Im guessing it might have something to do with the flash messing with the stereoscopic effect...it is located right between the two lenses. I'm with you, its annoying that I can't use the 3d camera in the dark. Have you tried increasing the exposure? It might help with the darkness bit I have a feeling it wont fix the image noise issue.

Ok thanks it mit e look weird with 2 lots of shadows but isn't there a place to request developers to make apps. If I could make an app I would make the 3d camera with flash

don't think that is the case cause evo 3d also has the flash between the lenses and it can be used with 3d pics without messing with the stereoscopic effect...
Yeah the flash wont mess with the stereoscopy any more than the lightbulb lighting your room does. Its just not an option to use it in the current app which is stupid as hell if you ask me.

When I'm looking at the screen before I take a picture its very vibrant and bright and the quality is amazing but when I capture it then view it there allways very dim, anyone have a solution?

Same thing here. Only seems to do it while I'm using a rom that has the bravia engine though

In most cases, you have to learn how to use the camera. It's not a SLR system. What you see on the screen is not necessarily what you're going to capture. All the settings, and there are many of them... it's a pretty capable camera, in the camera menu are there for a reason. Leaving everything on "auto" is generally not the best way to approach photography. Experience is the best teacher. Learn what ISO, Exposure, White balance, Contrast, Scene mode, and two dozen other parameters do. It will help you get a great shot when you need one.
are the pictures affected? i'd assume not if everything on auto setting as mentioned above.
I played with the settings still dim pictures

Try increasing the brightness of the display. It should make the pictures look alot better.

I believe you may have misread the question. I think he is speaking of the brightness of the actual image, not it appearance in the gallery. The images are still dark when dumped to a computer. I believe the poster above has it correct to alter settings.
There is information in various reviews online that state that the camera functions well at either high or really low levels of light. If there is SOME light you're out of luck. I find this to be true with mine

The poster did not state that. He simply said it was dim when viewing it. I honestly had the same problem. Taking a picture and seeing how nice it looked but then when I went to look at it in the gallery it was dim. So I tried turning the brightness of the display up alil bit, it looked just as bright when I initially took the picture.

Oh I see. That picture is actually good tho. Here is one I took last weekend. The room was really really bright. The camera sensor on our phones need a decent amount of light for the picture to come out bright.

I only experience the issue when viewing in the Gallery, or immediately after taking the shot. When I turn auto-brightness off" they look exactly the same as they did on screen. As for dumping to the computer, I am not 100% but all of the ones uploaded to FB have been fine.
Yeah they ain't too great in dark rooms. But those pics look great. I compared some of my pics with my wife's 4s. She had to take the same pic several times to get it to show the detail mine showed with 1 shot

Because the parallax barrier (the one that gives 3D illusion) must be activated through certain programs. And if it would be possible would be a big power eater - just consider how much power is needed to view 3D photos on your phone for 5 minutes...then think about it a whole day.

Photos of a mushroom, or an lightbulb, some popping up folded papers,a sun powered toy flower and a welding robot. All made with a normal camera and elaborated in GIMP.
At the moment when the photos were taken I didn't had my eLGy.

Try the attached apk (this app only converts mpo and jps files to 3D column-interlaced wallpapers, no logic to enable / disable 3D mode...)
Usage
Homescreen -> Menu -> Wallpaper -> 3D wallpaper
As I don't own a LG phone, I'm not really sure if this is the correct way to select a wallpaper

Well I guess that's a memory problem... Anyway, first you'll need a patch to enable the 3D at the Homescreen, then I'll look into it
(e.g. when the o3d can display row-interlaced or column-interlaced wallpapers as 3D). To test this, check out StereoPhoto Maker

The O3D does column interlaced, and SBS/Half-SBS for photos natively in LANDSCAPE ONLY. This 3D background you're trying, WILL NOT DISPLAY IN ANYTHING BUT LANDSCAPE MODE. The screen's lentil separation technique is built into the actual display itself and only works Landscape as the lentils to separate the 2 images are horizontal (<-->) when you have the screen portrait (normal phone usage) and correctly vertical ( | to separate left/right images) when in Landscape. You will NEVER get a full 3D display with the phone in portrait, only landscape. As discussed before this is a physical limitation of the phone in the design of the screen. Think 3DS, you can't see the 3D effects if you turn the 3DS 90 degrees because the lentil separation is vertical, NOT horizontal across the screen, and there is no method or app that can change this. It's PHYSICAL.
The only reason I go around and rage in threads like this is because people come here with this wonderful phone with unrealistic expectations because they have not educated themselves on the actual limitations. Every device has a limitation somewhere, and you need to do some research into finding out where it is, so when you run across it, you're not coming back to us going "this phone sucks, it can't do blah blah blah", we tell you it just can't be done, save everyone's time, and your humility.

if phones parallax barier could do 3D in portrait you would see it in 3D just in very crapy quality.. and for your eye theory when you turn head in 90° you dont see in 3D? Better visit a doctor.

Well mate..you're right. But you have the greatest, latest and most powerful tech that allows you to see 3D as you said: brain and eyes and millions of years of perpetual perfection...But in this case, phone, the barrier parallax (or whatever is called) is in landscape.Yes, could be in portrait but I think it should have another barrier to do 3D in portrait.

You may increase sensors sensitivity in settings. Rotation angle is limited to 15 degrees to avoid unintuitive rotations.

Well, thanks for advice, i'll make an option to enable full 360 rotation by gyro. I just limited it to 15 degrees right now, because it looked a bit unintuitive, thought.
