ARHD won't charge. This started 2 days ago when I noticed that charging it overnight did nothing. Before then it was fine.
When I plug it in, the light at the top lights up. My computer recognizes the phone as well. Right now it's sitting at 10% charge, so it's going to die soon. Any ideas?
Tried different cables to charge it with?
you can try cutting the micro usb side and put the black cable in the - and the red one on the +

I have not, since I don't have another cable. Like I said, it charged fine 2 days ago.
Edit: Now it auto shut off after the battery died. I plugged it back in, turned it on and it stays on. What on earth is going on?

If you can get hold of one that's what I would try first.
With my HTC Hero the phone stopped charging one day after charging okay previously and it turned out it was just the cable.
If you have a Kindle, digital camera or another phone it's likely you'll have a compatible cable.
It doesn't charge when plug to your computer?
Alright guys, tried a different cable and now it charges fine. Makes absolutely no sense that a USB cable would just randomly stop working though.
Thanks for all the help!

Charging glitch?

Idk what the problem is but when I charge my phone no charging indicator comes up, if I leave the screen off for a little bit and turn it back on the number increases as if it is charging also if I turn the phone off and plugin the charger it turns on the phone instead of going to the charging mode, anyone else witnessed this problem? I've tried 3 different chargers and the same thing, tried reformaormatting and installing a different rom and the same thing happens running matrix 19 kernal...please help?

How old is your phone? did you try a new cord? I its not likely that it's the kernel or the rom. It's more likely your usb port
Also never had that happen... I would also say port or cord...
Any themes installed or a flashed battery icon?

No, brand new install...my phone is a year old and its charging just not the way its supposed to, I would really hate to send my phone in, any ideas on how to clean clean the port? I've also tried different chords as well as wall outlets the first time it boots up after a fresh format/install it works perfect as soon as the phone shuts off or reboots it occurs

I found out what it is, I have one of those wall outlet chargers with the USB extension for the chord and I think the wall outlet part of the charger is messed up because I can take the USB chord out of it hook it up to the laptop and the charging icon appears bit still charges with the wall just no charging icon WEIRD

Strange charging behaviour

For the last 2 nights, my Nexus 5 has managed to lose power in stead of charging, see screenshot. I have no idea why the battery is draining when it is supposed to be charging. Also the phone is getting quite warm (about 40 degrees or higher).
Please give me a hint how I can solve this.

It could possibly be Kernel related. try flashing Stock kernel and see if the issue still exists

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
Brings me to the following question: how come that when I use the charging cable that came with the phone, batterystats show Charging AC, and when I use the same cable but with an USB extension cord, the stats show Charging USB? Could that be the faulty cable?
I have no other extension cable at hand now,so... Maybe somebody could try this as well?

Kernal issue try going back to stock
Went back to stock kernel and did a factory reset. That solved the problem.

[Q] Doesn't always fast charge?

Does anyone else have an issue with fast charging? I am using the original cable/charger that came in the box and I have to unplug/replug it in anywhere from 2-6 times for it to register as fast charging, sometimes more. I have also tried using the charger that came with my Note 4, same issue. Tried using a different wall outlet, same issue. I noticed a thread on Android Central references this same issue but as that is not purely T-Mobile brands, it's hard to gauge where the issue comes from.
Anyone else experiencing this?
If the usb isn't fully plugged in to the adapter, it won't fast charge. I haven't had any issues fast charging with the included charger or the note 4 charger.

I'm currently running ForeverLoco's ROM but I was running stock (both BOH4/BOH6) before recently flashing FL's ROM and the issue still happened. I'm starting to think it was a bad batch of devices sent to T-Mobile from what I am reading on Android Central forums. Was hoping someone here would have a suggestion for a fix but I might just have to take in and replace it since I'm still within the 14 day window.
Get a new one bro. Take it back and plug it in the store. Test it.

might as well get something new then a refurb one.
I have this issue but far less common for it to annoy me. Usually when I plug in our check my notification to make sure fast charging is enabled. My s6
Charger doesn't fast charge at all (same model number and same everything). The original charger fast charges 95% of the time. Yesterday was only the 2nd time I had to reseating the charger after I noticed I was still on 17% after 15min. And didn't see the fast charge notification.
Could be for me what someone else said about not plugging in all the way as it happens once in a blue but idk. My s6 had the same problem if it even is a problem.

This normal. The note 5 does not fast charge while the screen is On specially if the phone is being used... Is a safety precaution which is already answered by Samsung. I also had this issued and I was worried..

Wipe cache partition
This is a known issue with the update to 5ERA1. I had the exact same thing happen to mine. Phone will only do fast wireless. My charging port is emaculate. My wife just updated to 5ERA1 and her note 5 is glitching like crazy.
Wait, i have the same thing, but this is because of the cable or charger. I saw it a couple of weeks ago and now it happens a lot, so, when i connect my phone and its not fast charging, i just unplug the cable, wiggle it a bit and connect back. It doesnt work all the time so i might repeat this 2-3 time and in the end its fast charging. When i tried another good cable, it was fast charging all the time so before buying a new phone. try another good cable hope thats your problem
