Anyone live in NJ, want to trade for Atrix?

Thinking about trying the inspire again, and I'm past my 30 days with the atrix. Its a fine phone with a huge battery and nice screen. Anyone want to give one a try let me know. I have an incipio feather case ill trade with it. Both case and phone are in mint condition. Inspire must also be in mint condition.

I guess. Shouldn't be a problem, both devices are on some sort of smartphone data plan... it's not like one is an iphone data plan and the other is just smartphone.

And why are you interested in an Inspire? Bigger screen? Better camera? Something else?

Haha there's nothing fishy, trust me. Truth is I've already owned an inspire. I love sense, and I basically got rid of it because of the battery life. I believe with the current roms and rocking green power premium, I could deal with it, and I want it back.
I'm a 23 year old college student, would only trade face to face, and would certainly let whoever demo the atrix to make sure its all good. I take exceptional care of all of my possessions. I'm the kind of dude that would lose it if so much a scratch happened on my phone.
They are both great phones, and I'm probable just being indecisive.

After thinking this through, I can't justify a trade without any sort of money thrown in to the deal. Especially considering I'm going to have to buy another case for the inspire.

Difference is atrix has its bootloader locked meaning u have to wait on every update via IT'S. It may be dual core but nothing on phone takes advantage of the processor speed. My inspire runs at a great rate and for those quadrant lovers,mine hits 32000 compared to atrix's 2700? If u love atrix,go got it. I returned mine and motoblur is flipping pathetic. Inspire ALL THE WAY!!

iControlPad with G2x

Does anybody know if the clamps that come with the iControlpad fit the G2x? I'm considering buying it, and if the clamps don't fit, I may attempt to make my own.

I would say they would fit. The iControlPad is designed to work with several phones.
Look up SizeEasy.com and compare the G2x with the iPhone and see if there is much of a difference. I would think the biggest factor is length (top to bottom) for the brackets since they snap to the sides of the gamepad and hold the phone.
If you buy it I would recommend taking pictures and posting them up for other users.

Cool, thanks. I'll probally end up buying it and letting everyone know. It'll be about another week until I order it, since I lack funds at the moment. When I get the iControlPad I'll review it, complete with pictures.

HP Touchpad price dropping to $99/$149 tomorrow!

Hey guys I saw no slickdeals that the price of the HP Touchpad is dropping 300 bucks tomorrow cause they dropped it! I called to confirm and its true, I bought 3 for the full price and they 100% guaranteed that I would be given credit when the price adjust tomorrow at 7AM EST.

I don't know about the hackability but I'll tell you this tab handles flash like a boss. Its the only one I've seen that can do 1080p youtube without a hitch. And I dunno, they are killing off the touchpad itself but they want to keep webOS alive, I don't really know what that means for webOS on the tab.

Uh, I've heard that someone is making progress with ubuntu but I've seen nothing on android. And its probably not gonna happen for all I know cause isn't honeycomb based on tegra?

So I can just buy this to just surf the internet? If so, I am ready to buy a couple.

Target and amazon both had it but they sold out in minutes. I don't know but maybe bestbuy might have it tomorrow, I say this because Bestbuy Canada had the $100 price online.

Honeycomb has been ported to the galaxy s line, galaxy tab and evo... Probably more too, I think Nook. So... Maybe it's possible?

I'm DEFINITELY buying one and I'm sure ICS can be ported to it when the time comes since the source will be released for it. This is a SNAPDRAGON QUALCOMM CPU and GPU and HTC uses that for their CPU/GPUs so I don't see why it's not possible, someone would have to write a kernel from scratch though to make it smoother, just like how the HD2 has Android, but it's not perfect since it's not using it's own kernel. If someone actually takes the time to unlock the bootloader(if it isn't already unlocked) and write up a kernel for it and port ICS to it, this tablet can be badass ;D $99 Android Tablet with ICS pl0x.

Im really hoping for an android port. The specs on this tab are actually quite good. Im probably going to end up keeping it regardless. I'll probably just end up using it for bedside web-browsing, movies, and music.
There's a killing to be made by porting android to this thing. thousands of people just picked up this thing on slickdeals (there are literally over 11k browsing right now). I know tons are willing to donate (im good for 10$-20$ myself depending on quality and progress)

Note 2. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Love mine.
You get performance out the wazoo, replaceable HUGE battery, sd card, multi Window, S pen, the development community is starting to pick up (the at&t guys roms are generally flashable to the tmo device), video playback is unbelievable, LTE is just around the corner, it's not an LG...
You can also walk into the store and buy one now. Nexus 4, maybe?
Downsides? The screen is huge, seems more fragile than other devices. Device size means that you will definitely need to play with one on the store before buying. It felt weird to me at the store but I took the plunge. Two days into owning before I decided that size was no big deal. It suffers from the Samsung device general weaknesses such as risk of imei loss and the goofy flash counter thing (these things can more or less be worked around). Obviously there is no physical keyboard.
This thing is awesome.

