i already posted this in the other Google Videos App threat but I dont know which is the correct Threat
....
Hi,
did anybody get the google videos apk working outside the usa with VPN?
I am in europe but with vpn i was able to rent a movie at the market.android.com web page.
I also have VPN enabled in my galaxy nexus and the rented movie appears in the videos apk but when I want to watch it or download it for offline use the following message appears:
"The Movie" is not available in your country
I have a vpn tunnel to the US active ... what more I need to change? Does it check the cell network provider?

Hi guys,
i wrote myself a little Application to browse shared folders and to play any file the xtreamer is capable of by selecting it on the smartphone.
I named it QPlayer as it can "play" from QR codes...

Setup:
At first you have to activate the XTreamer's webinterface.
Then enter the host computer's ip and it's name.
At last enter the xtreamer's ip in the settings of QPlayer.
Share some Folders on your host computer and you are done.
I tested it on XTreamer Sidewinder. Android version 4.0 minimum is required.
I would appretiate any feedback or suggestions for other features.
Bugreports are welcome, too!

Ok... using Xtreamer Pro 2.7.0 with QPlayer v2 on my Nexus 10.
RC works Login to my Synology NAS with smb://user[email protected] works. Can see my videos.
Try to playing some videos, doesn't work. I see only the loading circle and after 3-4s then stops. Tested with avi and mkv.
Searching also for a mod to integrate a UPNP/DLNA renderer feature!
In BubbleUPNP for Android i wish they is the XtreamerPro under Renderers!
Great idea, but it doesn't really work for me.
I installed the app, and while I can access my Xtreamer libraries, nothing much happens when I click a mp3.
App sais that the Information was sent to Xtreamer.
Also my Xtreamer screen quickly flips to the main screen and then back to where it was.
But it doesn't play music.
Any custom andriod rom for xtreamer sidewinder 3?

A: Some websites are restricted in some countries. Please check if you can open the site in browser. This app won't bypass the restrictions.
Q: Some functions used to work but now it's not!
A: Websites keep changing their services. If some websites stopped working please report via Feedback in Viget app and I'll fix it asap.

This app has several search options, including a catalog with 11 subcategories, a section for popular videos, a section for videos with the most views, plus another with daily recommendations.
Browsing is as simple as clicking any category or video or typing the name of the artist or song in the search bar. Once you find what you're looking for, you can play the video or download it directly to your device.
You can choose the quality of the download to save space on your phone's memory. You can also choose to download only the audio, which is useful when you just want to save a song or an album. Recent updates also allow the download of Facebook and Instagram videos.

To do watching it, you must install acestreamengine (will be asked when run app), and at least one Video player app ( we recommend MX-Player -use it as default player )
when you click on any channel, the acestream engine will appear and do prebuffering,
- If prebuffering still 0% or DL still 0KB/s in long time , that mean stream source is off now, please select another channel
- If peer connected still 0, that mean there is no active peer now, please select another channel
- If acestreamengine appear error: Load failed, please go to acestreamengine and select exit from option menu, then back and try again.
*note: this progress may take up to several minutes(depend on your internet speed and number of connected peer), please wait if the DL number still increase
after prebuffering done (reach 100% ), it will ask to select MediaPlayer, select MxPlayer
