I have a galaxy s2 that I can not get to go into download mode at all the guy flashed a 9100 kernel to it and more is not responding to any of the commands. Any help please

There should be a forum for this.... but yet nothing! And now the new s duos came in the market , and all are pretty cheaper !!!
The new one ( S7582 ) has the same specs except for the cpu and maybe the (gpu). The new one is 1.2GHz , dual core, and has android 4.2.
I want this rom tweaked and installed on my S7562...