I too have never really liked LG phones. And despite the quad in the nexus being a bit more powerful, the Note 2 has a lot more to offer in terms of features.

Note II because you can always get a nexus ROM on a bigger screen

As soon as my taxes come in I'm buying the nexus 4. I have a feeling my "new" doubleshot was stolen out the mailbox. But at least you get a working device after all this time I'll be sad to leave this community but since I'm forced into a new phone Nexus it is.

Sorry man, that really sucks. Did it have tracking? or is there any way to find out at what point it got lost? But if it was sent in December then there might be a hold up somewhere. Most of the errors in postage happen around that time. Anyway, before you completely settle for the Nexus I think you should check out the Note II. I think it's worth it man.

Well the nexus is in my price range so it is what it is when it comes to that. I can't really afford the 299 dollar price tag the nexus comes with but my girl told me I'm not allowed to go without a cell phone so I should buy myself a device ill be happy with and spec wise its all I will need for the coming years.

That's sort of what I was thinking about. If I replace my MT4GS, I want a quad core with good support. I've been leaning towards an unlocked HTC One X or a Nexus 4 on StraightTalk's $45 unlimited plan. Finding a One X without a cracked or replaced digitizer is not easy.

Okay guys, if all goes well and I can grab the Nexus 4 today off craigslist for 350 this will be my last day on the doubleshot. I have to start emailing the posters to see if they still have them but I got the cash for my Nexus just have to get it in time.
I will NOT leave you guys out in the cold either. Ill still be around and will still do everything in my power to help you guys. And to think my mind went absent enough to think about iOS....anyways I hope to move some SWaRM stuff to the nexus as well

I mean I tend to hate lg but if it said any other brand id get one for myself too... well I think I still need the hardware keyboard and sd slot... she dosent... I guess she can keep it... Well there really isn't enough phone to judge the build quality. It kinda feels awkward in my hands too, but I'm a little dude so I'll get used to it. Its super thin and really light weight, but being all glass the back tends to get slick if you have sweaty hands, and gets dirty really easy.
The camera seems to be a great on in lighting but it will never be as crisp as the doubleshot. Here is the first pic I snapped of my daughter
So I'm so far very satisfied with what pure Google brings to the table.
Later I'm going to look into root/su and one of the many 4.2.1 ROMs out. But I think I could stay stock unrooted and be fine.
The ui smoothness is about on par with doubleshot. That's all I got now man, I haven't played much

OK so the phone is a pure dream to run, but the screen is no where near as crisp as the doubleshot. I'll take side by side pics tomorrow for you all.

I'm sure glad to hear you're getting such a hot little phone but it DOES seem like there should be some recourse for the DS not making it to you. With a bit of luck, you may end up with a new DS too!

I don't think deep end explains how insane i was thinking.
Getting root on this thing was one command ./fastboot oem unlock then i was able to fastboot recovery and flash su in about 2 minutes. I'm in heaven now guys, just flashed Paranoid Android v3+ its the first release candidate but its freaking smooth.
And yeah i was thinking today if the ds does come its def going to be used for you guys

I'm still skeptical on whether an enormous screen can really compensate for the lack of a real keyboard.
I have seen the note 2 in person, and my god it's huge. How anyone can carry that around as a phone is beyond me. It makes ANY other phone look mini in comparison.
Depending on how big your hands are, you can't even touch all parts of the screen with one hand. So one handed usability does drop a bit.

The bigger screen makes it so easy to type. I've had a slider phone for the last 3 years and its a breeze changing over to all touch typing. The big issue at first was the lack of physical buttons, and I'm still getting used to that

A Case Like This Needs to Happen

Saw someone mention the HTC One's accessory page the other day so I decided to check it out. They have an official case that seems perfect for what i'm looking for in a smart case:

I hope we get something along these lines that acts like a stand without adding too much bulk. Anyone know of any companies that do something similar to this?

Possibly. There are a lot of these already out for tabs. Maybe third parties will see this and bring it to the s4

Would love this on my s4, I hope some third party will make it for the S4.

Something like this is already made for the s3, I'm sure we'll see it for the s4.

There will be all kinds of cases like that. Samsung has a couple already for the SGS4.

I have this case on my htc one that's going back for a s4 but the case is ok abit cheaply made but does the job great for watching movies well I will be a x htc one owner to many quality issues will lifting bezels on my second one not risking a third so going to a s4 now.
